Friends to Lovers/Trio Romance
This is not a love triangle, but about two men who love one woman equally, and their journey together from childhood to adult years.

Skye Cross is not unused to danger. In fact, she’s been around the block as far as danger is concerned. But when she wakes up bound and blindfolded in a cell with other prisoners, she knows immediately this is unlike any danger she has ever experienced before. Worse yet, she knows no one is coming to rescue her. While fear is her greatest weakness, she must come to embrace it as she is confronted with a terrifying new reality.

Hunter Dawes is known around town as the Savage. He is violent, he is damaged, and the only person that has ever been there for him is Skye. She is his world, his everything, his light in the darkness. But Hunter has issues, and there is something inside him that craves the darkness. Propelled into a dark world, he learns that to fight his demons he must become one himself.

Leo Itani is known as the Golden Boy of Brown Bay. He is rich, he is good looking, and he is secretly destined to take over his father’s seat at the High Table. Problem? The love of his life is a poor girl from the other side of town, and his best friend is being initiated into a Motorcycle Club that has been encroaching on his father’s territory.

Unbroken is not for the faint of heart. While Book One slowly introduces a dark world lurking in the shadows, filled with love and passion between kids who become adults, Book Two will be absolute carnage.

Leo Tolstoy — 'All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.'

R.J. Lewis — 'All normal people are alike: each psychopath is unique in its own way so fuck the statistics. I'm only writing about ppl with severe issues here🥰'

There's so much to unpack, good and bad, but two skillful virgins Eiffel towering another virgin was a truly memorable and romantic experience for me. Paris is a city of love in every sense of the word y'all

What a beautiful mess

R.J. Lewis is one of those author who is either a hit or a miss. I have read 3other books from this author so far, with only one making it to the fav list.

I love when she gives an equal fighting chances to all her characters, especially the heroine. I love her when she goes beyond the norm and creates a women, that gives them a piece of voice and the strength that we all respect in a woman but not generally in fiction somehow.
But here she did just that and I couldn't be more thankful.

She was beautiful and innocent and so full of life.

What I love about her books are the raw instinctual love that the heroes has for the heroines and the way he binds himself to them, thread by thread, and weaves a beautiful web of expectation for common folks like us. Made me fall in love with reading all over again.

I like when you’re happy,” I admitted, quietly.
“I only ever feel it with you,” he whispered, voice thick

He didn’t take the dandelion off—didn’t care if he looked ridiculous with it. If Skye wanted to decorate his entire head with flowers, he’d wear them proudly.

I love loved the the trio. Every character has their own complexity, that void which only either of them could fill and understand. Their friendship was so beautifully written, with every chapter uncovering the depth of their bond, from start to the finish. Each character plays a huge role in the story without overpowering the other and instead helps the story flow like a river by laying their own unique characteristics.

But even with such similarities, they were cut from a different cloth and how could one ignore such a daring fact. And no matter how much they try to bridge the connection again, it's not lost upon the readers, that the sea of envy was already creating havoc starting form their naive innocent hearts.

“One day, Hunt…we’re not going to be on the same side, are we?”
“No,” Hunter replied. “We aren’t

I appreciated the way the story moves on at it's own pace and gives the readers to sink in and absorb the world she has been creating with her hard work. Every page and I mean every…. had its own intentions, preparing us for the final heartbreak, we all unknowingly saw coming.

it had been a long time since he had climbed through my window, I was beginning to think that part of our lives was over.

Slowly they changed, like the weather, like a song..
The trio was so immersed in themselves that they failed to acknowledge all the sign of the world trying to tear them apart. They had such a dependent relationship going on, that it was nearly impossible for them to function without the other, Skye being the eye of the hurricane.

No, he told himself.
It was the three of them or none of them at all

My heart breaks for each character that I could not choose a favourite. And that’s the thing about beauty, it hurts, How can you expect me to be happy for one and completely ignore the heartbreak the other bears, you started the journey of the trio and so made me grow with them, made me love them regardless of their flaws and decision. So, I don’t understand how, as a reader, I am supposed to have my happy ending, when you selfishly created only one sun for the whole entire universe. Howww

Words fail me again.

Come back to me" he said

Thank you Lewis for such a heartwarming story.

i think my hopes were too high for this one. i haven’t read a 3some love story in a while so i was super excited for this one but it kinda disappointed me.

tropes👇

-3some (where both all love her, idk yet if they love each other)
-overly possessive hero (both technically but one more so)
-childhood friends to lovers
-“bad boy” x good girl
-some MC involvement

so yeah, high expectations didn’t get reached. way too little steam for me in a 3some relationship, i liked both heros but not fully. they had some icks. the writing though? it’s first POV for her chapters, and third POV for theirs. HATED IT! why?? what was the reason? it was so confusing and i would have much rather we first POV. it just wasn’t needed. it didn’t add anything.
i don’t think i’ll be coming back for the duet

Unbroken Book 1 is absolutely amazing! From start to finish, it hooks you and never let’s go. Your heart will race and you will feel literally emotion throughout the entire story. The ending will have you begging for more! I can’t wait for book 2.

R.J., you did it again girl! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love how R.J. Lewis builds her characters, and each character in every book I have read of hers changes, shows growth, and strength. I’ve been a longtime fan of this author’s writing. I absolutely love how the heroes in this author books adore the heroines.

The characters’ past is interesting as ‘now’

I’ll admit, I didn’t think I would enjoy this read since it’s not my cuppa, but I did. Again, R.J. Lewis didn’t disappoint.

Thank you for another insane, passionate, addictive read with lovable characters.

I devoured this book in 15 hrs and it's hard as heck not being able to talk about spoilers because I have more questions than answers and the biggest one involves that ending which I can't get out of my head.
RJ is seriously a gifted story weaver. The built up was delicious but the final 40% of the book was go, go, go.
To be totally honest i wasn't sure what direction it was going to go with Hunter/Leo (Hunter btw is just...to DIE FOR esp by the end but Leo has that quiet passionate love about him too). Anyway I was worried because ive never read a book about 2 guys and a 1 girl and it not be a love triangle. I can safely say it def is not a love triangle. The love the two guys have for Skye is shit you write poems about and they're OBSESSED with her. Shes a very sweet and strong heroine, and it was sort of sad watching her go from soft to hard.
like per usual with rjs books, you dont know the direction this story is going. you start to think you do, but then nope, she throws you for a loop and she prob laughs like a maniac on her keyboard lol. again the last 40 percent of this book has me like gahhhhh. I'm going to re-read it because maybe I missed some things and now that I know what's happening i might actually piece some of it together. again, more questions than answers. seriously cant wait for the second book.

Hmm

It had good moments... Their childhood was interesting. Don't know what to say...Spoilers following, may explain why

The three of them didn't have any role model while growing up. Didn't go much to school. Sky had her both parents but they were acting strange. Leo's parents were sycophats. Hunter's were no better. I understand that this was like a glue, bringing them together but still made me sad.
Leo*was working his bones" to take over his father "table ". ... She didn't understand what does this mean, me neither. Working what?? Basically, we have three kids that the future do not look bright for them specially with the education effort they were making (none). Sky's father Kurt was very active, to drive her to the school, to call at school and so on but suddenly he is out of the picture forgotten. Slowly slowly, the town they live start looking like a horrible scary place. On one side the bikers and in the other Leo's father with his "business" trading women lately. No police is mentioned until now no matter that all that is common knowledge. The three characters never thought of leaving this place. Sky started to sound stupid and weaker. The boys are half going crazy, killing, playing like a big men but they are just 18 y o. I can't remember even one normal person in this story.
I bought book one and two together. I'm still a little bit curious if the the main characters will find a way out of this mess. But I can't promise to finish book two. Talk later!

Loved Skye, Hunter and Leo.

Unbroken was one of those stories that sucked me in. The story of three  childhood friends who formed a bond so strong it tied them together in ways no one else could ever understand, they are everything to each other.

Their bond grows over the years from innocent friendship to much much more.
A girl who loves both her boys equally and could never choose between them and two boys who love the same girl and would never ask her to decide between them.

I loved Skye, Hunter and Leo they each had troubled backgrounds with Hunter and Skye being the trash kids of the neighbourhood and Leo being the towns golden boy, but being wealthy didn't mean Leo had an easy home life either.

The pace of the story flowed well and I enjoyed the flash backs. Getting more background on both Leo and Hunter showed their struggles and the darkness that lives in both of them. A darkness that Hunter embraces but Leo keeps on a tight leash.

Their lives have become dangerous, ugly and terrifying and now that they're older they can't keep pretending their worlds don't collide in more ways than one. Their only solace is Skye, she's still the light in their darkness. But everything has changed and Skye might just have to pay the ultimate price.

That ending OMG!! LOVED IT!! 👏 I can't wait to see what happens next.

TW: violence, kidnappping, trafficking
Book 1 of the Unbroken series - introduction of the series, providing a lot of background about the dark world, with lots of love and passion between kids who become adults - following two men who love woman, but isn't a love triangle. Storyline and characters were really well written and developed. Very intriguing from the start - it's a page-turner that keeps you at the edge of your seat. Big cliffhanger ending - excited for book 2.
I really enjoyed this and look forward to reading more from R.J. Lewis, and the rest of this series.

Loved this book from beginning to end! Cannot wait for book 2!

R.J. Lewis is one of my all time favorite authors. Her works are amazing, with every book she puts out you can see how she hones her craft more and more. It shows in the complexities, time, and details she puts into her stories. Unbroken was beautiful and I cannot wait for book 2. I was literally on the edge of my seat as I tore through this book. I absolutely loved the main characters and cannot wait to see the conclusion to their stories.

a knockout of a Book !!!!

I could not put it down for a second . A trios of close friends that love each other from ten years old. As they grow older the two guys Hunter or “ Savage” and Leo the well to do young man , adore Skye …as they grow older nothing Separates them . Nothing . Until they turn 18 and they act on their new physical feelings for one another …the last 40% of the book was a roller coaster of dread and excitement !!!! Book 2 where are you ?????

Well, she's only gone and done it again! Only this time there is two flawed characters to get seriously attached to. Cannot even begin to understand how this story will end, it will feel like the longest wait!

Annoyed!

This love triangle got annoying after a while. I just want to scream at Skye! I am ok with the past and present stories, however I did not realize the past took most of the book and built it up. With that said, I will read the 2nd book and hope it’s more present.
