Pawverbs for a Cat Lover's Heart: Inspiring Stories of Feistiness, Friendship, and Fun

Rate this book
Cats aren't just cute and cuddly; they also have a lot to teach us about life.

Our cats are our companions--they love us deeply, are always honest with us (sometimes too honest), and are there for us when we need them most. There is no sound in the world quite as soothing as the purr of a contented cat by our side.

But cats are even more than our companions--they can be our wise teachers, sharing lessons that stay in our hearts forever. Cats show us the importance of trusting the people we love; they model how to live with confident authenticity; and they inspire us to overcome obstacles that stand in our way. Ultimately, God has given us animals to point us to Himself--to the One who is always there and who loves us unconditionally, right where we are.

Pawverbs for a Cat Lover's Heart is a collection of stories with beautiful photographs, each featuring a real-life animal and sharing a principle from the book of Proverbs. You'll not only find inspiring and heartwarming tales, but also spiritual truths to touch your heart and remind you of God's unfailing love, wisdom, and grace.

I love the short little stories and prayers for each one!! I would start my day by reading one story. This was a gift given to me by my mom, and now I am going to turn around and gift it to someone else. :)

I received this book as a Goodreads Giveaway and found it enjoyable and inspirational. It is good daily devotional. Each chapter starts with a Bible verse, then has a heartwarming short story about a cat, and ends with questions for reflection. It also has beautiful photos of cats throughout the book. I recommend it for Christians who love cats and kittens.

An inspirational, adorable, and well-written collection of stories that will heal the heart and are good for the soul. The underlying Biblical passages are very helpful, and add a nice touch. I would definitely recommend this one.

This was a very sweet devotional. Each chapter began with a verse from Proverbs and the story was an example of it in action as demonstrated by cats. A lovely reminder that cats are angels on Earth.

The photographs of the cats were fantastic. The "stories" not so much. It was a stretch to find insights from the Proverbs.

Beautiful 😻 And I liked reading all the psalms as well. It's a good way to connect people like me to God who aren't necessarily religious.
