Throughout history, humans have been asking the same questions about life and death, suffering and happiness, who we are and what our purpose is. Caroline Mrowiec, an American occupational therapist, asked these questions too, and this led her to the other side of the world to the unlikely place of Danang, Vietnam, to start a therapy clinic there. Follow her journey, discover the experiences and faith that impacted her, and meet some of the people who helped her to reshape her questions in a whole new way.
First off, I’m honored to be Caroline’s sister in law. Caroline’s words in this book not only demonstrate her deep love for the Lord but just how big her heart is in caring for everyone she comes into contact with. I was aware of Caroline’s work in Vietnam but did not have the full understanding of just how many challenges she faced until reading this book. I can definitely see God working through her through these stories and am so blessed to be able to learn so much from her. I can’t wait for part two to hear the ending of the story!
Caroline is such a personable writer, you almost feel like you are in the room with her during her journey. The book was such a delight to read and I am ready for Part II!
