Tons of information if you want to learn about the cattle industry in Florida, from the very beginning when Ponce de Leon brought the first cow over! A living history that you can still see today in Florida; author gives good information about where to go to experience it. Great book for teaching.

Much was learned from this book. The strength and endurance of the Cracker Cow. Where the name 'Cracker' orginated. How the state is preserving this Cracker Cow.
