Have you ever been absolutely fired up for God? Have you felt fully sold out for Him and promised Him that your life would never be the same again?
Too often, these overwhelming, energizing, thrilling feelings don’t last. We attend high-energy events and impassioned church services that leave us feeling so overcome and in love with God. But a few days go by, and we fall back into living our lives just like before. We assume a plateaued relationship with God is normal and that a life of on-fire faith is only possible in certain situations. Jonni Nicole Parsons understands this disconnect all too well.
In her debut book, Ignited , Jonni explores what we need to change in our quest for a sustainable passionate faith. Using Scripture and her own personal journey, Jonni will empower you
God wants to awaken a deep longing for Him in our hearts and souls in our everyday moments. We were never meant to be lukewarm, and Ignited offers a fresh perspective on living a passionate life for Jesus.
this book reaffirmed my commitment to the Lord. this book is filled with of reminders that rebuke the insecurities and degrading thoughts i have about my self. loving the Lord is a daily commitment and being with Him is beautiful. He loves and loves like no other and he is the greatest friend that our human flesh is always searching for. this book was great, and i loved learning more about his character.
This is a fantastic book. Jonni writes with such rawness and honesty. She writes what many of us have been thinking which is really comforting. If you’ve ever thought you’re not a good enough Christian or struggled to live how you want, this is a great book to read.
Jonni gives practical advice on how to be disciplined in your faith and she also shares some of her testimony as well which is so inspiring and amazing to see how God has used her story for His glory.
There are loads of Scripture references too which is great as you can see all the advice and guidance is rooted in God’s word.
Whatever age you are and whatever you have or haven’t done, it’s never too late to start being on fire for God. Read it! Follow her on Instagram too - her content is very wholesome and encouraging!
I was not familiar with this author before reading this book, which when it comes to Christian nonfiction does make me a little cautious, but I though the entire message of this book was really strong. I did think the best chapters were the first two and I loved how the message of this book steered away from having an emotion-filled faith and focused on the need for discipline and faithfulness in order to stay ignited. I really feel like the first two chapters are the stars of this book and the rest of the book focuses more on the author’s story and more basic application in my opinion. This book does feel geared more toward younger females.
Thank you Net Galley and the publisher for the opportunity to review this ARC!
I’ve never heard about Jonni Nicole Parson until I heard about her in a podcast episode from Truth Talks with Tara. That’s when I heard that she’s was coming out with this book and I was so excited. Let me just say it lived of to it’s expectations. This book help you understand what it means to be on “fire” for God. What a great book and this was definitely my top read of the year!
Such a great book by Jonni. God is so evident in her journey and she made all the right points of staying on fire for God. It's not about us its always about Him, it's not based on feelings it's about the love God already extends to us. ❤❤
I absolutely loved this book! The author actually FaceTimed into my small group and had a one on one time with us! This book challenged me in so many way but also reaffirmed some of God promises and truths to me. I highly recommend this book! 10/10
I can’t say enough good things about this good! Changed a lot of my perspective on “being on fire” for God. And how we can’t base if we are “on fire” by our feelings/emotions. 🔥🔥 such a great book for new believers , old, and everyone in between!
This is a very good book, but I do feel as if it is a solid 4.8 book for me there was a few things I didn't agree with but all in all it was well worded and thought provoking.
Amazing read! Captivating start to finish, easy to digest, and extremely relatable. I learned so much reading this book and hope Jonni pursues writing another!
