Hilarious

I loved this from the very beginning. I laughed more than I had intended at the tale of a vampire who wanted to shake his booty. You will definitely enjoy.

*I received this book for free through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*

A book that rhymes and has a simple story. The illustrations are uncomplicated. They do look like they are missing something.

Also, there is a part where the vampire is naked with only socks on and covering himself. And another where he only has boxers on. Just a couple of things for parents to keep in mind (in case you don't want your kid to see that). All in all, this is an alright pick for a Halloween book.

Lost something only to find it somewhere else?

This is a cute story of a vampire's night out when he sets his cape down and leaves for a while. Upon returning to the place he put it, it was gone.

The storyline does a great job simultaneously matching the story to the illustrations. The art is nicely done in classic cartoon TV shows style. The rhythm of the writing is last word rhyming sentences.

There was one page where the vampire feels under dressed without his cape and this scene is imagined to be in his pajamas when he is mostly walking around in a suit without a cape in the story. It was an odd jump in the story. Since the vampire appeared to be outside, it could have been imagined as just being cold without a cape. This is not enough to detract from the rest of the book and great storyline. The story is age appropriate as suggested by the author.

Imaginative and delightful
I was left wanting more and see that this forms part of a series, so can't wait for more to come out. Well done to the writer and illustrator. This is a quirky, funny and delightful book. The verses rhyme which adds to the delight of the book. The illustrations are great and very well suited to the story. Highly recommend.

For what this book was, it was quite good. It has a slightly unprofessional/homemade look but since the book is designed for children, no one is really going to notice. The book is entertaining, even if it's a little bit clunky. Honestly, it's an inexpensive, entertaining book that will satisfy a small child.

This is an appealing and easy story for very young children to keep their attention and get them excited about reading and being read to. The rhymes and illustrations add lots of interest to the fantasy. Since the storyline is simple, it can serve to inspire conversations to help young children understand the folklore about vampires.

decent short story

It is a decent story but some of the dialogue doesn’t flow as well as it could have. Also it may be a bit young at 3 or 4 to learn about vampires. The images were good though.

Fun for Halloween or kids who love vampires

A cute and funny story about a vampire who loses his cape while partying. Little kids will think it’s very funny what this vampire goes through. And the rhymes are quite good too. I can see what it was an award-winner!

This is a cute story for Preschoolers about a vampire who looses his cape. I liked the extras at the end of the book- ie: find 17 of the X.

Fun for the kids

This book was a treat to read with my kids, especially now that they are getting ready for Halloween season. They loved the added challenge or counting all of the bats and snakes as we read. I couldn’t go on to the next page before everyone agreed on how many were on the page. Wonderfully illustrated and a fun read for my kids.
