The Power of Thank You: Discover the Joy of Gratitude by Joyce Meyer is a relatively short and easy to read book with a powerful message and reminder to be grateful for the things in your life.

In The Power of Thank You, Meyer shares both personal stories and stories from the Bible to encourage readers to be grateful for both the little things and the big things in their lives. Even when life isn't going the way that you hoped, Meyer encourages readers to find something to be thankful for. This book is easy to read and understand. While I didn't really learn anything new in this book, it was a good reminder to me to be thankful for so many things. I think it would be an especially good book to give a new Christian that is struggling. One of the features I especially liked about this book is the appendix that has thirty days of things to thank God for based on various Scriptures throughout the Bible. I like to use a gratitude journal every day and she has a beautiful one that matches this book too.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions within this review are my own.

"The Power of Thank you" by Joyce Meyer is such a wonderful reminder and a pleasant read! If you are a big fan of Joyce Meyer like I am, then you know that her books are filled with scripture as she also uses inspirational quotes to start each chapter and she loves to share personal stories about her and her ministry. Joyce has great insight on how to be thankful for the good and bad times, claiming victory and trusting God through the unknowns. Joyce encourages her readers to be thankful and say so - to articulate your gratitude to God and to others. Joyce goes into great description over some of the heroes in the Bible who remained thankful and saw God's goodness in their lives, people like: Esther, Nehemiah and Joseph. Joyce warns against grumbling, fault finding and complaining and even shares some of the unpleasant things that happen to her and her family and her ministry on any given week. She says "Stuff happens!" but to continue to praise the Lord through it. Joyce emphasizes that praise and worship is a spiritual weapon. My book had a '30 days of THANK YOU' at the end, verses to stand on for each new day. I highly recommend!

Study this Book to Become More Grateful

We live in a world full of negativity. If you don’t believe me watch five minutes of the news. Bestselling author Joyce Meyer helps us understand the biblical attitude shift to gratitude with THE POWER OF THANK YOU: DISCOVER THE JOY OF GRATITUDE.

Meyer has written twelve, easy-to-read chapters with a combination of personal stories, Scriptures, and stories about others. The book is filled with practical insights like, “I have come to believe that we would have no appreciation or gratitude for life’s good times if we never experienced difficulties. Many of us are extremely grateful for all that God has done for us in Christ because we did have difficult and painful lives.” (Page 31)

THE POWER OF THANK YOU is filled with ideas for every Christian to become more grateful. I highly recommend this book.

“He who is not contented with what he has, would not be contented with what he would like to have.”
— Socrates

Although this is not a book about holiday Thanksgiving, it is about being thankful in every moment of every day… or attempt to at least. Joyce opened my eyes to a lot as she often does. And reminded me that most of the discontentment I face every day is in a way, related to my ungratefulness.

The more civilized and comfortable we get as a society, the more soft we become. When inconveniences start to become mountains instead of molehills, our ungrateful hearts start to sing a chorus of complaining.

To combat this, I’d like to start a gratitude journal. In our family, we state what we are grateful for every Thanksgiving, but wouldn’t be great if we did this every week?

We have so much to be thankful for! At the very least, it’s a beautiful day and most of us have eyes to witness it. At the most, we get to celebrate this age old American tradition with the people we love and admire in the places we call home!

…for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound.
— Philippians 4:11-12, NKJV

Happy Thanksgiving!

This was nice! The perfect book to read a small portion of every morning. It’s a really quick read and very inspiring!

I had never heard of the author before. Picked this up from the new shelf at the library. It’s very pretty!

I wouldn’t say I agree with every single spiritual thought in the book- her beliefs are not exactly in line with mine, but pretty close.

It wasn’t all fluff either. A book like this has the potential to be super cliche, but this wasn’t! It had some unique thoughts that I now try to remind myself of now.

“People who complain actually think they deserve better than their current circumstance.”

So many helpful ideas for almost anyone.

I live grateful every single day so this book resonated with me in a big way. Thanking God in all things is very different than thanking for all things. God is good all the time even when we struggle to see the good. Joyce writes, "Gratitude is power." And, I completely agree. The enemy of our souls would rather we be complaining, whiny and grumpy! And, God our Provider desires we be content and grateful.
I recommend this book for those who struggle with everyday gratitude - the accompanying "Thank You Journal" will help you see all the things to be thankful for, on a daily basis.

Another brilliant read by Joyce Meyer. This book and its principles have made my life so much better, in spite of difficult circumstances. Learning to be more thankful creates so much more light and joy, and of course, with all the scripture references, you can be assured that it's biblical. It's a beautiful book inside and out. Well worth the read.

Joyce Meyer's new book The Power of Thank You: Discover the Joy of Gratitude is an easy read filled with practical steps to help you live a more intentionally grateful life.

And.

I cringed. More than once. 😬

That said, The Power of Thank You is a timely reminder that we can always find something to be thankful for—even during a global pandemic.

As a companion to the book, the author has simultaneously released the My Thank You Journal diary—filled with blank lined pages featuring mini-excerpts from the book and Bible verses about gratitude, thankfulness, and encouragement.

Together, the book, journal, and a nice pen would make a lovely gift for the Joyce Meyer fan in your life.

THE POWER OF THANK YOU

Part memoir, part self-help manual, The Power of Thank You, is packed with down-to-earth advice for cultivating a holistic lifestyle of gratitude.

Book Trailer Video:
https://www.youtube.com/embed/P3Za8sd...

The book is written in a conversational tone with lots of first-person references and recollections. Reading it, you're likely to feel as if Joyce Meyer, herself, is sitting right across the table from you at your favorite coffee shop sharing her latest insights about "God-winks," thankfulness, and encouragement while you quietly sip your caramel macchiato.

Image of thanks postcard and latte.

The first chapter forms the foundation for the entire book. Based her strong conviction that "Thankfulness Is God's Will," the author pulls powerful stories from her personal life, the Bible, and a variety of websites to paint a picture of what life could look like if one were to live according to the Apostle Paul's admonition to the Christians in Thessaloniki:

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18

The book is structured like a mind map with each branch (chapter) representing a specific aspect of gratitude. Chapter topics range from contentment and humility to complaints and spiritual warfare.

But it's more than that.

Meyer's advice is practical and prescriptive—based as much on her personal experience as Scripture. She offers numerous tips and suggestions which methodically move the reader from internal perception and reflection to external awareness and action.

Action. Flowing freely from a grateful heart.

Photo of person holding white sign with black letters. Sign says GRATEFUL.

A masterful storyteller, Meyer explains the ripple effects of random acts of gratitude and illustrates how one simple action can change a person's life. Literally.

The Power of Thank You takes the reader on a journey from understanding the importance of gratitude and practicing spiritual thanksgiving to cultivating a generous lifestyle and wielding gratitude as a weapon.

CRINGEY PARTS

As much as I'd like to recommend this book with no caveats, I cannot. Some of the passages made me cringe because of the following reasons: (1) lingering tidbits of the prosperity gospel, (2) unchecked ableism, and (3) no trigger warnings.

Cringe #1: Prosperity Gospel

First, name it/claim it. Although the author has moved away from this false teaching (see the 2019 article in Relevant Magazine for more details), tidbits of prosperity gospel still found their way onto the page. On more than one occasion she explains how one's thoughts control what God will and will not do.

If you are thankful for what you have, God is more inclined to give you what you are asking for. One time I was asking God for something, and as He spoke to my heart a thought came to me: Why should I give you more if you are complaining about what you already have?Page 47

The above assertion is more parental than biblical, like something a mom would tell her ungrateful child. But God isn't like us. God doesn't withhold blessings because our attitude sucks, and neither does He shower us with them simply because we've got a good attitude. You can learn more about how it's okay to complain to God here.

Cringe #2: Ableist Tendencies

Second—and I write this with great trepidation because I'm calling out a woman who has an international ministry and has improved the lives of thousands and thousands of humans—It's obvious to me that the author has ableist tendencies.

Woman in orange top sitting on black wheelchair. She's looking into her laptop and waving hello.

What, you ask, is ableism? According to AccessLiving.org:

Ableism is the discrimination of and social prejudice against people with disabilities based on the belief that typical abilities are superior. At its heart, ableism is rooted in the assumption that disabled people require ‘fixing’ and defines people by their disability. Like racism and sexism, ableism classifies entire groups of people as ‘less than,’ and includes harmful stereotypes, misconceptions, and generalizations of people with disabilities.

Meyer assumes her readers are healthy and able-bodied. It's an ableist worldview, and since I'm learning about belonging and inclusion, I've become more aware of what it looks like. Here's one example of ableism in this book:

I think we would all be surprised by our blessings if we would count them—and we would be healthier and happier. Think about this: Were you thankful this morning that you could jump out of bed and walk to the bathroom without needing assistance or a walker to get there? If breathing is something you do regularly without any effort, have you thought of what a blessing it is? All we need to do is watch someone who has a severe case of emphysema and has to carry an oxygen tank at all times, and we will be very thankful for the breath we usually take for granted.Page 54

I know her heart is in the right place, but framing her argument like this shows an ableist bias. We all need to be aware of our hidden biases and our tendency to "other" people who are different than us. As followers of Jesus, part of our mission is to stop "othering" and promote belonging. You can learn more about ableism here.

Cringe #3: No Trigger Warnings

Joyce Meyer has done a lot of work to come to terms with what she suffered as a child. If the reader is unaware of the author's horrific background, the matter-of-factness with which it's addressed could trigger traumatic memories.

There were no trigger warnings anywhere in the book, and some of the personal stories were shocking and detailed enough to make me wonder why. Although there's a huge online debate about whether or not books should contain content warnings, and while readers who know the author's background won't find it shocking, those who are unfamiliar would definitely benefit from a little notice.

Caitlin Berve, CEO of Ignited Ink Writing, explains why trigger warnings matter in this brief video: https://www.youtube.com/embed/3JIZBKq... .

If you're still reading this review, then consider this a trigger warning for the book. The stories Meyer shares are not graphic, but they are traumatic and could trigger an emotional response in readers who've lived through something similar.

Final Thoughts

In The Power of Thank You: Discover the Joy of Gratitude, you'll be inspired to cultivate more gratitude in your life, motivated to mine thankfulness even out of the toughest circumstances, and equipped to encourage others who will benefit from your thoughtfulness. I recommend this book with the above caveats.

BUT WAIT. THERE'S MORE!

As I mentioned above, the My Thank You Journal was created to accompany the book. The intent is for the reader to use it daily as a place to capture thankful thoughts, record blessings and "God-winks," and keep track of prayer requests and praises.

Each page is beautifully laid out with a floral border and either a Bible verse or a quote from the book, and there is plenty of space for you to journal or draw. According to the listing on Amazon.com, the journal contains 160 lined pages (6.25" x 8.3"); however, the pages are not numbered. They are thick, though, so your pen should not bleed through.

I suggest you number the pages as you go and reserve aside a couple pages at the back of the book to create your own index of special entries for quick reference. While the journal makes a perfect companion to the book, it's also perfectly beautiful on its own. I highly recommend the My Thank You Journal with or without the book it's based on.

We know it is God's will we be thankful at all times in everything (1 Thess. 5:18). We may not realize how important thankfulness is or even know how to consistently be thankful. Meyer to the rescue. She has written this book to help us understand the power of being thankful and to encourage us to make a firm commitment to be more thankful than we have ever been before.

Being thankful will change our lives, Meyer writes. It will release joy, affect our prayers, and keep us focused on the positive, on our blessing instead of our problems. In case we think Meyer writes in theory only, she shares many of her experiences, giving readers realistic insight into her own life of trials and struggles to be thankful.

There were some surprises in this book. One was Meyer identifying thankfulness as a sign of spiritual maturity. Another was the revelation that Paul never prayed that peoples' problems would go away but that they would bear them with a good attitude.

Meyer covers many topics, giving practical suggestions on being content, understanding the purpose of trials, being positive without ignoring reality, being generous, the necessity of humility, and much more. In case we are at a loss as to maintaining a consistent attitude of thankfulness to God, she has included an Appendix with thirty specific suggestions.

This is another inspiring yet practical book by Meyer. If you have trouble being thankful, reading this book will definitely get you on the journey.

I received a complimentary egalley of this book from the publisher. My comments are an independent and honest review.

While I think that the Power of Thank you had the potential to be an excellent book, I would rate it at the middle class level because of the content. I love Joyce Meyer and her books, but I felt like this one didn’t present a whole lot of new ideas. I would still recommend it, but it wasn’t my favorite.

In The Power of Thank You, Joyce Meyer explored the topic of being thankful and having gratitude of everything God has done for us. She shared how the words, “thanks and be thankful” appear in one hundred verses of the Bible. She explained how the Israelites struggled with being thankful and how they would be thankful one minute and be complaining the next. Only two men, Joshua and Caleb made it into the promise land. This was in fact cause that the rest complained and failed to have the faith that have could conquer the land and face the giants. She also looked at the power of saying thank you and showing appreciation. She encouraged readers to express thanks in our relationships and marriage instead of just dwelling on their shortcomings. Throughout the book, she explored how Bible characters also showed their generosity. Some of these included Abraham giving him the best of the land, Joseph protecting and forgiving his brothers, Job, Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Susanna.

In the book, she shared how she started her ministry and how it started in her basement with eight employees. One person had to use a cardboard furniture box for a desk. They worked in her home for about three years until they were able to rent a 1,700 square foot office complex. Now, the ministry has a distribution center and a building totaling to be about 218,000 square feet. Joyce shared how she was blessed and how God was able to provide for them. She also opened up about her home life and how times have changes and she learned to be thankful for everything she has.

I would recommend this life changing book to anyone who is ready for their life to change and they are seeking the keys on how to have more joy in their life. I immensely liked how Joyce teaches readers on how to have more gratitude. One of my favorite things, she included was how she personally kept a record of unpleasant things that happened to her within eight weeks and this was on over 2 full pages in length. She explained how if she focused on all of that negative, she wouldn’t have joy or even display thanksgiving. I really liked how she did this to show how her life isn’t perfect and things happened to her in her life. We can instead choose to keep a thankful journal and write down what we are thankful for each day. I think everyone should try both ways to see the different in their attitudes between the different weeks. They can compare the lists to see which one they felt better and more joyful. I also liked how she discussed spiritual blessing and what she was thankful for and where she come from. I also liked the 30 days appendix of thank you and this was all based on different verses for each day.

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW ON MY BLOG: http://bookreadingtic.com/2022/06/17/... THANK YOU!

I Want to Thank You!

Are you discontent, do you feel unhappy? I have two words for you: thank you.

When was the last time you thanked God, not in a rote way, but from your heart? God tells us over and over again to be thankful. Not so much that He wants to hear it, but because it will help us.

Our words carry a lot of weight and can change things for good or bad. As Proverbs 18: 21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, those who love it, and indulge it, will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words." Speak life (positive things), not death when you talk.

Do not take blessings for granted, feel entitled, or that you are better than others. Get rid of pride, and be humble. As the author says, "a thankful heart opens the door for blessings from God, but a proud one blocks them." Our worth and value are in Christ, not in our own abilities.

"Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all His benefits." - Psalm 103:2

The devil knows the power of thankfulness, so he will try to discourage us from being appreciative, to not thank God or others. Instead, trust God, be thankful and stress levels will drop, while more gladness will come into your life. Keep God first in all that you do. When praying, instead of just going down your list of wants, ask God what He would like you to pray for, and your happiness will increase.

Follow the advice in this five-star book, and add thankfulness to your life. Thank God and thank others. Don't speak negative things, and stay humble. After making a practice of that, see if you, and those around you, start to have more pleasure and joy in life!

"Thank God in everything (no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks), for this is the will of God for you...." -- 1 Thessalonians 5:18

I've been using a gratitude journal for years, so I was interested in reading this book, as well as using the associated journal. As I expected, Meyer didn't disappoint.

Meyer starts by reminding the reader that: “The words thanks and thanksgiving appear in approximately one hundred verses in the Bible, and we are told to give thanks seventy-three times. I believe that anything the Holy Spirit repeats that often must be important to my life and yours.”

There is so much negativity in the world these days, and it costs nothing to be kind, to say a kind word to others, etc., and it's an action that can make a huge difference (on us and the recipient). Our words have power, and it's important to use them for good.

This book is filled with tips that anyone can easily implement. Chapters include: Thankfulness Is God's Will, Be Thankful and Say So, God Doesn't Answer Complaints, The Power of Thank You, and Humility and Gratitude. There is also a wonderful appendix that lists Thirty Days of Thank You, which lists thirty verses pertaining to gratitude. There are also lots of specific examples listed of how the reader can bless others.

Some of my favorite quotes:
- "Seek God's presence, not His presents."
- "Do not complain about things you are not willing to do anything about."
- "Saying thank you doesn't cost anything."
- "We should be building people up, not putting them down."
- "Giving thanks shifts your focus away from your problems and into the answers."

NOTE: There are mentions of Covid-19, which could be a trigger to some readers. However, they are limited and not in-depth discussions.

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher, but I wasn't required to leave a review.

The Power of Thank You
Discover the Joy of Gratitude

Pub Date 25 Jan 2022 |
FaithWords
Christian

I am reviewing a copy of The Power of Thank You through FaithWords and Netgalley:

In The Power of Thank you we are reminded that each moment we are given is a gift from God and that we can choose to have a thankful attitude and live each moment full of joy, simply because God is good. In the Power of Thank You, Joyce Meyers encourages us to take a look at ourselves and the importance of being thankful.

We are reminded that living life with a heart of gratitude for who God is and what He has done lifts your burdens and allows you to see everything in a different light. Regularly giving thanks to God not only helps you fully realize how He’s working in your life, it gives you a new perspective—your mind is renewed, your attitude is improved, and you're filled with joy.

There will certainly be things that happen to you in life, that don’t seem fair and it’s much easier to make excuses and feel sorry for yourself. Keep saying, “I trust You, God, and I believe You will work it all out for my good.” If you find The Power of Thank You in every situation, truly believing that God is working everything out for your good, you will end up with the victory every single time.

I give The Power of Thank You five out of five stars!

This audio was short and although American narrators aren't always my favourites, but this sounded authentic to the author.

Joyce talks about the trials she has faced in her life, including being sexually abused by her father, and how she has worked this out to find joy in gratitude. She gives anecdotes about other people finding joy, including examples from Bible stories.

I would describe this as "very Christian", which is not a bad thing, but I do see how this isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea as some people won't be able to get past the Joyce's joy in the Lord and the multitude of Bible verses (some may call it "preachiness" and some may call it "a great sermon when you can't get to church").

It was slightly repetitive, but I think everyone can agree with at least some of the points about the value of gratitude in mental health.

It reminded me a little of How Happiness Happens: Finding Lasting Joy in a World of Comparison, Disappointment, and Unmet Expectations, and I thought HHH was better, so if you're going to read something Christian about joy, do HHH. (I HIGHLY recommend that audio over the book, btw).

The Power of Thank You: Discover the Joy of Gratitude is the latest release by one of the world's leading Bible teachers and #1 New York Times bestselling author, Joyce Meyer. The power of a grateful heart is the main theme of this timely book which invites us to practice thanksgiving on a daily basis. With encouragement and wisdom, Joyce teaches an attitude of gratitude for every aspect of life. Whether a new beginning or a reaffirmation of faith, she shares how speaking words of thanks will bring us closer to the Lord. In particular, she explains how a thankful heart will change our lives by opening our eyes to the goodness of the Lord. By sharing gratitude and generosity with others, God will fulfill the ultimate purpose in our lives. As an added bonus, Joyce includes thirty days of thank you scriptures to motivate us to discover the joys of gratitude on a daily basis. Also available is My Thank You Journal by Joyce Meyer, a cheerful journal which includes inspiring quotes to aid us in seeking the goodness of God while giving thanks. In my opinion, there's no better way to reaffirm our thankfulness than by journaling. If you're looking for some inspiration, I highly recommend both.

I received both books from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Being thankful has been a theme in many Christian books lately. Joyce Meyer's latest takes on the same subject of being thankful, along with saying it to others and God, making Christians better in their walk, along with wanting to do more for others.
The book is easy to read and is geared more toward a Christian who is already in the faith. Some books are geared for newer Christians, and although a newer Christian will still get valuable information out of this, the writer jumps into the topic, along with some of the Biblical references, assuming that the reader knows vaguely the stories. I enjoyed the chapter on the entitlement mentality, along with the layout of the pages which has been featured the same way in several of her recent books I have reviewed (which you can read by searching her name in the archives). In her other works, she sometimes focuses on the female audience, with her examples of shopping and clothing, but this is a book that males can easily get into as well. Sometimes Meyer's work doesn't appeal to me, but this one is a well-written book that is not too in-depth but not juvenile either.

Review
I am not a religious person, but I read religious things out of curiosity. However, my lack of belief does not impact my one-star review. The reason I one stared this book was purely due to chapter 7. Chapter 7 absolutely disgusted me, it seems so unbiblical. Chapter 7 made the entire point of this book get thrown out the window. This author says that American society is going downhill with people being less Christian and saying that Christians are persecuted. This author could not be more wrong. America is not Christian and never will be, America is a melting pot of many cultures and religions and that is to be respected. Just because people are "less Christian" doesn't mean society is worse. Society is now more accepting of others' differences whether that be of their beliefs/faith or culture. Society is meant to be diverse. And that doesn't make society more sensitive or worse by any means. The God you worship would likely be disgusted with you saying those words. This author mentions loving thy neighbor and that blurb in chapter 7 truly contradicts this author and this book entirely.

It seems so simple really...The power of Thank you? Yet, more often than not we find ourselves going through life without meaning and finding that to give you receive.
Why is it that it becomes so common to ignore the plight of others and raise a glass to ourselves?
When have we turned a blind eye for compassion, empathy, love of our fellow brothers and sisters in need?
What is behind the meaning of the mere words, "Thank you" and how can they save a lost soul or someone struggling with life's turmoils?
All this and more is behind this newest novel by Joyce Meyer.
You always will find me with some type of religious work in hand and Joyce and Joel are my two favorites for good reason.
They bring you back to your core being, who God intended us to be, and why God wants us to fulfill our lives at the exact time he has procured.
I enjoyed this reading but felt it could use more energy as it fell a little flat for me. It was short, sweet, and to the point but felt it needed some spice.

Gratitude is an important part of the Christian life. Joyce Meyer takes readers through Scripture passages on a path to being more grateful. God wants us to be thankful, yet sometimes gratefulness is hard. Joyce Meyer has a way of pointing her readers toward being thankful in spite of what they are facing.
As a person with a chronic illness I strive to focus on gratitude but some days it feels like a challenge to come up with one thing to be thankful for. I appreciated Joyce Meyer’s thoughts. I highlighted so many parts of this book - take-aways I want to remember.
The appendix of the book includes “30 Days of Thank You” - a list of 30 scripture passages to guide the reader's gratitude.
Joyce Meyer has a companion volume, My Thank You Journal. After a 1-page introduction, there are over 100 pages for journaling. Most of the pages have a quote or Scripture passage which can guide the journaling. My Thank You Journal would be a great addition to devotional time.
I received a complimentary copy of The Power of Thank You and My Thank You Journal. This is my honest review.

Let me tell you, this book will lovingly call you out and then hand you peace right after 😅

The Power of Thank You is one of those reads that feels simple on the surface but hits deep. Joyce reminds you that gratitude isn’t just polite, it’s powerful. The way she breaks down how thanksgiving shifts your mindset, your prayers, and even your attitude toward life is so practical and eye-opening.

One quote that really stuck with me was: “The thankful heart is a happy heart.”

And honestly… that’s the whole book right there. Joyce shows how complaining keeps us stuck, but gratitude opens the door to joy, peace, and trust in God especially when life isn’t going the way we planned. What I loved most is how real it is. This isn’t a “be positive and ignore your problems” kind of book. It’s a reminder that thanking God in the middle of it changes the atmosphere around you and within you.

And let’s be clear this book isn’t saying ignore your feelings or pretend life is perfect. It’s saying you can be honest and grateful at the same time. You can say “This is hard,” while still saying, “God, I thank You.” That balance is everything. Overall, it’s short, digestible, and the kind of book you’ll probably reread or highlight half of.

If you have read my blog for any length of time, you should know that thankfulness is important to me. I was glad to read this book focusing on thankfulness by Joyce Meyer. The Bible has a lot to tell us about being thankful. It can be life changing if you take the time to be truly thankful in life. As Joyce says in the book...."Why be grumpy when you can be grateful?" This book is a reminder of why thankfulness is important and how it can change your life.

The journal is a nice addition to the book for you to record your own thankfulness. I like that it has thankful quotes and verses at the top or bottom of each lined page. The journal is meant to be a reminder to you of God's provision, care, and blessing in your life.

I enjoy Joyce's writing style and recommend this book to you. Buy the book and journal together for a nice gift for yourself or a friend.

I received a copy of this book and journal from Hachette book group for my honest review. Thank you.

After being a Christian for 50 years, I grew in gratitude via reading this book. Thank you, Joyce Meyer for writing this and being led by God to do so. I know I'm not the only one who needed this. Since I've been going through the battles of doctors, injections, immense pain in my knees, I'll be headed for the orthopedic surgeon soon. Hallelujah. I was in a season of not seeming grateful and doing a bit of complaining. Now, I'm remembering to thank God for even the little things. I'm also complimenting/exhorting my husband. The more blessings I count, the more blessings I'm receiving. God is good.

“The Power of Thank You” by Joyce Meyer: I adored this book. Gratitude makes life better and honors God.
When you praise the Lord, you are simply saying, “Thank you” to God. I realized this foundational truth through reading this engaging book. Sometimes, in our conversations with our Creator, we forget to give thanks for all He’s given us, instead we grumble for what we don’t have.
The stories in the book were also inspiring and relatable. For instance, expressing gratitude to those who bless us can also create a positive God-given cycle.
Thanks so much for writing this 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ book! I highly recommend it.
