READ IT BECAUSE This is your chance to see a different side to legendary witch hunter Doralia ven Denst.
THE STORY In the wake of the Siege of Excelsis, a humble scrivener is caught up in a web of terrible coincidences, and interrogated by the ruthless witch hunter Doralia ven Denst. Her consecrated crossbow in hand, Doralia wants nothing but the truth – no matter how it hides.
Richard Strachan lives in Edinburgh, UK. He has had stories published in magazines like Interzone, The Lonely Crowd, Gutter and New Writing Scotland, and writes for Games Workshop's Black Library imprint.
4.5* Once again Strachan delivers. In a short amount of pages, set in one single location, he delivers another excellent story. The tale is full of intrigue and mystery, as well as, being suitably dark and gritty. For me, AOS doesn’t need battles to be enjoyable, it needs rich interesting tales with nuanced characters and solid prose. I get all of this from Strachan’s writing and I look forward to his next work.
