Harpy: A Dark RH Romance

Rate this book
If you are looking for the traditional Cara North romance, look away. It says Dark on the cover for a reason.

It's really difficult to bully someone when they want it. I always want it. And so much more.

Could one man provide? Not when what I want is more than one man.

They try to control me. They try to manipulate me.

I'm young, not dumb, and when the darkest of these princes takes a real interest, it's time to level up.

He thinks because he's from a crime family he's wicked. Then he meets me, calls me the devil. He might be right because I don't just want their bodies, I want their hearts, their souls, and I intend to get everything I want.

One way or another.

Content warning: This is a dark, erotic, new adult, contemporary, reverse harem romance which means there is bullying, dub-con, and multiple partners at once.

This is incredible dark enemies to lovers reverse harem. When I started reading, I could not put Harpy down. Harpy is a strong woman who knows what she wants and even when her past throws her some curves, she manages them so well. But when she applies to be a house bunny for a frat house that is when the real fun begins. Tituss wants Harpy to pay for past mistakes, but things do not turn out the way he plans. Dane just wants to put Harpy in her place. Then there is the mystery man Apollo who wants to know why Dane and Tituss has fall for Harpy. So, he costs a slight problem for them but only to realize that Harpy is special. To see how they make their relationship work and watch them fall in love is priceless, but their relationship does have a few twists and turns. And the steamy scenes are incredible. The chemistry between Harpy and all the men are remarkable. I love their ending.
The characters in the books are amazing. Harpy, Dane, Tituss, and Apollo are perfect together. Cara North does fantastic job with storyline. The scenes are incredibly hot. I cannot wait to read more of this series. It definitely deserves more than 5⭐.

There were 2 parts that I found a little confusing with some of the conversations in this book. I wasn’t sure who was speaking and had to go back and reread the section to see what was going on. Other than that I really enjoyed this book.

I got this book as an ARC and I AM SO HAPPY I DID. The story is unique, fun and spicy.

I love a good standalone and this does not disappoint!

If you want something a little dark and a lot of fun, ready Harpy!

Cara I can't wait for your next!

This story starts out dark and stays that way. The characters are real, gritty and downright dirty. I grew to love these flawed characters as they grew to love each other. If hot and sweaty sex bothers you pass this book by. I greatly enjoyed this story.

Flawed but fantastic characters

Absolute crack! I went in expecting Harpy to be the one I absolutely rooted for. There were several turns that made me wonder whose team I wanted to cheer most. The characters were flawed in all the best ways and the growth they took together had me realizing I needed them all to win.
The author addressed consent in a way that really made me think and also challenged previously held views. I loved the realism of how each person got to be where they were and the choice to accept the dark both in themselves and each other.
I was honestly sad this was a stand alone because as I stated earlier, it was absolute crack that I would have kept coming back for another fix.

Oh wow! Where to start with Harpy?!? I loved this book so much. Harpy is a freshman at a college where her ex, Tituss, also attends. He is in a frat that has a tradition of finding "bunnies" to clean their houses, so naturally Harpy decides that she needs the job. Tituss wants her to pay for what happened to him and enlists his friend, Dane, to help. I love how Harpy riles Dane up. He is so hot headed and short fused that her being a teeny bit bratty will set him off 🤣🤣

Tituss and Dane work well together and people are starting to love Harpy in the house, which then has Apollo, a Junior, questioning what it is about her. And boy does he find out! He is darker than the other two, but him and Harpy feed off each other and when they're together, it's explosive!

I was sucked in from the beginning on this one. There is a lot of drama, a lot of spice, and a few twists that had me on the edge of my seat. I was gripping my kindle towards the end, not knowing what was going to happen or what happened.

This is the first book in the Crossbow University series and I am excited to see what is going to come next. This is a standalone and can be read as one. Does not end on any type of cliffhanger.

She made them her Kings when they didn't even realize it

I loved everything about this book. I gave it 4 stars because it was kinda rushed at the end. Plus I wish there was more drama suspense since it was suppose to be a dark RH. There was nothing dark here. Just erotic. Which I loved by the way. But nothing dark. I was waiting for gun fire stalker kidnapping yes ik technically she was with the kids but it was very mild and quick. I waiting for Mafia insolvent or something but nothing came. And the end was so fast time jumped a few tines. Alot was missed. I would of liked the epilog abit more. Of them living together already as a family with Rip. Going to school raising the boy. But didn't. Other than that this author wrote a really good book. This may be all ok with you. This is just my opinion. Please read this is was good sad it ended. Since it said book 1 I thought this was going to be a series series but it's of standalones I see cause the story here has ended. But please read this book.

Harpy is so deliciously dark and I. Am. Loving. It.

This was my first foray into a dark bully romance and my God what a journey I went on. Admittedly, it took me a couple chapters to truly get into, and one scene about did me in, but what a beautifully twisted book!

Apollo was hands down my favourite character. I love how mysterious and messed up he is, but at the same time he's so sweet in his own way that I couldn't resist being his. As much as I appreciated Tituss and Dane.....Apollo was my be all, end all.

AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT HARPY???? I'm so enthralled by her and her character growth throughout the book. I love how she took control and how she had her men, all her men, wrapped around her finger. I loved her as a character so much and I absolutely need to see more about her and her three very hunky men!

Definitely be sure to heed the content and trigger warnings, but if you're okay with those, you seriously need to take a chance on this and throw yourself into this series!

My third time reading it and I am giddy again

I normally don't like intimidation or influencing people to walk away from situations by making them feel uncomfortable. But damn, this was good. So good I read it again. I loved it. It gets 5 stars, not because I am a Patreon, not because I read it before everyone else, but because it makes me crave for more. Normally 4 stars is awesome but I wouldn't read it again since my TBR is off the chart full. This earned is 5 stars. Love it! Can you tell? I will gladly be an Advanced Reader for you any time Cara!

The story didn't flow very well...IMO. One of the hero's family is like mafia /maybe they are...we aren't really told.

Amazing RH story

Wanna be kept guessing on what is going to happen and with who?

This is the book for you. A girl who had a poor life with a worse mother who tries to destroy her daughter’s and a few young men’s lives. A young guy who just cared about his girlfriend, thinking she tried to destroy him.

Many lives intercept and a HEA that I loved. Steamy, dark, and not everyone’s tea, but sure was mine.

You want to read this

I didn't know what to expect with this book, but it was very well written and I really got into it. I loved that it was unpredictable for me. New twists and turns and the unexpected. Well worth the read!

love the dark humor

I don’t usually read books twice, but I just want to relive the humorous moments between the main characters again. Especially the secret looks and attempts to steal the girl between the guys. I also enjoy the story situations.

I read this awhile ago and didn’t finish it, there’s a ton of OW drama including intimate scenes with the hs supposed bff. I might try to read this again, it just got a little confusing for me.
