HE WAS POSSESSIVE, DOMINANT, AND GORGEOUS—A LETHAL COMBINATION FOR MY HEART.

Growing up in high society isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
So once a year, I take a three-week holiday with my best friend and leave it all behind—time away from the prying eyes and reprimanding words.

Things change when my eyes scan the hotel lobby and end up landing on former rugby player Wills Taylor.

His dominant personality was too much, but it still somehow pulled me in, and I ended up in his bed. I know his type, though. So, I make sure to leave before facing the dreaded ‘morning-after.’

Except, Wills has other plans for us. What was just supposed to be a fun trip with my best friend turns into me finding a man I fall for too fast and too hard.

Then when an argument between us spirals into me catching another woman trying to kiss him, I can’t do it. I bolt. And being alone in a foreign country has me finding out I’ve been hurt in ways I don’t know I’ll get over.

Three years later, he storms into my life again. This time, it’s either listen to the hard truth and deal with the baggage Wills and I both carry or walk away from what might be my only chance at a life I truly want.

I don't care what people say but over the top possessive alpha male is what i want to read all the freakin time😂😂😂 And this hero in this book is definitely that and I couldn't be more happier. Even in the first time they meet, the hero got so jealous when his friend was kissing the heroine in the cheek to be polite saying hello😏😏😏😏 I loved it!

There's a bit scenes that I don't like and I think it's unnecessary but okay. At least it's not too bad or too fcked up😂😂😂 I do enjoy reading this book despite it all.... For me is great but unfortunately because there are unnecessary childish scenes that I don't like at all, i give it 4 stars only and not 5. I wish I can give it 5 stars though.... I think the book will be more great with other fun stories added to it, and not the unnecessary scenes.. like it could be more better😂 Just saying though... But I like the book though😍😍😍

It's fun, emotional, drama many drama, SUPER ROMANTIC HERO THAT TREATS THE HEROINE SOOO FREAKIN GOOD ROMANTICALLY AND PHYSICALLY like he can over the top of spoiling the heroine even when she didn't ask him to, funny, mysterious, and little sad scenes.... It's well written, oftentimes it's too detailed and not straight to the point tho. So read this when you really have a free time in your day cause it's not a short story.

One day the heroine went on a vacation with long time best friend for her 30 birthday. She was also having a hard days before this vacation because of her parents not being very good to her since birth (not physically but emotionally and mentally) and also she just broke up with her ex boyfriend that cheated on her. So she was having a lot in her head... Her best friend was nice enough to make her happy and smile when they meet in the airport and start their vacation... And in the lobby, she saw the hero with his other friends that her best friend recognize... The hero immediately look at the heroine and was so into her, like he kept looking at her and can't stop himself... She likes him too but she hide it cause she thought she was being crazy about the hero looking at her. And when the heroine and her bestie went to their rooms, they decided to dress up and have a dinner together. They see the hero and his friends again at the restaurant in the hotel and that's when the story about this romantic love story begins... Because since the dinner, the hero don't want to leave the heroine alone and already make plans with her and won't take no for an answer❤️❤️❤️❤️

‼️‼️‼️TRIGGER: R*pe, robbed, deception, violence, alcohol, PTSD, hospital and death.

‼️‼️‼️NO CHEATING

‼️‼️‼️SAFE ROMANTIC VERY HOT LOVE STORY.

‼️‼️‼️HOT SMUT SCENES. Many smut scenes i lost count😏

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS 35 YEARS OLD AND THE HEROINE IS 29 YEARS OLD BUT GOING TO 30 YEARS OLD IN HER BIRTHDAY WHEN SHE MEET THE HERO...

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS OVER THE TOP POSSESSIVE PROTECTIVE MILLIONAIRE ALPHA MALE. YES OVER THE TOP.... The hero is not a manwhor3 though... He is sooo romantic to the heroine and he never felt that before with anyone else ever, the heroine is the first. And he goes all the way for the heroine, romantic stuff and emotionally mentally romantic to her...

The hero have angry issues though... Not too much though but enough for you to see that he have angry issues that he needs to control more especially to personal things. He said he's been through a lot but some heroes I read from other books, even though they have angry issues or angry to everyone else, to the heroine is usually special because the hero can't stay mad or be mad too crazy to the heroine. Like the heroine is his soft spot through anything else... BUT THIS HERO in this book is not like that though which is unfortunate. He is also a bit childish for his age of 35 years old, like when the heroine just doubt him a bit like normal doubts from a woman to a man that she just meet and start a new relationship with, he walks away after that and ignores her for couple of hours... And he can be self centered sometimes when there's a problem between the heroine and him, he sometimes thinks way too crazy that's so way out of proportion... BUT I'm glad despite all of that, the hero finally in the end learned his lesson and promise to grow and become a better person.

The hero also cried and cried again when he knows something about the heroine and when he knows he was wrong. He didn't cry too much though like a crybaby but he cried enough to show his emotions to the heroine that he truly loves her so much...

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS SOOO INSANELY OBSESSED WITH THE HEROINE.... IMMEDIATELY OBSESSED WITH HER WHEN HE FIRST TOUCH HER CHEEK OR TALK TO HER.

I LOST COUNT ON HOW MANY TIMES HE SAID TO HER “YOU ARE MINE. MINE. MINE.”

“you’re mine, in every sense. However I can get you. I want you all day, every day.”

“Sadie, you were mine then and mine now. But what that means is you were just always mine. Always my beautiful girl. And always will be, do you understand? No one will touch this body besides me ever again.”

The hero even said to his lawyer and others that he is seeing the heroine, and this is romantic cause they were just start seeing each other. They didn't say i love you yet or say this is serious. And He said this when he have to fly back home to england after the hotel with the heroine. Like it's new and he just goes on saying to others that he is definitely seeing someone and they are in a relationship 😍😍😍 cause some other guys will say single or not serious, but this hero immediately say he is not single anymore and he is seeing someone. Good for you hero.

‼️‼️‼️LOVE IN FIRST SIGHT.

“I've never had an attraction to a woman like this before, and I’m not sure if I love it or hate it.”

‼️‼️‼️MANY... MANY. MANY JEALOUS SCENES FROM THE HERO. And little from the heroine... I LOST COUNT ON HOW MANY TIMES HE GOT SO JEALOUS AND SUPER POSSESSIVE TOWARDS THE HEROINE... Not too many that you think this guy is not right but many enough for you to say he is definitely ott possessive.

““I’d kill someone before I let them get a look at what's mine.”

“Honestly I’m not sure what came over me, Sadie. I wanted to dance with you, and I couldn’t stand watching you with that guy for another minute,”

“Because you’re so fucking sexy, I bet half the guys here at the pool are hard. Which also makes me want to murder everyone.”

“Good, I like that you claim me as yours. Because I’ll fucking kill someone tonight if they look at you in any way.”

“Sadie, I told you at the pool. I don’t like my time with you being interrupted, and he was flirting with you.”

“Over my dead body is that fucking happening. I’ll kill him if he even looks at Sadie the wrong way.”

And so many more😂😂😂😂

Even after when he first see her again when they finally reunited after 3 years later, he became ott possessive once again and again even curious about her... is the heroine dating anyone else? Who is she dating? Why her workers at her store are a handsome male? 😆😆

‼️‼️‼️IT HAS SEPARATION FOR 3 YEARS. The heroine didn't see or have s3x with anyone else in that separation time, she told the hero about it and he was happy. Unfortunately, the hero don't tell the heroine if he was the same like her or he have s3x with someone else. Nope he didn't. Which is very stupid of him... I even have to wait for couple of times to see him admit he did or he didn't, but he never did say to the heroine... The heroine have a good reason on why she didn't go to anyone else ever in that separation time...

What i love when they finally reunited, the hero immediately say to the heroine that he doesn't want them to be friends or start as friends again because he knows now she's in the same town and country as him that he is willing to do everything to be with her again more like a boyfriend and future husband. Idk but for me that's cute and sweet though😆😆

‼️‼️‼️WHAT I DON'T LIKE ABOUT THE BOOK THAT MADE ME GIVE IT 4 STARS AND NOT 5:

1. THE HERO'S ex fck buddy kissed him just like one second and he immediately push her hard for her to get away. And this is after he already said to almost everybody that he is seeing someone and he already have s3x with the heroine and be so romantic with her. What I don't like about it, HE NEVER TELL THE HEROINE ABOUT THIS. I know it just one second but seriously you need to tell her. But no he didn't and it was annoying. When I read that the author didn't put that the hero telling the heroine about it, I was like seriously author??? You make us readers read that but you can't make your own character tell that? 😕 AND WHEN THAT WOMAN ALMOST KISS HIM, SHE PUT HER BODY CLOSE TO HIM AND HE SAID THIS TO HIMSELF ABOUT HER “NOT TONIGHT SWEETHEART”. Seriously hero??? Not tonight? Which made me think the hero will say the other night and not just tonight to her😂 But afterwards he did say to the woman he is seeing someone and he doesn't want her. But still, why you didn't tell the heroine and why you say not tonight sweetheart???! 😒😒😒

2. When the hero was having a big fight with the heroine like a misunderstanding, he went to a bar alone and all alone the entire time he was there. He was so drunk. And then He saw his ex fck buddy, just seeing him by far and she said just little annoying words. But what I don't like, is that he thought of that woman like this “I hate her, but shit, why does she have to be so hot?” 😒 I know he is drunk but that's so not right to think about... When at this time, the heroine is already his fiance and of course they already in a very serious committed relationship. They just have a big fight and the fight was not a big problem either. But you really have to think about it like that though? 😒😒🤢 And in the end we see that the hero also didn't tell to the heroine about meeting this woman again. It made me think that he always don't want to tell things to the heroine or be 100% honest with her with everything😂😂😂

‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE is a strong, kind and great woman. She is a bit weak though... I don't like it when the heroine didn't give the hero a hard time when he was definitely the wrong one. She's almost like a doormat heroine, ALMOST.... But other than that, she's great. Not too sassy though... What I also loved about her is that she didn't make a big problem about the hero being POSSESSIVE towards her, she just like goes along with it and okay with him. She didn't give him a difficult time for that.

‼️‼️‼️IT HAS PUSHING AWAY LIKE ONE TIME AND NEVER AGAIN.

‼️‼️‼️DRAMA WITH OW but not too annoying and not too much AND NO DRAMA WITH OM.

MOST OF THE DRAMA here is about themselves though😆😆

‼️‼️‼️THE CHEMISTRY Between them is romantic and loving. A great one.

‼️‼️‼️NO VIRGINS.

‼️‼️‼️LOCATION: Mostly in England, french, new york city.

‼️‼️‼️HAPPY ENDING. MARRIED AND HAVE 4 KIDS. STILL VERY MUCH IN LOVE...

👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽Thank you so much for reading my review❤️❤️ For you who loves my review and follow it, THANK YOU SO MUCH. I did not get paid or be told to do a review on a book. I’m here just to write review about a book so i can remember it. Its my honest opinion😚 I didn’t know at first people will find me and follow me and trust me to be honest, I was surprised myself to look at the notifications from people who reach out to me😆 So everything i write down here on a review is based on my personal opinion and based on my true writing. I DID NOT COPY SOMEONE’S REVIEW OR WRITING SKILL because at first when i was using this app for one year i didn’t know how to scroll down on a book and see the reviews from others😂😅🤣 I know, silly me but hey I finally learned my lesson 😛😛😛 Thats why when people assume i copy someone’s review i was like what? Because at first i didn’t know how to use this app properly and i didn’t know how to open someone’s review because for a year i never follow someone or add friends or someone😂😂😂🤣 (I’m laughing so hard) 🤪 AND I NEVER COPY SOMEONE’S REVIEW EVER. IF I WRITE SOMETHING WRONG OR DOESN’T MAKE SENSE PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND BE NICE OKAY. 👈🏽👈🏽👈🏽✋🏽✋🏽

I have a disclaimer down bellow if you have negative thoughts about my review😙😙😙

🌐🌐🌐➡️↘️⬇️➡️This is my own personal thoughts and opinion about the book so if thats not sit right with you or you feel I’m not being fair blablabla, please know that everybody in this world have their own different things that they like and don’t like. It may not be the same thing with you but thats okay because i am my own person and you cannot control me or tell me what to do. For example; i put ketchup (tomato sauce) on my fried chicken. You think that’s disgusting? For me its not and i’ve been eating it like that for many many years. You tell me to put another sauce and see if i like that better? I already did many many times in years but i still like the way i like it. It’s called differences between me and you and billions people in this world😊 be open minded😙 I respect people’s opinions about my opinions but in the end of the day if i say I don’t like it or i do like it, its up to me and its on me. And in the end of the day i always liked and show my respect to books and people’s opinions on books whenever that book is good or not good in my opinion 😊 Respect people’s opinions guys😙😙 I don’t want to write this down because its not really my thing to do it. To like address something like this when obviously i know the people who’s been reading my reviews many times and all the time, they are smart enough to understand and respect other people’s opinions no matter what their opinions on book or their point of view 😙😙 am i right? 💕 also there are people even though i already write “this book is different because i have my own taste of book” those people still comment my taste is this and that when HELLO… everybody have their own thoughts on books and what they want to read… why i read it then? I read it and give it a review because i have to read a book to give it a review… why not read the description book to understand before I’m going to read it? Hello just in case you haven’t notice, description books can be tricky because they write this amazing things about a book but turns out the story is so toxic. Maybe for me its toxic but not for you? YES HELLO THATS WHY US HUMAN BEING HAVE OUR DIFFERENCES, WHAT I LIKE IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU WILL LIKE IT AND EITHER WAY TOO. why i still write the review then if i just don’t like a book? Because I CAN and i want to, you cannot tell me what to do and not what to do🤪 if you still wants to be negative and be karens about my review on book after all of what i just write, i will never acknowledge you and simply ignore you because its not that hard🙏 I won’t respond to negativity comments🙏🏼🙏🏼 DON’T ASK ME AGAIN ABOUT WHY NOT RESPONDING TO YOUR NEGATIVE COMMENTS BECAUSE I ALREADY SAY IT HERE AND I WON’T BE EXPLAINING AGAIN BECAUSE WE’RE NOT CHILDREN SO ITS NOT HARD FOR YOU AN ADULT TO UNDERSTAND😌😌 YES MY REVIEW IS LONG BUT YOU READ IT ANYWAY AND ITS FINE ACTUALLY I CAN WRITE AS LONG AS I LIKE😎 YES MY GRAMMAR IS BAD SOMETIMES AND MAYBE ALL THE TIME BUT LUCKILY MANY PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT I’M SAYING🤪 ⬅️↖️↕️⬅️↩️⤴️

1. I think both Sadie and Annabelle needed to cut back on their alcohol consumption. 🙄
2. Wills was WAY too jealous and possessive.
3. I HATE the way Wills was always saying, "Use your words" to Sadie like she was a toddler. 🤬
4 Some poor kid accidently hit Charlie in the leg with a soccer ball in the park. Charlie overheard Wills threatening to kill the kid. Which of these two things would do Charlie the most damage???
5. Wills was a juvenile dick, having a temper tantrum and telling Sadie she was dead to him both times they had a misunderstanding. And, Sadie was a total doormat to take him back when he did.
6. As far as I'm concerned, Wills was borderline abusive. When he was "apologizing" to Sadie after his SECOND time walking out on her, he told her that he couldn't promise he wouldn't get "crazy mad" at her again since she loved to push his buttons. In other words, it was her fault for making him angry. That's exactly what an abusive partner would say.

You will love this…if you like men beyond disrespectful and two main characters who overreact at everything. Just when I thought he couldn’t get worse, he refers to the FMC as a lying bitch. This guy is a douchebag and a half. How this book has any five stars is beyond me 🤦🏻‍♀️

And ain't it funny. How you said you were friends? Now it sure as hell don't look like it
🎶

Growing up in high society isn’t as glamorous as it seems for Sadie (h). Each year, she eagerly escapes the pressures and expectations of her privileged life for a three-week holiday with her best friend. It’s her time to breathe, to be free from the prying eyes and reprimanding words that come with her status. This year, however, everything changes when she spots Wills Taylor (H), a former rugby player with a dominant charm that captivates her. Despite knowing his type all too well, Sadie finds herself irresistibly drawn to him, leading to a night spent in his bed. Determined to avoid the dreaded morning-after awkwardness, she slips away, convinced that’s the end of it.

─── ・ 。゚☆: THOUGHTS*.☽ .*:☆゚. ───

“What. The. Fuck. Sadie? What happened in the last hour that would give you that idea? I’ve been so good to you. Why would you even fucking say that?” He’s raising his voice now.

“Are you sure we aren’t on some holiday high, and that’s why this works? What happens when we get home to real life, and the high goes away?”

“Are you seriously asking me this right now? Are these words really coming out of that fucking mouth of yours? You know what, fuck this.” And he goes to walk off.

I’m honestly shocked that this book has an average rating of 3.78 because it’s quite terrible. I don’t mean to be harsh, but Wills comes off as toxic and possessive in a really emotionally abusive way. He treats Sadie like a doormat, and the verbal abuse he dishes out when she does something he doesn’t like is truly shocking. I was taken aback by some of the things he said to her, and it’s infuriating how easily she forgives him. It genuinely feels like an abusive relationship, and it’s frustrating to see him believe that insulting her and calling her names is acceptable behavior. I really can’t recommend this book; it feels like a waste of time to read about the male main character degrading the female lead over and over again, and not even in an interesting or smutty way. It's just disappointing.

“Enough with the fucking waterworks, Sadie!” He’s shouting again, which makes me cry more.

“You know what, I’m done with this shit. We were over three years ago. So why don’t you take a hint and stay the fuck away from me?”

Wills is completely disrespectful and oblivious to her feelings. He doesn’t deserve to be a father or have any part in the baby’s life after treating her like that. This isn’t love; it’s toxic and manipulative, and it’s honestly ridiculous to portray it as anything else. It’s frustrating to see such a harmful dynamic normalized in a story that could have been so much better. I really can't wrap my head around why anyone enjoys this book. It does such a terrible job of representing what love is supposed to be, especially when it comes to handling sensitive topics like pregnancies. The way the characters interact is just disgusting, and it perpetuates toxic ideas about relationships. It’s frustrating to see such a harmful portrayal that doesn't reflect the kindness and respect that should be the foundation of any loving partnership. Wills behavior is incredibly belittling. When he hurts her feelings and she reacts naturally by crying, instead of offering comfort, he just brushes it off and tells her to stop. That’s not just immature; it’s downright insensitive. It’s hard to believe anyone would want someone like that in their life. Relationships should be about support and understanding, not tearing each other down. It’s a toxic dynamic that no one deserves to be in.

“I looked like a fucking fool that I had the club manager looking for you, especially when he tells me you’re all fucking piss drunk, dancing like animals on the dance floor. Then when I get there, you’re passed out like a fucking teenager. And worst of all, you put yourself in danger. You will never act like that again. Do you understand me? You’re lucky if I even let you out of the house again,” he yells. His face is beet red from screaming. I’ve never seen him this mad.

“And,” he continues, “let’s hope you don’t end up all over the tabloids tomorrow. You’re a mum Sadie, start fucking acting like it.”

He’s the absolute worst—a degrading man who never shows respect or kindness. His behavior is beyond unacceptable, and it’s painful to witness. This kind of character shouldn't be romanticized; it’s a glaring example of toxic masculinity that really doesn’t belong in any love story. Instead of being a supportive partner, he belittles her and uses her vulnerabilities against her, which is not just disappointing but outright damaging. It’s disheartening to see this kind of toxicity presented as romance.

“I’m your fiancée!” she yells after me.

“Not anymore, sweetheart. You… Sadie Peters are once again dead to me.” Fuck you, Sadie.

“Don’t you dare call that lying sneaky bitch!” I slur.

Wills exploded with rage when he saw his daughter's name on the birth certificate, calling her a 'manipulative liar' who was just using him for his money. Seriously, what a charming guy! (Note the sarcasm, of course.) This is just one example of his many appalling qualities. I could write a full-fledged essay on how he embodies everything wrong with toxic masculinity—his lack of empathy, his need to belittle, and his complete disregard for her feelings. It's not just frustrating; it’s a glaring reminder of how not to treat someone you claim to care about. I can’t believe she forgave him time and time again. It was a cycle of abuse, where she constantly felt the need to apologize for upsetting him. Just because he never laid a hand on her doesn’t mean it wasn’t abuse. Emotional manipulation and verbal degradation can be just as damaging, if not more so. It’s heartbreaking to see her trapped in this toxic dynamic, constantly questioning her worth because of his words. This isn’t love; it’s a harmful cycle that she deserves to break free from.

─── ・ 。゚☆: OVERALL*.☽ .*:☆゚. ───

I genuinely hope the aftermath of this book leads to a divorce and a clean break. No co-parenting with someone who exhibits such toxic behavior. Sadie deserves to reclaim her life and find peace away from his manipulation. A fresh start without the burden of constantly navigating his emotional abuse would be the best outcome for her. She needs space to heal and grow, free from the shadows of a relationship that was never built on respect or love.

WE NEED A MINUTE TO TALK ABOUT THIS BOOK.

First off this was a debut book. But that's not entirely what needs to be discussed. We have these characters Wills and Sadie. Wills, well he came from everyones dreams. He was dominant, sexy, controlling (in a good way), possessive, and just all in all the best. Was he arrogant? hell ya but he had the cutest romantic side of him, which was lovely to see. But can we go back to how and hot and dirty he was? No, okay I will continue with this review. Sadie was this cute little shy introvert character. The complete opposite of Wills. Yet once you get close to her (Mostly Wills) you can she has some sass to her and is a confident lady. She literally has the best development in the second half of the book. She grows as a character and also becomes a business owner as well as a mother.

If you don't like insta love then you might not enjoy this buttttt I would still give Sadie and Wills a shot. It's a unique and intense story and you can just feel their chemistry as you read. It's filled with friendship, love and soul mates, steam and emotion, heartbreak and repair. It’s one of those reads you cannot put down. Just stop reading this and go buy the dang book.

I have to admit, the book was really difficult for me to read. It's because there are some things that I usually avoid, certain topics that I struggle with when It comes to reading romance books. Things that I get over quite difficult and it makes me cry most of the times. I am sorry, but that book got to me and It was just too much for me.

Considering all of that, I am still really grateful to J. R. Gale and Grey's Promotions for giving me the ARC copy.

TW: Rape, PTSD

This book made me feel things and not good ones sadly. The hero i hated so much he came off as too strong and extremely possessive especially in the beginning he didn't even want anyone to touch Sadie the herione, and she constantly came off as Out of character i didn't like her either this was filled with a lot of randomness that made me bored. I ended up skim reading 3/4 of this book. It had potential second chance romance, it was insta love but the execution didn't work out.

This man is one of the reasons why I prefer brunettes over blonde men. When someone tells me that I'm dead to them, not once but twice, I ain't going back to that person.

Overview:

Sadie’s trip to France to celebrate her 30th birthday with her sister soulmate, Annabelle, didn’t go exactly as planned when she bumped into Wills Taylor at the bar with his friends. It was love at first sight— he became hooked to her, wanting to know more about Sadie. After an understanding that happened three weeks after they met, Wills assumed Sadie left him and swore to hate her when she was instead attacked and admitted to the hospital. Three years later, Sadie moves to London, now with a daughter in her life. Sadie and Wills reunite at a bar Sadie’s brother was co-owning, next to his business partner whom she did not know was Wills.

Review:

The tropes in this book are my favourites ever. Second chance, accidental pregnancy, angst, grovelling, however, I did not enjoy it because of the instalove and the cringe I felt reading about the characters. The potential was there, but I found myself not enjoying it because of how it was written.

I hate instalove, so that’s probably one of the reasons why I gave this book such a low rating. There was no build-up, it was straight to sex with these characters. And even when I do enjoy the spice, I still need to feel the chemistry which to me is what they lack. The drama towards the end of the book, 90% in the book to be precise, felt unnecessary to me and dragged the whole book longer. It was just another drama to fill in which I felt was completely useless and doesn’t add anything to the plot.

I love the domestic scenes in this book, especially scenes of them as a family. That I enjoyed reading about as they were so cute. The spice was top-tier, the friendships were chef’s kiss, and the family-love between Wills’ family was so cute.

Overall, this book was okay for me. Didn’t love it nor do I hate it too much too. But felt like it could’ve been better.

This book was cute and cringey at first and then it quickly became sickening. Both of the mcs are overreactors make everything bigger than what it is and homeboy was sassier than me bro he was so sasssy he was weird and lowkey acted like the world revolves around him he was a walking ick and honestly it would’ve been okay if he had his own personality but he didn’t the author have him all these qualities from other book men we love and adore and he ruined it it didn’t feel like his personality was his he was just an ick all over the place and made me cringe from beginning to end and on the other hand Sadie don’t even get me started home girl is more delusional than me and she’s wayyyyyyy to forgiving if it was me I would have never forgave him after everything he supposedly put her through. I’m halfway through at like 59 percent of the book but I can tell u it feels like the book is over I don’t have the will to read anymore. If u see this in my recently read no u didn’t. Every single five star review under this book feels fake and paid for because clearly they and I have not read the same book. Spare urself the cringe and keep it pushing I rlly wish I hadn’t read this. I was soooooo excited for the book to and the disappointment 😭😭😭😭 yeah no. I can do without

Well. Bloody hell. What a book! I absolutely loved it.
Wills is everything, growly, alpha, possessive and vulnerable.
Sadie is simply amazing, loving, caring and never truly felt deserving. Seeing their vulnerable moments was beautiful.
I was snotting and sobbing all over the place at certain parts of this book, both sad and happy tears. And a few gasp moments.
All love and stars for you J.
I can't wait to read more by you!

The plot of this book sounded amazing and that's why I bought the book. I love instant love and drama-filled books. They draw me in and hook me from the start.
My issue with the book was the writing of the plot and storyline.

30-year-old Sadie acts like a child in love with her first boyfriend. Wills Taylor would be the perfect man if he wasn't overbearing and just too much. Sadie can't even spend time with her best friend without him being a whiny little boy because he doesn't have her entire attention. Gag me with a spoon. Their instant love was annoying because they acted like children. She couldn't even hug his BEST FRIEND without him growling and yanking her away. Like dude, that's your friend. He's rooting for you. He would NEVER cross that line.

Now three years later, they're back together. The only one who had any common sense of the entire connection/relationship was Jackson, Sadie's brother. Because this man LEFT you without hearing you out about what happened and you just said "Okay, let's move on. We'll pick up where we left off" AFTER HE SCREAMED AT YOU IN AN ALLEY. No, thanks.

Then you get to about 89-90% and again, Wills again acts like a child and screams at her. Telling her she's just like other women, only going after him for money and whatever else. I don't even remember, because I was just so over the book by this point.
A week later, Sadie still wants him back. She wants him back. He stays away to "fix himself". Eye roll. He won't change. He has a quick temper and says things he apparently doesn't mean but he shouldn't have said them to begin with. But whatever. Finally, a week later, he comes back with his "I'm so sorry, I let my insecurities get the better of me. I shouldn't have said what I said." It would have been an amazing speech if he didn't say it before. After calling her a shit mom, because she got drunk at the bar. Which was the only time I was on his side. After what happened to her, you'd think she was smart enough to not make the same damn mistake. No, it wasn't her fault but still.

When the book was finally finished, there was a sigh of relief. Because finally, the unnecessary drama and childlike behavior was over. I don't DNF books, but I came close about 50%.

Now I gave it 2 stars because the spice level was fan your face and omg hot. When Wills keeps his mouth shut, he's hot.

★London Lovers Review★
The debut novels that I have had the chance to read lately have literally slayed. I am a self proclaimed hoe for the Billionaire Alpha/Contemporary Genre and this book felt like it was written for me!
@jrgaleauthor takes what we all love about Alphas and truly writes a spectacular version of what we
know and love in these types of characters. We meet Wills, a retired Rugby player and Sadie, an introvert with big dreams to get away from her toxic family while they are both vacationing separately in France with their friends. It is an insta-connection and the chemistry between the two is felt off of the page. While in France the two make the most of their time together before they each have to travel back to their respective countries. Wills being from London and Sadie being from New York causes some questions to arise about what their future could potentially hold. Wills is a self-proclaimed bachelor for life and never thought he would have to make these types of decisions, but with Sadie it all seems so different. Events happen that give these two a lot to think about and makes them work that much harder for a happily ever after.

Wills and Sadie are two wonderfully written characters and play so well off of each other. Some of the banter is such a levity to darker occurrences that happen. There is a lightness to these two even though they are both very strong characters. Sadie wasn't always so strong so it is
meaningful to watch her transformation throughout the story. Wills is our typical alpha and while his possessiveness may seem a lot it is perfect for these two.

London Lovers will be part of a character series and the side characters in this novel do not
disappoint. You will be able to find at least one who you can relate to.
I have said it many times to those who will listen, but I feel like this book was literally written for me. The bedroom talk is next level and Wills is everything that you will want in a book boyfriend for sure. The spice level is perfect for this book and the amount is also done so well where you feel like you are reading a story with these smutty moments that just make it that much better!

Give credit where credit is due … this debut novel completely blew me away, the story the characters, the side characters the world it’s set in, the tropes - all are everything i love, everything exactly i love on a book!

Let’s start with Wills…. oh this man! Dominating, possessive and intense! Arrogant yet loving and romantic, sizzling hot and dirty talking he is everything i love in an alpha!
don’t get me wrong at times he infuriated me but most he just left me with butterflies.

Sadie- The change in her was heart warming. To begin she’s a little shy and reserved but her confidence and sass grows when she’s with Wills. the second half she changes again due to circumstances and again to see her as a mother and become a successful business owner she is someone to leave you in awe of.

i’m not usually a fan of insta love, but Sadie and Wills are just something else. it’s unique and intense and just felt so real! Their chemistry is off the charts, their passion is pure flames!

The story is filled with friendship, love and soul mates, steam and emotion, heartbreak and repair.

Going in blind is my recommendation though, because what happens is unexpected. It’s one of those reads you cannot put down. totally engrossed in the whole world it’s set it. the need to know more of all characters and not just Sadie and Wills.
It feels so much more than a story, it’s a whole world of depth and one i feel i could read over again and again!

London Lovers started out really strong for me. I adore Sadie and Belle and the friendship they have that carried through the book. I love all of the travel that occurs. I love the romantic gestures, and I loooved the spicy scenes.

The main reason that I am giving 3 stars is that I felt like the book was probably about 150 pages too long. Not in a way that means it wasn’t written well, because it was, but just in a way that felt like there were scenes that were unnecessarily long or maybe didn’t even have to happen at all. I found myself struggling to continue at some points because it would start to feel “slow”.

I really don’t typically go for the insta-love trope because I am much more of a slow burn/enemies-to-lovers girl, but this was a cute and steamy book that I really did enjoy a lot.

I do want to point out that you definitely want to check some trigger warnings for this book because it deals with a few really heavy topics. You can find those triggers in some of the reviews that contain spoilers.

Overall, I really liked this book! Not a favorite, but still a great story of love and forgiveness and healing.

There is a lot of “Insta” in this book. Everything happens at the speed of light. A book this length deserves better world building and better character development. Unfortunately, I did not feel the raw physical or emotional connection between the MMC and FMC. At 60% into the book, I realized that there hadn’t yet been a single meaningful conversation between the leading couple That would make me believe that they are anything more than in lust. Just because a man always has to have his hand on you does not always translate outside of just words on a piece of paper. Something else that bothers me is when authors (or anyone, really) use cliches to describe something or in this case, how a character is feeling… ugh. Cliches are incredibly lazy, and there were too many in this book.

I plan to complete the series. I’m intrigued enough to see how Declan’s love for physical books plays out in book two. I’m going to say that it’s probably meant to signify that he has emotional depth. How original. We will see. We will see…

2,5/5* I have mixed feelings about this book, the start was good and promised a good story : not very original, insta love, insta attraction, but well written.
And I'm a sucker for a good love story, and even better if it includes a alpha dominant, possessive man and steamy hot scenes.
However, both characaters acted very immature all along and a bit childish at time. Sadie with being often drunk, I don't have anything against alcohol but drinking for drinking, not very classy for a woman, and leaded her to act poorly. All along they both jumped easily to conclusions when they could have talked about it.
Anyway, 3 years later when they are reacquainted again and their feelings and chemistry resurfaced, we hope for a HEA and we have one, not without uncesserary drama !
It's a new author, so I'm being lenient, and a new author deserves praises and encouragement because it takes a lot of courage to publish.
Maybe Declan's story will be better.

First of all, ew. I hated the main love interest. He was low key abusive and she shouldn’t have taken him back the first time let alone the second. The plot was going somewhere, but honestly all of the characters gave me the ick. Middle of the book we think the baby isn’t his, and he doesn’t know it’s his either. But Sadie literally never put her foot down. The constantly saying yes to charlotte pissed me off. Annabelle was upset that sadie didn’t tell her about the fight between her and wills but how can you be upset when you didn’t tell her about your own terrible relationship? It also doesn’t make sense that wills is the dad, i truly believed he was never the dad or he didn’t use a condom in paris on purpose to make her pregnant. The whole book overall was not great.

Hard bloody work

I honestly have no idea how this book has received anything above two stars. I had to literally force myself to finish this and at the end I’m not really sure why I bothered.

I’m not even sure where to start. I think the worst part about this book is the severe over use of pet names, it did my bloody head in. Not one conversation between two characters that’s didn’t include baby, baby girl, babe, sweetheart, darling, beautiful girl, or sweat pea. Put me off from the start.

The two main characters just pissed me off time and time again. FMC is so whiny and over emotional, constantly crying. The MMC is over bearing and Alpha, which is usually something I can get behind, but Wills was dreadful.

Overall don’t waste your time.

Honestly Wills was more of a psychological abuser more than a “ possessive alpha-man” to me he was quick tempered and obsessively jealous to the point where he was hating on his best friend …..
Sadie was a doormat who laughed off the jealously and thought he was hot …
Insta-love but overbearing and controlling from the beginning.

They used r*pe as trauma and if done well then it’s an emotional read, however this one was not done well. It was used as a way to create miscommunication between the 2 mains and then skipped over. Only to be brought up again when Wills or another male was feeling guilty.

I won’t be reading the second one that’s for sure.

Usually I can finish a book this length in a day but this was so cringe I just had to keep putting it down and taking a break from it. What really annoys me is American authors basing their books in the UK and use the “UK” words but not in the right way, really annoys me that does and then it doesn’t make any sense because that’s not how we would use it.
I rated it 1 star because it was so cringy for no reason. He looked at her for one second and was like “I’ll kill anyone who touches her” like jeez calm down you haven’t even spoken to her.
He was too possessive for no reason and o love a mmc who is possessive but this was overkill.

I cannot finish this book. Only made it is like 50% and then I gave up. Instalove isn’t my favorite but I don’t mind it when it’s done right. This book had potential. But unfortunately where I draw the line is when the FMC just jumps right back into the relationship as if nothing happened. I’m sorry but if went through what she went through and the guy I was “soulmates” just up and dropped me, I would need so much from him to entertain the idea of a relationship again. He does nothing and yet she forgives him and instantly they are together again. Sorry but no.

I’ve never been so mad towards a MMC 😭 like he’s a walking red flag? I know he spoils FMC but the way the MMC shouted at her? My god! His anger and trust issues?! Also, the way FMC easily gives in every time that dude apologizes?! Fucking hell. Plus the rollercoaster of emotions that came in this book?

Also, I hope there was a TW at the beginning of the book. Ugh

Got incredibly bored around the 45% mark almost dnf but pushed myself through hoping it would get better since single mom romances are my favourite. The plot would have been great if the writing style wasn’t so juvenile that may sound really harsh to say but it’s not as good as I hoped it would be and made it a very difficult read

It started well but just didn’t have any meat to a good story. I’m actually surprised I finished it. I would waste your time. Characters were okay. Sadie was well written and got a good background on her but the guy kind of seemed like a meat head generally. Happy ending though.
