Fun account of the Cultural Revolution from teachers at the First Foreign Languages Institute in Beijing. Limited in scope to mostly the student movement and detailed only in the Beijing factions, with commentary on world events, Chinese foreign policy, and Chinese politics of the time. Some really nice passages that help to get a sense of what it was like to live through the constantly shifting political trends of the time.
