A broken engagement, a betrothal contract, and too much champagne leads to Hermione moving to the United States with a piece of Draco Malfoy that she most certainly hadn't packed in her bags. Five years later, she's back in London to embark on a new journey and finds herself a bit in over head as a single mother to a special little girl.
It started off so well only for me to kind of lose interest about halfway through. Well, I read all of it in the end, but the first half was definitely more engaging, and if this 4yo really was 91 cm tall and 13,5 kg, then she really was on the smaller size, because these are basically the measurements for my 2.5yo (she's 93 cm tall and weighs 13 kg). Also, I understand my experience with my kids doesn't translate to all kids, but this Aurora is waaaaaaay out of my experience with kids and I have tought at a kindergarten as well. She's very talkative with strangers, accepts basically everyone as someone close... when according to my experience, the adult has to really work for it so that the kid would even talk to them.
Theo and Harry ... oh my god, what a fluff-fest these two were in this story.
Also, I got the feeling that a lot of things that should have been talked about in more detail, were basically fade to black scenes. And when you could have easily skipped something, more detail is given.
I think I would be able to bump this up a bit *if* someone went through and edited. The sheer magnitude of spelling errors pulled me out of the book constantly. Spellcheck alone would have done wonders.
DNF halfway through, for the "secret child plot" to be credible, the story and the actions of the characters have to be very well developed, here I felt that everyone was annoying.
