Not a bad read but ....
This book had potential to be really good. I enjoyed the it but there were lots of spelling and grammar mistakes which I am sure would annoy some people. The story itself is about Marco and Lais and although she had been promised to the Don from age 11 their start in life was not great. Some parts of the book seemed rushed but overall it was an easy read.

😎😍 great start
Lasi was placed in a covent at a young age until the time came for her to marry the Don Marco. The day finally arrived to marry Marco Lasi decide to jump out and run. She had heard of the crime story of the Don Marco and she was stairs what would happen to her. I found the story cute and interesting of the Italian Mob. Merging of two families. Also ensuring to stay empower of the family.

Como decian abajo en las reseñas, no es un mal libro pero senti que estaba leyendo a una estupida al principio. No tenia sentido durante 10 años sin hacer nada? Y como que fluyo mucho la relacion y no hubo ningun conflicto. Para leer un rato y entretenerse si.
Marco es el jefe de la mafia y tiene que hacer un trato con Portugal, entonces arregla un matrimonio pero cuqndo llega su futura esposa tiene 11 años y tiene que esperar 10 años.
Laia/Lais tiene 21 y tiene que salir del convento del cual estuvo encerrada para casarse con un hombre que ni siquiera vio, por eso se escapa del auto y casi muere asesinada y toda sucia con frio y hambre. El la encuentra, la salva y se van enamorando después de casarse.
Donatella es una capa de la mafia que la quiere matar porque es ex de Marco, y basicamente sus dos intentos son el conflicto del libro. Laia queda embarazada y con eso termina de enloquecer.

When I first came upon this author and book, I decided not to read this book because of the negative reviews. I came upon this author and book a second time and decided to read the sample to this book on Amazon, and I liked it. Despite the grammar errors and errors this was a very good book. It had the tropes I love, chemistry between the two main characters, and romance. Most importantly Marco was a true man and nice! I also liked Lais, she was strong and nice! I hope the next two books are just as good as this first one in the series. Update: I checked out the last two books of this series and they are not for me. In book two the FMC is 25 years old and a virgin, whatever. She is too old! In book three the FMC is engage to another guy. I don't think her and Mateo will get married in the book. So disappointed!

While it is an easy read, I could not finish it (got to about half way). Because this book was translated to English, the sentences, the grammar, the misspelling of words took away from the feelings a reader would experience from many of the expressions. They dialogue between characters was not fluid in much of the book and quite honestly it felt mostly disjointed. I imagine the author, though, is a very good one and her books in their original language would be far more enjoyable to read.

I was hesitant to get this because of no reviews. It turned out pretty good!
Lais is promised to Marco as a child. At 11 she was sent to live with nuns until the day of her marriage. Lais ends up running away. Will Marco find her? Read it to find out. Anxiously waiting for next book!

Gostei mais dos personagens secundários do que do casal principal. Inclusive, torci pela vilã!!! Ela era doida? Sim, mas icônica se a autora quisesse trabalhar isso. Chegou em 50% e eu não estava instigada a ler porque tava bem morno. Terminei esse pra seguir pro próximo da série, porque essa autora é boa em ligar um livro no outro

Overall storyline was good but there were many other things wrong with it. Incomplete sentences, somethings said made no sense or shouldn't have popped up at that instance and monologue between characters sounded like young children having a conversation and not adults.

Not very good
I read the whole book but I didn’t care for it there’s a lot of misspelled words in the story. There was a lot of stuff that didn’t make sense I think words were missing in sentences so yeah I don’t care for it too much much

Disappointed
The writer needs to get better editors and grammer/spell check. There was so many errors. The story was weak and it appeared it was all about Marco enjoyment on the bedroom. Disappointed all around.

so many errors

A tener conto che la traduzione e' affidata ad AI , tenendo conto che la trama non e' neanche lontanamente quella promessa dalla sinossi, almeno so con chi massacrarlo in compagnia .
Della serie Mal comune mezzo Gaudio .
Comunque the bourne indentity le fa un baffo a Lais .
Che poi la gente entra ed esce da casa come se fosse un ostello. Certe cose erano Boh , Mah , altre erano incommentabili .

Passi la traduzione meh, purtroppo pero pure il protagonista piu che il “Capo Supremo di Italia” sembri l’ultimo pirla sbeffeggiato pure dal più basso in grado dei suoi sottoposti. Che delusione. Però ammetto che certe “perle” di traduzione mi hanno fatto morire dal ridere. Ottimo da leggere in compagnia.

A trama e muito simples, tudo muito superficial, inclusive a conexão entre Marco e Laís. Quando se trata de Máfia esperamos tudo muito intenso e esse livro foi tudo muito light.

No começo eu achei o livro interessante, gostei de ver a forma como a Laís lutava pra ser livre, mas depois se tornou cansativo e previsível demais, quase abandonei o livro.
