Meet me in KASANE, Brigitta Zwani, #book5of2024.
Ah, who doesn't love a love story. Tori is NOT looking for love, but love finds her in Kasane, an eco-friendly piece of heaven in Botswana where man and animal live side by side.
Tori moves her life to Kasane and builds a budding tourism business, but the residents are baffled by the unexpected dying of herds of buffaloes. Could this be a virus, it can't possible be poaching because hundreds of buffaloes drop dead simultaneously.
In an enexpected twist, yes Brigitta, I didn't see it coming, the story takes a wild but satisfactory turn and, dear reader, you will be hurled , head first, into one of the most heart-warming endings.

Picked it up at the airport as a souvenir. It is an easy read I think I read it in 2 days. As I’m used to European writing, some of the slang I didn’t understand. There are multiple stories in one, a little action in the end which can be confusing. The history mentioned and the sights was amazing, it was a great throw back to my travels in Botsuana.

Kinda slow, reminded me more of Welcome to the Hyunam-Dong Bookshop for the first half than anything else. The mystery was Nancy Drew-esque and the characters themselves not very deep but if you’re looking for a cozy read that brings the safari to you then look no further!
