Massimo and Henley
This is the third book in the second-generation Diamondbacks MC series and it was a great addition. Henley is Ruger and Sadie’s daughter and she has had a life changing event that brought her back home and rethinking what her future now entails. It was during one of her trips to the hospital that she meets a little boy named Dante who just lost his mom. Dante’s uncle, Massimo, also noticed Henley and wanted to get to know Henley.
Once Henley’s family finds out the connection that Massimo has to her sister-in-law’s kidnapping her family steps in. How will they get past this and how will this affect little Dante? This was a book that I read in one sitting and I loved how this book was about overcoming the unimaginable.

Wow! I real page turner filled with emotion that will bring you to tears. Henley and Massimo have similar family backgrounds. Which only adds to the intensity of this story. Massimo and Henley are perfect for one another and once all their secrets come to light, things move at lightning speed. Their chemistry leaps off the page and their loving nature shines through with Dante. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I hadn't read previous installments in this series but I think these were also stand alone stories where previous characters were named. Sailor's story triggers me to want to read that book.
This story revolves around Henley and Massimo.
Henley lives in New York and is diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She goes back to Texas, with her parents for treatment. After surgery and months of chemo, she has a checkup and there she meets Dante. The 8-year-old boy seeks her support and comfort after losing his mother. Massimo, his uncle, watches their interaction from a distance and when he wants to thank her she is gone. As a mafia leader, he has the means to uncover her identity and from then on he is ruthless in his approach to getting Henley to have dinner with him. When Henley finally gives in, she doesn't realize the problems this causes. Massimo and her family (Diamondback MC) already know each other and not in a good way!
What does this mean for the blossoming love between Henley and Massimo? Will she choose him over her family?
A good story. Henley's feelings after her surgery and chemo so beautifully described. The depression, dealing with hair loss, her changed view of the world, adjusting dreams, never being able to bear a child and the feeling of not being worthy to be loved, so realistic.
Massimo, a hardened mafia leader who is charmed by her and used to getting what he wants and will fight for it. Not a macho man but sometimes very sensitive, especially in contact with his nephew Dante.
However, the chemistry between Henley and Massimo just didn't sink in for me. The encounters between the two seem too quick and their emotions in their interactions not (sufficiently?) described.
Overall 3.5 stars.

OMG!!! WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.
Massimo and Henley met through his nephew who's mother was taken suddenly. Massimo has custody of his nephew, Dante, his sister passed away suddenly and gave him custody of her son. Massimo is the boss of the Italian mob in Texas. When Massimo's nephew losses his mother he seeks out Henley who comforts him in her time of need. Henley is at the hospital battling cancer, getting treatments. When Massimo tells some of his men he wants to met Henley to thank her for comforting his nephew, one of his men take Henley's brother Jackson's Seductive girlfriend Sailor. Massimo gets Henley's phone number and calls her, but she doesn't answer. Henley thinks that Massimo just lost his wife and doesn't want to deal with the heartache he'll be going through. Henley is trying to move out of her parents home, she lived in New York City, she didn't want the club life. Henley came back home to Ely Texas so that her family could help her out. Now Henley is looking for an apartment, she runs into Sailor at her apartment complex. After Henley tells her parents Ruger and Sadie Bare she'll be moving out soon, they're okay with it, then she tells them she needs to find a reliable car, Ruger goes with her to help her out. Massimo makes another attempt to call Henley this time she tells him she doesn't want to get messed up with him after losing his wife. Massimo tells Henley it was his sister he lost and he has custody of his nephew who she comforted. Massimo's father is the one who takes care of the man who kidnapped Sailor thinking she was Henley. Six weeks later, Massimo calls Henley once again this time she tells him maybe if he'd asks her to dinner she would accept. When Massimo asks her to dinner she does accept, and then he picks her up the next night and takes her to one of his Italian restaurants. Henley is shocked when he picks her up she knew he had money but not his much money. When Massimo asks Henley to go out with him again the next night, she tells him he has plans with his nephew, Dante and she has plans with her parents. Massimo kisses Henley and tells her he wants more with her then he pleasures her. When Massimo goes to leave Henley's apartment complex he runs into Sailor, she asks him if she knows him. Massimo tries to duck his head then tells her no they've never met. Massimo was the one to drop Sailor off at the hospital. While Henley and her mom, Sadie are planning Sailor's baby shower, she comes over to tell them she remembers something about the day she was kidnapped. So Henley calls Jackson and Sadie calls Ruger to met them at the clubhouse. After they arrive at the clubhouse and Sailor tells them what she remembers, they go through the video feed of her getting dropped off at the hospital. Sailor tells Shovel Wild, Razor Dirty and Ruger Bare that she recognized the man who dropped her off she seen him. When Henley asks to watch the video her mom doesn't want her to but Shovel agrees for her to. They find video of Henley making out with Massimo when he dropped her off after their date. Massimo comes knocking on Henley's door a few days later. Henley tells Massimo to forget about her she knows he kidnapped her brother's girlfriend. Henley tells Massimo the only reason they haven't come after him is because she begged for his life because of Dante. Massimo promises Henley he'll make this right for her and everyone. Massimo tells Henley they've both been keeping secrets, but she tells him it's her secret to tell. Massimo get everything he needs and calls Shovel to met with them. He takes the documents he needs and proof that his man who kidnapped Sailor is no longer. Massimo give them documents to the Mexican Cartel to get free transport back and cross the border. Shovel tells him that they'll need a vote on this, but Massimo tells him not to mess up his face, he won't be able to explain that to his nephew. Ruger tells Massimo that he doesn't know if his daughter will ever forgive him, she's been through more in her life then anyone ever should. Ruger tells him she doesn't need someone who will run away from her life, and if he does he coming for him. Four days later, Ruger comes to visit Henley in her apartment. Ruger tells Henley he tells her there's nothing she did wrong. Ruger tells her he know she feels betrayed, she can't carry the weight of the world on her shoulders. Ruger tells her that Massimo did wrong but now he's paid for what he did and he needs her. Henley asks Ruger what they did, and he tells her that Dante is fine but Massimo may not be. So Henley goes to see Massimo, but she makes sure her family is alright with it and they are. When she's sitting in her vehicle Massimo comes knocking on her window. Henley asks him if he okay, he tells her he's been laying low lately. Massimo wanted to give her time, when Henley gets out of her vehicle she notices he's limping. She asks him what they did to him, he tells her what he deserved. Massimo tells her what happened the night that Sailor was kidnapped. He tells her to think about his business like the club, the less she knows the better. Henley tells him she can't have kids, ever, then she explains her cancer and why she was at the hospital when she met Dante. Henley tells him she comes with a lot and Massimo tells her he does too. When Dante comes home from school they all decide to make cannoli's together and order a pizza. Then Dante asks that Henley stay and watch a movie with him, she falls asleep just as it begins. Massimo carried Henley to his bed after the movie was over, now she's cuddled up next to him. When Henley tries to leave Massimo tells her he spoke to Dante earlier this morning about them. After they begin kissing Henley romoves Massimo's shirt and sees all the bruises all over his body, she can't believe her family did this to him. Massimo assures her he's fine, and he'd do it again if it meant waking up with her next to him. Henley asks him if it's over between the families but he tells her he can't do that. What he can promise her it that both families are on the same side. Massimo tells hr he's about to have her. Massimo pleasures Henley, she pleasures him then they make love. Three months later, Massimo and Henley are married. Henley goes to the doctor and gets the all clear, she just needs to be checked every three months, Massimo is by her side. All of them have formed a bond, family barbecues every Sunday. Henley tells him she love him, more and more each day, Massimo tell her he loves her too. Six months later, Massimo and Henley have a talk to Dante they want to start the process of adoption. Henley can't have kids because of her cancer plus she doesn't want to pass that gene down. Two years later, they adopted Angelina, and a baby boy, Gio, short for Giovanni. Massimo has been teaching Italian to their children and along the way Henley is learning it also. Angelina and Gio are siblings, both have the same mother. Massimo is working on helping out Silas Protective, one of Henley's cousins from Louisiana, who's facing jail time. Massimo may have to go to Louisiana to help out but he'll always come back home to Henley.

This is one of my absolute favorite stories from Tory Baker. She has written a raw and emotional story that gutted me, broke my heart, and yet gave me hope that love truly can heal.
Henley had a wonderful life. A successful career and a supportive family. But one life changing event caused her life to come tumbling down. She felt defeat from every angle. But a bit of hope found her in the innocence of a child in need.
Massimo saw the compassion Henley had for his family, total strangers. But something about her just seeped into his bitter and broody soul. He needed this woman in his life. But once she puts the puzzle pieces together, he realizes Henley may not be able to accept him for the man he is.
Baker wrote a story about a heroine that most readers could relate to. She dug deep to pull out emotions and feelings that were accurate. This is a must read.

We knew from Jackson's book that his sister, Henley was going through some seriously rough health issues. Now we get her story and find out what's going on. Henley's in the fight of her life battling cancer and trying keep it all together. Massimo has been drawn to Henley since watching her give Dante, his nephew, so much compassion and understanding on one of the worst days of his young life.
My heart broke for everything Henley is struggling with and everything that has been taken from her because of cancer. Luckily for Henley, Massimo isn't deterred by her rejections. I enjoyed how their relationship grew slowly and Massimo just loved on Henley and accepted her "whole smorgasbord of baggage." I really love how protective Ruger was and the discussion he had with Massimo 😍
Love the second generation and cannot wait for Crush's book!

Henley left Texas and had a good job and a nice apartment in New York. She thought of the Diamondback MC members as family, she wanted something different. When pain suddenly becomes something real serious, hopes and dreams are obliterated. She makes the decision to go back to Texas to recover. She met Dante in a waiting room, when the little boy had just lost his mother. Thinking Massimo Russo just lost his wife, she pushes him away until she gives up trying.
Massimo knows he has to find a way to repair the damage Lorenzo did when he kidnapped one of Diamondback’s girlfriend. Can he do it before Henley finds out his guy kidnapped her brother’s girl friend?
Massimo is just what Henley needs after what she has been thru, he is willing to put her first before his business.

An unexpected encounter can change your life. This is a dynamite read! The main characters jump off the pages and start filling you up with their personality, charisma, compassion and caring. You can feel the sexy, sassy, lusty passion of Henley and Massimo. The characters just click - they had the “it” factor. You feel their energy, their attraction and their magnetic chemistry. Is it instant attraction? The smoldering looks, the flirting and the hot touches. What happens when they find out they are with rival MC’s? It’s filled with sizzle, steam, passion and sexy smoking hot chemistry! It’s a great storyline with bold and gusty characters who have complications - it’s not smooth sailing. Just an amazing and entertaining story. Fantastic read!.

I’ve been curious about Henley’s story since the last book when Sailor was kidnapped instead of Henley. I was wondering what the story was behind the man looking for Henley. It was not the story I expected but I absolutely loved it! In fact I loved the direction it took more than what my imagination was coming up with. I also liked the added dynamic of an Italian mob boss tangling with the MC.
This story had unique twists and turns that worked beautifully for this couple. They each have their own issues that they are dealing with. Henley just takes longer to realize that together they can conquer more. Massimo wasn’t going to give up on her. It’s a good thing he didn’t too because these two were designed for each other. This was a terrific blend of MC and mafia romances and I would definitely recommend reading it.

Having read the first series of Diamondback MC books, catching up with the next generation is awesome, and Addictive gives us Henley's story. Coming off a horrible year that has completely changed her life - battling ovarian cancer successfully - Henley is back in Texas after years living in New York City. After a chance meeting at the hospital with Massimo Russo, he has been trying to get her attention ever since. With competing interests, Massimo's family business and the MC are not on the best of terms but that doesn't stop him from being swoon-worthy in his pursuit of the beautiful Henley. Can these two find a way forward? A steamy, sexy, and swoon-y second generation instalove romance that is a must-read!

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. I have enjoyed getting to know the next gen of the Diamondback MC family. This book in the series will take you on a ride of emotions. Henley meets Dante and Massimo at the hospital under horrible circumstances. They feel that connection and it surprises both of them. Henley knows that her life is going to change again because of him. Massimo isn't sure that he could ever let her go. Things get complicated fast for them. There is plenty of heartache, loss, struggles, determination, strength, conflict, compassion, family, passion and love. I really enjoy their story. The characters were really well written.

Tory Baker has a knack for the novella
There are some authors that thrive in the novella, and Tory Baker is one of those authors. This one took a little bit of a turn though. It deals with some emotionally stressful moments for Henley, and the direction that her life has taken. But even with this, Baker treats her with care and grace. Massimo is a guy that you aren’t sure you are going to like because of the path that his life has taken. However, like all of Bakers heroes, once he meets his true one, he is all in and one for. I really enjoy this style of writing because sometimes I just needs something quick but still gives me everything I want in a full length novel.

This was a fantastic MC romance. After reading Seductive I was really curious to find out more about Henley and Massimo and their story really blew me away. It was not at all what I expected but so much better.
Their chance encounter at the hospital really changed both their lives but also the lives of others and I loved it. Massimo was a real alpha who knew what he wanted and went for it. His chemistry with Henley was sizzling and I loved the slow burn nature of story. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

I loved this book and can not get enough of this series.
Henley has gone through a tough battle but she is a fighter and won't give up. When you feel all is lost there s always something bright at the end of the rainbow. I do want to say Henley is one of my favorite characters in this series.
Massimo never expected to meet someone as wonderful as Henley, right from her first interaction with his nephew Dante he knew he will do everything in his power to win her love.
This story was really great and I absolutely loved Henley, Massimo, and Dante. I can not wait to read the next book in this series.

Hennessy met Massimo when she was at the hospital to get her cancer results. His nephew had sat down next to each other as he was missing g his mom. She helped his nephew through the tough time and when Dante went to day goodbye to his mom, she went to see her doctor when her name was called. All Massimo wanted to do was thank her. He called and called. The issue from the last book was a case of mistake. Identity. What happens when Hennessey finds out the truth? Will their relationship be able to withstand the repercussions. Great love story with drama and taking chances on love and life.

This one hit different, but in such a good way. Henley's story was heartbreaking, and the way everyone surrounded her was so fucking perfect.
Its books like these that make me wish being a MC club were really like this. Henley, Massimo and Dante were so great. I loved this story, and for once really wished this one was longer.

This was such a fantastic story that really pulled at the heartstrings! Henley went through so much and I’m so happy she found someone strong to stand by her! She was amazing! Massimo is definitely persistent and it finally paid off! He was amazing with Dante and Henley! He really showed his character when he went to talk to the guys of Diamondback! Luckily they all were in similar businesses so he understood how things might go down. This was an amazing story!.

April 28, 2022This is the 3rd book in the second generation Diamondback MC series. In the last book we knew something was brewing with Henley but we didnt know what. I was so excited for a Mob meets MC book! Massimo knows the second he sees Henley with his nephew Dante that she is the one for him but first he has to get her to take a chance on him. Henley has so much else on her mind she is not sure she wants anything to do with Massimo but he finally wears her down. But first they have to deal with her family and the MC. This was a great book and I cant wait to read the next one!

Another terrific book from this author and in this series. Massimo and Henley are great together. Both overcoming huge odds to be able to trust each other and be open to love. Massimo was amazing in his pursuit of Henley and how he was patient with her. Henley was so strong overcoming all of her fears and being open to loving Massimo. A really great book.

Henleys life got turned upside down when she is diagnosed with Cancer, but getting the news she was in remission, the story wasnt so good for Dantes mothers. Dante and Henley bond but its Dantes uncle Massimo who shows Henley a brighter future, even when things come to light. well written, emotionally charged, with steamy scenes, desires and more.

This is a well written book with strong likable characters in Henley and Massimo. The author does a fantastic job building their relationship as well as pulling at your heartstrings with all the emotions coming through the pages. She paints her scenes perfectly and moves the story fluidly. I loved this book and am looking forward to the next one.

This was a fantastic book! My heart broke for Henley but I loved her strength through everything. Massimo is an alpha who is brought to his knees by Henley and is willing to do anything to get and keep her. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait for Silas's book! I would recommend this book, this series, and Ms. Tory as a must read author!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Henley returns to Texas to fight her cancer which she wins. There she meets Massimo and his nephew Dante where she helps Dante after his mother dies. Massimo and Henley are attracted to each other with Massimo pursuing her. They have to deal with family politics and mistakes but Massimo proves himself to her family. Massimo and Henley build a family together.

Addictive was a great addition to the Diamondback MC Series by Tory Baker. Massimo and Henley were simply amazing together. Henley first meets Massimo at her oncologist's office. Massimo has just lost his sister and is now raising his nephew Dante. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. Once I started reading their story, I couldn't put it down. If you enjoy MC romance you will love this series. Anxious to read Silas story next.

Henley has taken some gut punches and she tries to avoid Massimo. Their chance meeting at the hospital because of his nephew changed both their lives. Henley isn't interested in love, not now that her dreams of the future have been shattered. But Massimo is nothing if not persistent and determined to get to know Henley. Henley and Massimo's story broke my heart and put it back together again. Loss may have shaped them but it didn't break them. I loved it!

He has become a father to his nephew Dante after loading her mom. We read about them navigating their lives and family situation while fighting their feelings for each other. OMG I love this story so much. It totally lived up to all the build up I had in my head for it. Henley’s cancer was handled with so much love and care, as sad as it was, it was beautiful and heart wrenching. Massimo had his own heart break he was going through and it put them into each other’s orbit at just the right time. What a beautiful story! And I’m so looking forward to Silas’s story!

Grab. The. Tissues.
Henley & Massimo’s story got me right in the feels. Henley goes through hell and back and I got very emotional reading her journey. Tory does a great job of giving you enough of her story but also not overwhelming the story with it. Massimo is persistent and won’t give up until Henley gives in to their chemistry. I love the family aspect of this series and how they love so hard.
