Five former sorority sisters, all in their 50's, undertake the adventure of a lifetime when a mysterious invite reunites them at an exclusive resort set on a private island.
Olivia was the quiet one. Her divorce from her alcoholic husband freed her in many ways but caused a rift with her daughter that seems impossible to heal.
Amanda was the perfect one. Widowed and desperately broke but hiding it, she needs a new start more than anyone can imagine.
Leigh Ann was the cheerleader. Her ongoing divorce is completely amicable, or so she’d like everyone to believe. The truth isn’t quite as rosy.
Grace was the party girl. And she still is, much to the dismay of her husband, who’s struggling to keep their restaurant afloat. Grace hopes her time away will give them both the space she thinks they need.
Katie was the brains. Now she’s incredibly successful but hiding secrets that could change her life if they were to get out.
When their beloved house mother invites them on an all-expenses-paid vacation, then drops a huge surprise on them, the five friends face a major decision. Can they overcome their pasts in order to take advantage of the amazing future being offered?
Take the journey to Compass Key with them and find out.

My thoughts: 📱53% 4:00:30 Ch. 25 - I'm surprised this is better than the previous books. My only issue is they keep adding characters and they already had too many in the first book. Also, no one is going to call you J. Henry that is a mouth full, why not just Jay? 📱83% 6:1601 Ch. 38 - I'm loving this more than the first book. I'm only pausing because my husband has lured me away with Survivor and The Amazing Race, he threatened to watch without me.
This was better than the first book! However, if the series was one long book this would be the climax portion. I'm going to start the next book right away, then maybe take a break. It's predictable but fun. I want to visit. We are finally at the end of the 2 weeks, but it feels like 2 months.
Recommend to others?: Yes! Short & Sweet. Perfect quick reads.

I would recommend this book andvthe series, these girls and Iris are family by choosing and the boys are fitting 8n perfectly. I couldn't have picked a better series to read then this one. If you choose to read it you will be reading one tight after the other to see what the girls are doing and how there lives have changed due to Iris motherly ways and kindness. Can't wait for the next book to come out.
When the story of Iris, who owns the captivating Compass Key resort ends , I so look forward to the next one. Will all of the five (5) girls who lived in the same sorority, with Iris as their house mother stay on at her island along with the generous offer to all own part of her resort or not? Looking forward to finding out. ENJOY! Happy Reading!! MARY C
Love, love this series. The five women, their friendship and their second chances at love is key on. I can relate to this women on some level, especially being in the over 50 age group. My opinion is that you need to start the series from book 1 so you can be with this five women as their story evolves. The originator of getting these women back together comes from the sorority mother, Iris. It the perfect beach read! I've already started reading the next book in the series.
I am loving the way in which the author is telling this story. While their mentor Iris was in the hospital, the new relationships were developing while the old friendships were strengthening. What a beautiful group of friends. There's a big twist in this book, too, which keeps me wanting to read more. It's really a very lovely story set in a paradise locale. Who wouldn't enjoy this? This entire series is highly recommended!
I am loving this series! The books should definitely be read in order from the beginning to get the full story. The characters are delightful, the setting is idyllic, and the story is compelling. I love the characters and the relationships between them. This is a fun, enchanting book, perfect for a relaxing beach read.
Maggie Miller writes THE best books. This series has been fabulous, can’t wait for the next one! Following the sorority sisters through their 2nd chance adventures in their 50’s is fun, entertaining, endearing and heartwarming. Most of us can identify with something happening in this story. Thanks Maggie, from a fellow beach lover.
LOVE LOVE LOVE all her books. I wish I could have all of her books!!!!!!I
I love the people and the setting. I want friends like her people. The location makes want to live there. I love the cats. They add a friendly note. The boats add a great touch making the island interesting and captivating. I want the author to keep writing forever!!
This book was so good. I have each character has on life issues with family or just wanting to do the right thing for their future. And help the lady that had impact each one them in College . And now they where helping her.
Love all of the ladies and especially Iris for bringing all of the ladies to the island and a plan to keep them by proving how they were all truly needed. Happy they all ended up very happy.
First but not yet the last, can wait to see what's going on next Every thing is in details written so you Cleary can see it like you are there with them on the island, From food to the landscape... Awesome
I really enjoy this series. I wish it was one huge book so I didn't have to keep stopping to order the next book. If you enjoy romance books, you will love this series.
I am liking these books but love is moving too fast. These are perfect dream books about living on a island, falling in love and money not being an issue. Where can I get in on that dream?
This enjoyable story continues. Olivia discovered that a great theft had occurred with Freda as the book keeper, stealing over a period of six years nine million dollars and some change. More to come, im sure. Old Freda's time is limited and jail time is assured
Amazing!!! I love how the friendship of five sorority women continues to grow and how they are always there for each other. It is amazing how they come to the aude if their former house mother, Iris. I just love this series.

This was another great book in the series. All five women make their own decisions about whether to stay at or leave the resort. iris finally is home from the hospital.
This was a very good book, very addictive, book this author is fantastic, really keeps my full attention, in her books and they are very easy to read! Makes you feel as if you are in the book yourself!
I'm following along with this series, which makes good summer reads. I thought I'd never make it to book #4, at first, but the characters I found interesting, with their varied lives on Mother's Island. Onto to the next book within the series.
3.5 stars adjusted to3 stars. I am not as addicted to this series as I was to her Blackbird Beach series. I am not sure if I'll continue with it or not. I do have a bunch of series that I want to try and if I'm not wowed by the 4th book maybe it is better to put this aside and move on! We'll see!
