Sometimes life forces us to make impossible choices.

Lizzie saved Rachel's life when they were young girls and that one moment cemented a lifelong friendship. But twenty-five years later life has dealt them some rough blows.

Lizzie is recently divorced, has a son in college who barely speaks to her, and she's positive her appliances are having a rebellion while demanding the rest of her meager savings. Not to mention, after years of taking care of her husband and son, she has no idea what skills she has to get a job and move on with her life.

Rachel has the perfect life and perfect husband. The only thing she doesn't have is the child she's longed for. She's sure getting pregnant will make her life complete.

Rachel's mother, Sara Jane, has problems of her own. Like her cheating husband who keeps insisting that's all in the past. Until… it isn't.

This book is a celebration of friendship, family, and the strength of three women when pushed to their limits. Try this heartwarming story from USA Today Bestselling author, Kay Correll.

Kay Correll is a USA Today bestselling author of sweet, heartwarming stories that are a cross between women’s fiction and contemporary romance. She is known for her charming small towns, quirky townsfolk, and the enduring strong friendships between the women in her books.

Kay splits her time between the Southwest coast of Florida and the Midwest of the U.S. and can often be found out and about with her camera, taking a myriad of photographs, often incorporating them into her book covers. When not lost in her writing or photography, she can be found spending time with her ever-supportive husband, knitting, or playing with her puppies - a cavalier who is too cute for his own good and a naughty but adorable Australian shepherd. Their five boys are all grown now and while she misses the rowdy boy-noise chaos, she is thoroughly enjoying her empty nest years.

I love books about families and friendship and this book was perfect for me! Lizzie and Rachel have been good friends for years. The years have not always been kind to them. Lizzie is divorced, her college age son seldom talks to her, and after spending her marriage taking care of her husband and son she has few skills to help her find a much needed job. Rachel seems to have it all. Her life is wonderful and she has an amazing husband. But something is missing that she desperately wants. Add in Rachel's mom who is fighting problems of her own and you have the story of three strong determined women. Wonderful characters and a great story! Highly recommend!

heartwarming story of love and life

This book tugged on my heartstrings. I immediately fell in love with Lizzie and wanted her to succeed and I found myself having such endless hope for Rachel. Rachel’s mom Sarah Jane will make the female readers realize it’s never too late to find happiness or oneself. This was a book of reality and life’s punches where proper discovered breathing through it one day at a time until strength built was the only way to survive. I read it in one sitting because I just got immersed into the characters. I believe I have found myself a new author.

A Great Preventing Yourself!!

This book was easy to read and I enjoyed it, The two husbands one Sara Jane's one was a controlling jerk just because he was rich and did respect her. Lizzey was also one who left her for a younger girl. Lizzey and her Son Eric who keep going to his Dad's house ignoring his Mom finally after getting a wonderful girlfriend saw how he was treating his Mom not very good he was seeing how terrible he treated her. Gabe and Martha were Mozart friends who helped her opening her business. Read the book it turned out great.

Can’t wait for the next one!

I’ve loved every single one of Kay Correll’s books! I especially like that they are series’ and carry over with the same characters, usually introducing one or two new each book. Absolutely lovely stories, wonderful author - you can’t go wrong!

Good read from Correll. I really liked these characters and the plot, even it if led to a bit of sadness. I think their growth outweighed the sad. Was hoping to see Steven loose his shirt or go to jail. Looking forward to reading more from this talented author.

Wind chime beach

A fantastic stand alone book that I'd love to see turn into a series.
I'm already in love with these characters (minus 2 of them .lol). You'll figure out who I'm talking about.
Love Kay Corrells book and hope you enjoy this one.

Good buildup and background of the characters

I enjoyed the story. Initially it seems slow but that is because the author gives a good buildup of the characters and this is Book one of what I hope will be another series. I look forward to the next one!

This is a heart warming book about friends and family. It tells you that even when terrible things happen you can go on with the help of family and friends. A very uplifting book.

Disappointed a little with the book.

I was disappointed with so much sadness in the book. It was too much like real life. When I read I like to escape real life. There is enough of sadness in the real world. Stick to your previous kind of books.

Wonderful

This book was difficult to put down. So real and things like this do happen in real life. I love seeing the women be strong and stand up for themselves.
