In this fantasy isekai tale, one slacker gets a rude awakening when he becomes the guardian of a dungeon!
Masuda Keima just wants to sleep. Too bad for him, he's been pulled from sweet dreams and comfy sheets into a fantasy dungeon in another world! Not only is he charged with protecting it, but failure to do so will cost him his life. His only guide is the personification of the Dungeon Core, Rokuko--but she's a moron who can't even figure out how to drive away a group of bandits. If Keima ever wants to get some quality shut-eye again, he'll have to take over running this dungeon himself!
I really tried to get past the ecchi parts but I couldn’t. I could’ve done it if the characters ages maybe weren’t mentioned or there was even plausible deniability that they weren’t made to look like children, but no, within the first few pages you’re smacked with the pedo style and rather let then let it be a distasteful one off joke it gets worse.
There was potential with the interesting concept of dungeon management and the ability to work around the system by semantics like mold being alive therefore they can work with living creatures or being able to take modern knowledge and apply it to spells etc…
Instead I got a full page spread of an 8 year old slave Demi-human legs spread with piss all over her. But it’s okay guys cause the MC says he’s not into little girls. (Except when that same little girl puts on stockings then his morals break down)
The running ‘gag’ is he doesn’t like little girls but it never failed that he’d turn around and immediately does something to support he is.
If you’ve read this review and you still go ‘hmm I’ll still try it’ I have two things to say to you…
For those purely trying it because they don’t believe what I’ve written here. I say to you good luck solider. 🫡
For those who saw this all as not a problem. I say this - get some help, preferably of the professional kind.
So, this is new, I think... Isekai idle game? Reminds me of the one where the main character was taken away by the Isekai Lottery Truck (actual name) instead of fulfilling his and his lover's death pact; this MC doesn't want to do any hero stuff (read: work), either!
Anyway, yeah, first half of the book is "Okay, we earn Dungeon Points for things happening in the dungeon? Absolutely an idle game, so meanwhile I'll take ALL THE NAPS"...then the story starts to turn into the standard fare in the second half, but only because the dungeon is threatened to be destroyed.
Undecided if I like it enough to keep reading, it DOES have some of the more eye-rolly tropes... :/
Tried to give it a shot, but it’s pretty boring. The mechanics are nothing I haven’t seen before and don’t make up for the pedophilic “jokes.” Didn’t find anything to like in this one.
