In the post-apocalyptic world, Xie Sen was bitten to death by a zombie and woke up again as Xie Sen, the famous wastrel of Beast Star City – a child abandoned by the Beast God. After his 18th birthday, the contract beast did not awaken. This world did not have zombies, the air quality was also good, Xie Sen was very satisfied. The plot died after Maine and Xie Sen got together, I continued for Maine's beast. After a lot of filler Big Black was so cute and the arc was fun, so Maine's should be better right? Even if the story became boring af and I was fed filler with the streaming thing, it should get better after the filler.... Right????
- Maine's contract beast who I don't think has a name: as relevant as a chair.
- The baby thing was meh and glossed over.
- The plot of the book died. (Og with Maine as an antagonist)
- Maine is a piece of bread from God and everything he did in the og book was because of others and no fault of his own. (I mean fine, but since the novel is so boring I can't ignore it. I mean Xie Sen was willing to kill him if necessary)
- The plot of the dangers of other cities past the last of the water thingy is non-existent.
- Maine's personality also died.
- The 2 males that were in love disappeared after Xie Sen accepted his gender.
- Xie Sen got over his gender in a day twice.
- The filler is endless.
- The plot relevance of the plants also died at the end once the cabbage thing happened.
- WHY in the F is the last chapter a training montage????!!!!
- Xie Sen struggled for like 5-10 chapters with the original's issues before it didn't matter unless the plot required it.
- Maine also became as relevant as a pet at the end, his motive for existing is vinegar, being a body pillow, growling/fighting without much impact tbh, and solving Xie Sen's problems for plot convenience.
- All conflicts that were interesting were severed before they could do anything, even the main one of the energy after the second one (the 3rd was meh, the 4th was way to long for the whole lot of nothing it did in the plot after the rescue mission, the 5th and last one pt 1 was a joke, and the last one pt 2 was such a missed oportunity) and all the filler ones were explored till I was sick of them. Even the contract beasts did the same things, had new members, and repeated the cycle because the streaming plot was so overused even if it was never good.
I did like the last extra tho (aside from Tuan Tuan's ed, that's creepy), and that one scene of Maine's beast and the sunflower.
Tbh if it wasn't for the extra I would've been way more salty about this shitty novel, regardless its my fault for not dropping it once the filler started. On top of it I literally dropped another novel from the same author but didn't notice till I was like 27 chapters away from the end of this one.

i like this story.MC strong and kind but have an attitude. at the beginning MC get closer with ML to make sure that ML will not become a villain that describes on the book. if ML turn to become a vilalin,he will kill him. but with their interaction become deeper MC and ML falling in love an become a couple. i like the relationship between MC and contract beasts. the beast so powerfull and cute at the same time. ML more like human in this story. he still have an OP trait, a dominering, smart and vinegar jar ML like a danmei gong usually have but in this story because ML still young he still have a flaw, like a normal human should have. he always feels insecure, afraid that MC will abandon and leave him alone. he try to be as honest he can be in front MC. he knew that he is not a perfect person but trying his best to become a better person for MC

Really unique concept for a power system that I would love to see in different ways by others. MC is hardworking and kind even if he had alternative reasons for his motivation. The beasts are super adorable and deserve all the respect and toys. I actually love that the author gave a reasonable explanation for why the MC didn't awaken previously and why his kind of awakening is rare in this future
