Great for S/M lovers only

I know she writes dark novels, and I normally like her books, but this whole series is over the line into actual torture and rape. The sex scenes are also repetitive and way more devoted to sadism than sex. They are unbelievably long and drawn out and not erotic at all. I found myself skipping whole chapters to get back to the really good story line. Unless you're strongly into sadism and humiliation, don't bother with this particular series.

A truly outstanding dark mafia shifter romance with a subtle undertone of “enemies to lovers” that will capture the reader’s attention & does not let go until the last page has been turned. The story-line & plot is suspenseful, well-written & intriguing with well-developed characters that have unique distinctive personalities which ultimately complement each other.
It is about: the head of security (Elijah) for the Crimson Shadow Pack was sent to retrieve the alpha’s (Amir) daughter (Ashleigh) and discovers that she is his mate

Ashleigh's father intends to marry her to a Vampire. When Elijah, the lead warrior of the pack learns of this and realizes by scent that she is his mate, he leaves Amir's pack and takes Ashleigh. The Vampires and Wolf shifters are then at war and Ashleigh along with her alpha mate Elijah fight together to win against the evil around them.
This is a stand alone with lots of sizzling hot scenes and a HEA.

Another hot shifter story from the mind of Sara Fields. Elijah knows that Ashleigh is his mate and while she seems a bit stuck up, he's determined to break her and make her his. In the meantime, her father is in the middle of something that he shouldn't be so Elijah has to deal with that. This was a fast read and I enjoyed it!!!

Fast-paced shifter read with loads of drama, suspense and action. Intense and sizzling scenes with plenty of twist and turns. I liked this shifter read.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it. Elijah is basically the lead warrior and enforcer of the Crimson Shadow Pack. He has the loyalty of many. Alpha Amir has used Elijah to gain power with the wolf and vampire community despite the groups being enemies. During an attack, Elijah discovers that his mate is the Alpha’s daughter, Ashleigh. Ashleigh was raised very sheltered and solitary. Her mother died giving birth to her and her father was none to pleased that his only child was a girl. Her only purpose was to marry someone influential so her father can continue to horde the power he craves.

After an unconscionable decision of the alpha with the vampires, Elijah prepares to leave with his only request being that Ashleigh comes with him. This is where the story gets down and dirty. Ashleigh must learn who she belongs to. She fights as much as the mate bond allows her to.

This book amazingly has it all. Intrigue, loyalty, love and war all tied together. I think that is what keeps me coming back to this author. Her books are a plethora of all the things you want in a book including the naughty bits that you don’t want to mention. She has a way to make readers ok with the rough parts because her characters are ok with it. I hope that we get to hear more about this world. Sara’s books always leave me wanting to know more about her characters.

Ashleigh learns to submit but she has a little rebellious streak every now and then. What will her father do to get her back to strengthen his alliance with the vampires? What will Elijah do to keep her?

So, there’s this princess in a castle (aka, her father is the alpha of this particular pack) and her prince is not really a prince but he is her mate (how dare he?!), and then there’s the baddies (vampity vamps), add in a heavy dose of Sara Fields’ idea of the knotty and well, you might want to get comfortable. Because things change quickly and it’s a fun ride. Big things are happening with the Crimson Shadow Pack. Elijah and Ashleigh make for a great pair and they actually have a lot to teach each other with the potential to be a strong power couple. And I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out how hot this story is. Seriously so. It’s an absolutely delightful and dirty romp into Ms. Fields’ world of shifters, vampires and all the yumminess that comes with it. It's that good.

Elijah is a Wolf shifter And he has been loyal to his alpha. Fighting his battles protecting him and keeping him safe. But when he starts to work with vampires and plans to get into human trafficking he just can’t take it anymore. And he refuses his alphas command. And he wishes to fight the Alpha and take command. The alpha is a weak man first he planned to kill Elijah By using the vampires when that doesn’t work he gives him exile. To leave the pack with anyone that wishes to follow him so he doesn’t fight the alpha because the alpha knows he’ll lose. Elijah Says he will only go if the alpha gives him his daughter Ashleigh. Because she is his mate. But will she except him??
This is one hot read. He is one dominant man who will teach his mate he needs her obedience and support. And together they would make one amazing couple. Showing their pack how a true alpha and queen should act. I really enjoyed seeing a softer side of Elijah both with Ashleigh And Becca. Another fantastic read. I always know when I pick up a book by Sara fields I am in for a treat

This book is over the top hot. I love how she brings the paranormal side of her writing in the dark romance theme. This is one of the better paranormal dark romance books that I have read so far. The building of the relationship between the two characters caught and held my attention through out the book. The book had enough drama and suspense that made me keep turning page after page.

I love a good wolf book and while it started out well it sort of devolved into straight up abuse. Things got weird.

Ok there were also some inconsistencies within the story. At the start, when vampires are attacking thr fmc’s room, he goes up in wolf form. But then he grabs a gun from his belt and shoots the vampire 🧛‍♂️ ok then after that he then turns back into himself from a wolf?

So he shot a vampire as a wolf. With paws. 😵‍💫

I also felt like the fmc was inconsistent as well. She is acting like a brat bc she is expected to? Was she being haughty? Was she acting like a lady? Or was she just a class a type bitch? That was all super weird too. I couldn’t quite understand what she was.

Anyhoo. It was probably supposed to come off like a Daddy Dom/ Baby Brat vibe book. But he was beating the heck out of her before mating and sex the first time, like whipping her ass. Anyone who grew up getting the belt knows that shit hurts so badly you can’t help but cry. She barely did. It was weird.

It just felt off to me. Yeah. He is a brutal alpha. And she was a bitch/brat/misunderstood whatever.
I get it.
But it annoys me when people do bdsm type books but the person getting their asses beaten red, have no clue. And then they are all, “ohhh in so wet”. Or they are just “offended” like omg he tore my ass up. 🤭 Shocker.

Nah. I know this is fantasy so it doesn’t bother me, it just makes for an inconsistent story. I couldn’t quite finish it bc it just didn’t vibe with me.

And I have zero triggers or issues with a bratty fmc getting the beat down. She got what she deserved but I think it should have had more build up. Either way, read it for yourself.

This book is phenomenal. The antagonist continuously resurfaces, adding to the thrilling narrative. The author launches the story with a powerful truth that sets an unforgettable tone. The characters are remarkable, and their connection is both compelling and rewarding as they ultimately achieve their happily-ever-after. The alpha is incredibly dominant, cranking up the heat, while the action and danger kept me glued to the pages until the end.

Elijah is an alpha soldier within the Crimson Shadow Pack, yet unfairly regarded as second-class. He takes on all the dirty work that his Alpha avoids. When he rescues Ashleigh, the Alpha’s daughter, from vampires, he realizes she is his fated mate—though claiming her seems out of reach. Ashleigh is meant to be bartered off to enhance power.

Initially, she battles Elijah fiercely, but through punishment, spankings, and a powerful blend of strength and love, she begins to recognize the truth of their bond. While Elijah is a wolf and an Alpha, it’s expected that his mate submits. However, Ashleigh, being the daughter of an Alpha, initially perceives him as merely a brute. She soon discovers that her resistance will not go unpunished. Elijah utilizes various methods—his hands, a belt, a paddle—and is relentless in claiming her. OMG! This story was fantastic, the author Sara Fields has done an awesome job. I could not put the book down, once you start you are sucked in from the start. There were some twist and turns, enemies, anger, blood, killings, kidnapping, spankings, rough sexual scenes, pain and pleasure, action, danger, suspense, dominants, lust, passion and lots more emotions throughout the story.
Ashleigh (Little Wolf) is the daughter of the Alpha for the Crimson Shadow Pack she is submissive to the Alpha and primed to wed someone of equal value, that her father only uses her as a pawn and her father knew who she would be wedded to. Elijah is the head solider to the Alpha. The Alpha was setting up a deal and told Elijah to get it organised Elijah refused. Elijah ended up leaving with most of the pack and the daughter, they ended up taking over a Chalet from the vampires. Elijah now Alpha of the new pack and made his Little Wolf Queen, he claimed her as his mate, it was hot and juicy with pleasure after pleasure. Now they just have to prepare for her father to take them down.

Ashleigh is a spoiled, pampered princess, raised to be nothing more than a wife to whomever her father chooses. Her father has always been rather disappointed at having a daughter instead of a son. Elijah Baumann is her father's muscle. He is a soldier of the Crimson Shadows Pack of wolves in Austria, and when he finds her at the hands of a would-be kidnapping vampire, he scents her as his mate. Once he challenges her father the alpha, it is a done deal. He takes a significant portion of the pack with him, along with Ashleigh, and mounts, claims and ruts her repeatedly.
Ashleigh comes off as vapid at first, but she is more than she initially appears. She just needs someone to believe in her. Elijah embodies a confident alpha male, willing to fight for what is his, including his mate. He is liberal with his belt and paddle on her bottom, and is not a tender man. Sara Fields writes dark and filthy romances, by her own admission. This one is darker than some, and filthier than many. While the MC's do fall in love, and do get their HEA, getting there is a long and winding road. This is not my favorite by the author, but it is worth the read.

Wow this book down right dirty even for me so be warned that there is a fine line between consensual and rape in this book and might not be everyone’s cup of tea but in saying that I enjoyed the book anyway. Elijah Baumann is head of security for the Crimson Shadow Pack and the Alpha Amir and his daughter Ashleigh are to be protected at all costs but when vampires try and kidnap Ashleigh he saves her but being so close to her now he realises she is his mate and claim’s her body roughly after a sound spanking and Ashleigh realises Elijah is what’s she has been looking for all along and he will stop anyone from claiming what’s his even her father who is planning his daughters marriage to another pack for power and money after the first attempt didn’t work out. When Elijah hears what Amir has planned for his daughter he challenges him to be the new alpha and make Ashleigh his mate his forever. There is a lot more sex scenes in this book than I realized but I loved every page I turned. Does Elijah become the new alpha and get the girl or not, there is heaps more to this book and if you like it raw, dirty, than this book is for you.

He learns to become the Alpha with her by his side as his mate

If you have read a book by Sara Cates before then you know what to expect with Alpha Brute. This is the third book in the Wolf Kings series and is about Elijah Baumann and Ashleigh Wyss. Elijah is a wolf shifter who is a soldier within the Crimson Shadow pack. He is respected and servers the Alpha, Amir, by being his go to man. Ashleigh is Amir's beloved daughter who has a tendency to do things she is not meant to. When Amir and the Malkovian vampire clan are going to sign a peace treaty things end up going off plan in an admirable way. What Elijah was not expecting was the vampire clan to come after Ashleigh, she to be his mate and that he would have to take her from her father to keep her safe, and even start his own pack. Along the way there are a lot of very smoldering hot sex and more than a bit of action and drama.

Brute Force..

The third book in the alpha kings series and follows second in command of the Crimson Shadow pack Elijah, who when battling vampires he scents his fated mate in Ashleigh the Alpha’s daughter…
Ashleigh’s life as the alphas daughter is a lonely one so she knows that her future would be decided by her father but when she is attacked by Vampires in her home she is saved by her fathers soldier Elijah..
But when a disagreement between Elijah and the alpha threatens the pack… Elijah decides to leave and he takes Ashleigh with him, to start a new life and new pack The Rising Sun..
I quite enjoyed the plot in this story and the characters were well written and in true Sara Fields style the hot steamy scenes are swoon worthy and one of the reasons I love reading her books…

Soooo It's amazing but not for the weak of hearts.

I would check trigger warnings. I am a very strong minded person and I don't normally read something without triggers. I have a black soul or no soul. The spice is amazing!! With that being said it is intense. Elijah is a wolf as well as an Alpha and his mate is expected to submit but she is daughter of an alpha and because of Elijah place in the pack she sees him as just a brute. She learns quickly that she has to be punished for her resistance.

Elijah uses his hands, belt, paddle as well as he is brutal when he claims her. She likes it and wants it but there is resistance because she has always seen her future a different way because of her father.

With all that being said I will give this a 4.5 for spice. I'm going to say this one last time please be prepared.

Alpha Brute is a riveting read. Elijah and Ashleigh are drawn to each other, but she fights against it HARD!

Their first exchange had me wondering what type a man he is. That was quickly answered as he points out it is exactly what she needs and will not admit she wants.
I was drawn into the story as they began to build their lives together. As danger comes back, it was exciting to see how much had changed since the beginning of their relationship.

As a fan and knowing the spectrum of stories the author writes, I will say this one falls closer to Alpha but not as far as Alpha King. There is more of a balance to their relationship that Elijah expresses to Ashleigh. Definitely discipline, but he gives plenty of opportunities to avoid it.

A satisfying read.

Amir is making deals with the shifter's sworn enemies, the vampires, and is in talks to traffic women and children. Amir's daughter Ashleigh is both attracted and repulsed by Elijah and both know they are each other's fated mates. When Elijah challenges Amir for Alpha, Amir knows he can't win so offers Elijah his own pack. Elijah decides to leave and his only request is that Ashleigh comes with him. But Amir will not make leaving that easy. The book is full of sizzle, steam, action, drama, twists, and crazy turns. Another great alpha read by Sara Fields and you can read it for free with your Kindle Unlimited subscription.

Ashleigh and Elijah are wolf-shifters in the Crimson Shadow pack- she's the Alpha's daughter and he's a soldier. He realizes she's his mate and wants to train her as his. After confronting his Alpha, Elijah makes a deal to leave the pack with those who want to follow him and to take Ashleigh with him. Once the genital spanking and belt around the neck started during sex, I did a lot of clicking through in search of more plot - basically a wolves versus vampires. The bulk of the book was simply brutal sexual experiences and Ashleigh's proclamations of falling in love with Elijah didn't resonate with me. I've read dark books, including some by this author, and this one was a hit and a miss for me.

Well if you like growly, possessive, spank happy Alpha's then Alpha Brute is right up your street. As for me yes I do but even I have to admit a lot of book time was taken up with all kinds of kindness.......Spanking, toys, dominance and plenty of sexy times. I'm not saying that they weren't hot but to me there was more to this story. The story was engaging and I enjoyed reading that just as much. For me the relationship Ashleigh and Elijah had without the sexy times made it for me. Ashleigh came into her own with a sense of freedom with Elijah. It gave her more strength and a better character I thought. A great read that I enjoyed reading

Elijah is second in command to the weak and not so nice Alpha who is trying to marry his daughter off to a vampire for an alliance. Elijah knows that Ashleigh is his mate and makes that very clear to her with dominant sex that includes spanking and submission. Ashleigh likes it but she feels disloyal because she always knew that her role was to marry to strengthen the pack. Elijah challenges the alpha and ends up taking Ashleigh and much of the pack follows him as he starts his own pack as the alpha. I really enjoyed this story. I found Ashleigh a little annoying. There are some strong D/S elements but that's what Sara Fields writes.

Good but really brutal! Ashleigh is the daughter of the Alpha of the Crimson Shadows wolf pack and her father has plans for marrying her off. Elijah is the enforcer, but he is struck by her and knows she is his destined mate. When he is ordered to escort her to her arranged marriage to a vampire, he refuses and takes her with him to start a new pack. Not surprisingly this doesn't go over well with her father causing lots of mayhem. I really liked the characters and the story with the exception of the rather over-the-top brutal spankings and rough sex. I would have enjoyed it more if it was toned down a bit. Certainly not for the faint of heart!

Elijah has been Amir’s head of security for a while. Done all the dirty work. When Vampires try to take the Alpha’s daughter, Ashleigh, Elijah is there to save her. But she is more than the Alpha’s daughter, her scent proves that she is his mate. But Ash is royal and set to marry someone in a vying pack. Not happening. Amir is weak and the Pack needs new leadership.

When we first meet Ashleigh, you think that she is a snob. But she is a pawn in her father’s game to gain power. He didn’t care about her at all. His first marriage for his daughter didn’t work out and then you find out he has another plan for her. It is beyond the realm. Elijah isn’t about to have anyone take his fated mate from him. Ashleigh was fighting the connection in the beginning but soon learned, with punishment and love, that Elijah was the strength she needed. I have to say he has a dirty mouth and could make anyone shiver. I enjoyed it. Once these two were finally on the same page things were great. Of course her father almost messed it up. But strength and love prevailed.

Little did she know she was his.

This is an awesome book. Sara's ability to build the world the story takes place makes it easy for you to jump into the story. The pack princess has no idea what is in store for her from either her father or her fated mate. There will be war between families and only the strongest will survive. The hot dominate wolf will bring his little wolf to heel. It takes a lot of rough hot discipline and hot sex to slow her down. Beware there are possible triggers for some. I enjoyed reading this book!

Hotness Overload!

Hotness Overload! A soldier plus a alpha daughter equals hotness overload in this newest release that doesn’t disappoint. Drama, danger and heat level galore surrounds Elijah and Ashleigh journey. He knew that she was his mate, but their world doesn’t allow for an alpha daughter to mate with anyone but their status. Until he fights for what is his and wins her hand and he will teach her who is really her alpha. I love all the deliciousness surrounding the storyline with lots of action, twist and sexiness that leads to a HEA.

In the world of wold shifters, vampires and humans, it is easy to imagine persistent unrest and struggle for dominance. Political power struggle within Elijah and Ashleigh’s pack brought this to the forefront amidst the steamy mate storyline. Elijah comes across mostly as a dominant yet somewhat emotionally closed alpha. Ashleigh made me smile as she struggles against her independent tendencies. I found this to be great steamy dominant alpha shifter story with an emotionally satisfying ending.
