I need this book, you need this book... All the mamas everywhere NEED THIS BOOK!

There are so many things about parenting they didn't tell us in the "What to Expect" books, like what to do when the little person you are raising challenges everything you do and say! In The Strong-Willed Mama, Tami Overhauser shares lessons learned in the trenches of raising a strong-willed child. You will find yourself laughing (and possibly crying) as she brings you along on her oh-so-relatable parenting journey, and it will feel like you are listening to a very wise friend.

It is hard to find the balance between shaping a child's character and not crushing their spirit, but Tami helps us do just that. She continually reminds us of our overall purpose, while directing our hearts to the One who gives us everything we need to accomplish it. She doesn't make light of the struggles we face; if anything, she validates them. Parenting is not for the faint of heart! But she encourages us that the struggle is worth it, and gives us the hope we need to keep pressing on.

As a mother of four, I learned most of these lessons along the way; how I wish I had had these words to guide me!

Having 3 strong-willed children of my own, “A Strong-Willed Mama” was a must read for me. Tami shares her own parenting frustrations she faced over the years. After reading the first few pages, I felt like she was writing about my family. I could relate to so many, if not all, of her parenting struggles. Her wit, wisdom, and encouraging words/tips made me realize I am not alone! “A Strong-Willed Mama” is a must read! Get it on Amazon!

The Strong-Willed Mama is a must-read for all mothers! The author is authentic, relatable and encouraging. She shares stories and struggles from her own parenting journey that remind you that you are not alone and you are capable of and created specifically for, raising the children you have been given. She writes about her struggles as a Mom with humor that will have you laughing out loud! I appreciated her challenge to spend time with each of child and embrace who they are and how they have been created. When I finished the book I felt empowered and challenged (in a very good way!) as a Mom and I highly recommend this book!

Love this book! I was privileged to read an advanced copy of and it was refreshing and comforting to hear Tami’s stories as if we were having a conversation. She writes with honesty, encouragement, pragmatic truth and unwavering faith. As a mama of 2 rascally boys, the struggle is REAL, and my toddler in particular can be especially strong-willed and stressful. I love the advice that she gives and the reminders to give yourself grace as parents and pick your battles. There is hope for the future that this too shall pass and we will survive together! And so will our strong-willed children. I highly recommend this fun and uplifting read!

Children will test the limits of many a mother. We don’t get to choose the children’s personalities. So we need to learn how to parent the needs of each child.
Tami is the big sister that many a mother needs. Willing to share the good and the hard to help you parent the child you have rather than the child you wish.
Strong willed children need mothers to be understanding and strong willed themselves, willing to stand up for truth. Let Tami be your cheerleader as you read her story and gain hope for the future that you are raising.

I am so grateful Tami wrote this book. Her stories and insights made me feel seen and not alone in parenting my very strong-willed son. Quite a few times I found myself laughing out loud and thinking, "I'm actually not the only one!" I also appreciated her supportive reminders we do not walk this road alone, because God is with us to offer us his strength. And there is grace enough to go around on even the hardest of days. I loved this book and I 100% recommend it to other moms as well.

As a mother of 2 string willed children I felt like Tami was writing the book just for me. I cried through the whole introduction (a sign of a good book in my mind) as I could relate so much to what she wrote. Her wisdom on how to "survive and thrive" are so timely, simple and do-able the book left me encouraged and ready to take on the day of parenting my children.

This was the first parenting book I’ve read where I felt like someone *actually* had a strong willed child. There were a few thoughts and ideas I hope to implement into our family. I wish there would have been some indication before starting the book about the strong religious themes that would be throughout.

If you’re looking for step by step instructions on what the heck to do with your wrecking ball of a child, this book is not that.

But if you’re looking for encouragement in both your parenting and faith journeys, and some occasional good-humored commiserating, this was a lovely read.

This book helped me more than I could know. Tami is so relatable. At times it felt as though I myself, was writing this book. One of the few books I’ll actually go back a reread.

This fun, honest, and oh so relatable book of a mama sharing her journey of parenting had me laughing, crying and yelling, “Yes! Yes! Yes!” as I was reading. I began highlighting sections that resonated with me and quickly realized that I was highlighting the whole book! Tami’s real life experiences, combined with her a deep faith sends messages of love, joy, peace, forgiveness, gratitude and hope for all parents.
