Maren Tucker is done with men who check in for the good times and check out for the bad. As a member of one of the oldest families in Bellerive, she doesn't have to play nice with the Summerset Royals.
Brice Summerset is the life of every party, and as the third in line to the throne, he's never had to take anything in life particularly seriously. Show up. Charm a few people. Make a generous donation. Move on.
But Brice's life is on the cusp of big changes. His father is sick. His two older brothers are settling down, and he's starting to wonder what else life has to offer.
When Maren tries to block Brice from joining her charity adventure race team, Brice balks at the notion he's not up to the challenge. As the two butt heads over everything from training philosophies to life goals, they begin to see something in themselves and each other that they never expected.

Oh. My. Gosh. “Fallen Crown” by W. Million was absolutely incredible!!! Brice and Maren were definitely an unconventional couple, but their chemistry was fiery and undeniable, even at first when they didn’t like each other. I loved the way Brice does his best to never hurt Maren the way she’s been hurt before, and I loved that Maren sees Brice for the man he is, not just the prince. This book was the perfect mixture of witty banter and agonizing angst, and I truly enjoyed reading it. If you love a good royal romance and/or the enemies to lovers trope, then this is the book for you!
I read Heavy Crown, the previous book in the Bellerive Royals series a few months ago and I instantly fell in love with these characters and the author’s writing style. Fallen Crown features the third Summerset son, Prince Brice as he signs up for a charity adventure race as a distraction from tragedy in his family life. The added bonus is the challenge of butting heads with coach and socialite Maren Tucker, who is the one person Brice has ever met who can resist his charming personality. But Maren and Brice have more in common than they think and things start to get complicated …
Fallen Crown is a heart wrenching, moving and uplifting tale about grief, second chances and finding love when you least expect it.
It’s not your average love story. In parts it’s extremely moving, and I was so invested in the characters that it put me through the emotional wringer. The plot covers a number of very difficult topics that were handled very sensitively and provided the story with real depth.
Despite outwardly appearing as opposites, Maren and Brice were very similar; they both conveyed a public image that hid their true, complex selves. Their shared grief brought them together and provided them with common ground and a deep emotional connection.
The path to their love contained more obstacles that the adventure race they were competing in as they journeyed from enemies, to rivals, to friends, to lovers. Their slow burn chemistry was electric and I was rooting for them every step of the way!
Brice was an absolute sweetheart who saw straight through Maren’s front and allowed her to be herself. In turn, Maren encouraged Brice to face his grief and assess what he wanted from life. I loved their banter and Brice’s humour and charm stole my heart.
The adventure race storyline was really exciting, and as a fitness fan, I enjoyed following Brice’s progress through training to competing. Hats off to adventure race athletes! It sounded like a heck of a ride.
It was great to catch up with the characters from the previous books and I loved seeing how Rory was adapting to royal life and motherhood. I’m not ready to leave these characters behind, so I hope there’s more in store for the Bellerive Royals.
If you like romance stories with depth, emotion, searing romance, and adventure, then Fallen Crown is for you!
Prince Brice is third in line for the throne. After his niece Grace and his brother Nick. Even before his father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s he was a big supporter of the Alzheimer’s Society. As this book opens, he's trying to get a place on the adventure team, that will be competing in an international Charity Adventure Race Event for Alzheimer’s.
Maren Tucker is totally against his participation; she will be coaching the team this go around having been injured in the last race. It's her opinion that Prince Brice takes nothing seriously and would put the team in jeopardy, regardless how much publicity and fundraising his participation would attract. She is coaching and training the team for this event having been injured on the last race she participated in.
Brice pulls out all the stops in his effort to join the team, including offering a place for training on the palace grounds. He's done the things required for the race, just not to that extreme. He's determined to train hard and be the best teammate he can be.
The first day of training Maren has him there early, a surprise 10K run before paddleboarding with the team. That was quite the experience for him. The next day is rock climbing, using the wall. Maren isn't going to let up on him, but Brice is ready for her.
As his training progresses, so does the attraction between him and Maren. Then the unthinkable happens and a teammate injures himself and can't race.
Brice encourages Maren to take his place. She's healed enough to do so but has reservations since she already told her husband she was only coaching the event.
Maren's cousin finally gets through to her about her marriage and she files for formal separation before the race. A good thing too.
I love the way this book plays out, the romance with Maren and Brice, the tension with her soon to be ex, the obstacles and stress of the race, her secret and so much more!
Spoiler…… if you are 100% against morally grey relationships/cheating possibilities with the main characters this might not be the book for you.
BUT you if you are okay with it, I highly recommend.
Maven’s story is one that I think a lot of people can relate to. She stayed in a dysfunctional relationship longer than is mentally or emotionally healthy, causing her some self doubt when it came to relationships and love.
Her and Brice’s relationship started off hostile because of preconceived notions they had of the other but quickly found friendship and empathy in the other while they both figured out how to navigate their own grief.
I loved this book and absolutely adored the whole series. The Bellerivian boys certainly deserved to be happy, and the women they chose are sublime. The way they dealt with the Altzeimers diagnosis of their father was delicately written throughout the three books. Hopefully there'll be more novellas written about these families in the future Thank you for these reads 🩷
Loved it from beginning to end. It’s beautifully written. Loved Brice and Maren’s story. Love how the other characters are intertwined. It’s a must read
Oh Boy! Readers are in for a ride. Fallen Crown by Wendy Million takes us on the roller coaster ride that is the life of Brice Sommerset in the Bellerive Royal Series. I have to admit I've taken great pleasure in reading this series. It is a guilty pleasure for me! I would love for the series to go on forever but, I have not asked Wendy what her plans are. I'm going to have to!
In case you are new to this series, Brice is the youngest royal son. Therefore, a lot has not been required of him and he has been able to pull off some wild behaviors without many consequences. Brice is one of those fun loving characters that everyone loves. He is the life of the party. Never sticks to one woman and doesn't ever see himself getting married. A royal on Bellerive can't divorce so, Brice isn't taking any chances on getting stuck with one woman for the rest of his life. Then comes Maren Tucker. Is she the one that changes his mind? She hates Brice and all he stands for. The characters in this installment will steal your heart. You'll find yourself rooting for the Bellerive team to win the race. Such fun!
I really have enjoyed the royals of Bellerive. They have different laws than we do and it has been interesting to see how being head of a country allows you certain privilege and abilities to change things that don't work. I brings to our attention how public figures do not live a private life at all. The outside world constantly sees, hears and judges what they do or don't do. Nothing is very private for them. It does have a profound influence on their lives and how they see and react to the world around them.
Wendy Million has written and outstanding book and series. Her story telling is effortless. If you like the crown or anything to do with royalty, you will fall in love with this series. I haven't watched the crown yet but, I think I'm going to fall to it's intrigue. I'm not easily offended by intimate scenes but, I wouldn't describe them as over the top. Just right. I highly recommend the Bellerive Royal Series and the new release Fallen Crown. Until next time...Happy Reading!

I received a complimentart copy of this book from the author. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I read a lot of romance, so it comes as a surprise when I find myself thinking about what the characters would be doing next and it was while I was at work! This is very uncommon, believe me!
Maren Tucker is a socialite raised on appearances. She spends most of her time on charities. When one of the local princes, Brice Summer set, decides he wants to go on adventure race. To help raise money for the Alzheimer's Society. That Maren will be coaching for. She gets upset. She remembers Brice from high school. Hes a pretentious playboy. Who is used to getting what he wants. The society believes the media attention from having a prince on the team will be a positive. So, Maren pushes him right from the start. Wanting him to know this race will not be easy. Brice doesn't know why Maren hates him. But she has never liked him. He also knows she doesn't want him on team. But he decides to prove her wrong. When they start training alone. They both realize they don't know the other person at all. When lines start to blur. Brice constantly reminds himself that she is married, even if her husband doesn't deserve her. Maren decides to step back from training alone with him. She realizes she is starting to have feelings for him. And she doesn't want to be like her cheating father.
I loved this book. It was such a great story! The issues they had were very realistic. You could feel every emotion they had. It will suck you in. So, make sure you have time to read it. You will want to finish it right away. If you like Enemies to lovers, you will enjoy this book.
Speechless , mind blown and on the edge of my seat feeling like my heart was beating out of my chest . Those are only a few of the things I felt while reading Fallen Crown by non other then the queen of romance herself W Million!!!! If you are new to Wendy’s Bellerive Royals series I definitely suggest staring at the beginning for a better understanding of all the characters ( although amazing book can be read as a standalone) this time around we get Brice and Maren’s emotional rollercoaster of a love story ( two people who could not be more different yet somehow fit so perfectly together. Their journey is definitely not all hearts and flowers , they deal with many obstacles and ups and downs along the way but the connection and the chemistry between them is undeniable. Intrigue, second chances , witty banter , angst , romance , tragedy, hurt , enemies to lovers , unexpected surprises, family , friendships, heartbreaking and heartwarming moments , wonderfully written characters that are so likable and relatable as well as very multi layered and a storyline I can promise is going to grab onto all your emotions so tightly and pull at your heartstrings in ways you definitely will not be expecting. Fallen Crowm is one of the best romances I’ve read in the last few months . Do Not Miss It
This book has evoked every possible feeling in me, from start to finish. Just like in the rest of the Bellerive Royals series, the plot and its characters have so many layers and the author, Wendy Million, has managed to convey all their personal complexities so beautifully. My heart soared and broke and fluttered all thanks to W. Million's amazing writing. Maren, Brice and this book burrowed its way into my heart and I feel privileged to have shared in this journey with them.
This book was amazingly written, story flow, plot, characters, all of it! 🖤
Prince Brice is out to prove he has what it takes and finding something on his own while the inevitable awaits. Maren had a tragic accident, pushed past her fears, while all alone.
You will be sucked in their story and feel all the emotions both characters go through. The push and pull is contagious.
The Bellerive Royals do keep you on your toes, the plot, the mystery and the connection between Maren and Brice was wonderful to watch unfold, and it all came together in a perfectly formed HEA.
A tangled divorce, a game of cat and mouse will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish, if you like intrigue in your romance,e you will love Fallen Crown.
Loved reading this sequel in the Bellerive royal series. Brice and Maren are two very different people with complex problems of their own but are able to find each other in their grieve and competitiveness. Wendy knows how to captivate a reader. Once you start reading this book, you do not want to put it away. Definitely recommend reading the series as a whole!!
I love this one! In the other books Brice was the fun loving player but in this story Maren Tucker has allowed him to be the most living , caring, genuine man. There are some triggers in this one, miscarriage and cheating, but the story is so sweet and emotional. I loved wrapping up the royal brothers series and seeing little cameos of the previous books characters.
I love the entire Bellerive men series but this one touches me in a different way. The way they came from enemies to lovers was epic. I’m so hurt that it’s over.
Prince Brice is third in line for the throne and has lived his life the way he wants to. He has been working with the Alzheimer care center for awhile and understands what this does to a person. Brice has been on the Board for a long time and so has Maren Tucker. His father, King George, is diagnosed with the disease. To cope with the situation, his wants the spot of the Adventure Race Team to take his mind of his father's condition and what will happen. Maren Tucker will do everything is her power to make he does not get the spot. But Brice does and now she has no choice but to train him. That is when there relationship starts. It does take them a while for Maren to realize that he is not the person the press makes him out to be. Maren is also deciding if her marriage is worth saving. Her husband left the island when she needed him the most. This complicates her feelings for Brice and her husband. She needs to figure out what she wants to do. This is a good book and I would recommended reading the previous books.
I went back and forth on my like and dislike of this book, but the last half and ending I loved. First off, I hated Maren. She was so arrogant and judgemental. She judged Brice for a rumor that went around I'm HS without even trying to get facts. That pissed me off. It was such a stupid reason. Brice hid who he was because he has no one he could trust. Yeah he pushed Marens buttons, but honestly, once he knew the truth of her past, even if he found out a messed up way, he was kinder. He tried to listen and get her to change her mind. By the end, it worked out for everyone. I love Brice and Maren together! I definitely want to read more about Marens family though. Her mom and dad seem like assholes, but her siblings seem awesome.
Overall I enjoyed the story though obviously predictable. It also was a slow to start romance. Nothing happened til like 60-70% into the book. Which feels like forever to me.
But their romance and the soon to be ex husband's obvious infidelities weren't surprising at all. 🤷🏼♀️
Maren could not stand Brice and sets out to prove what a wastrel he was. In this hate to love you process she finds he is loyal and sensitive man who has always been taken for granted.
Tropes: royal romance, enemy to lover, love-triangle, married FMC (no cheating), tragic love, small town/country romance
Review: Royal romance. Bad Boy Prince. Action and Sports trope. This is a book that has it all…almost.
I normally don’t read books that allude to cheating or affairs but this is one book that is in the gray area where I truly enjoyed the read.
Maren and Brice are enemies at first who are at each others throats and take each chance to fight with each other. They each have trauma and struggles in their personal lives that compounds on their frustrations with each other. Where Brice is easy going and flirty, Maren is ice-cold and aloof.
I enjoyed this book because it took a spin on the Royal Romance read one usually sees. Both characters come from old money and yes while Brice is a Prince it does not detract from Maren’s old money appearance.
This was my first read in the series so some storylines I missed out on and I had not read the prior books in the series. This being said, it can be read as a stand alone and the romance is singular to this book only.
The best part of this story was the development of trust and friendship between the couple. While Maren holds her values true and does not cheat on her husband, she does grow close to Brice and forges a true friendship where they can lean on one another.
I wanted to shake Maren a lot in this book. While I understood her dilemma, it was hard not to just say “Brice is right there!!”
I enjoyed reading both characters development and how the trust between them elevated the Race team and eventually the race itself. It was truly something when they both gave themselves to the charity and race while also supporting each other and the team.
Rating: This book was a 4.5/5 read for me. While I loved the tropes and romance, the dragging out of Maren’s divorce made me upset at times.
My first book by W. Million and Fallen Crown is the third book in the Bellerive Royals series and can easily be read as a standalone. Fallen Crown is an enemies to lovers romance between Brice Summerset, the ultimate party prince and Maren Tucker, a professional fund raiser. Recent revelations have caused Brice to re-evaluate his life and he doesn’t like what he sees so he decides the perfect way to find himself would be to join a charity adventure race. The trouble is Maren doesn’t want him on the team so what happens when an irresistible object meets an immovable object?
Fallen Crown has fantastic characters with some great banter-filled exchanges between the hero and heroine but I just didn’t feel any chemistry between them. It has a great story with a good flow and covers a few angsty topics such as Alzheimer’s and right to die issues without being overly heavy but the relationship between Maren and Brice just seemed more like that of an argumentative brother and sister than passionate lovers so I’ll have to give this book 3.5 stars. However I did still enjoy this author’s writing and have been intrigued enough by the hints of Alex and Rory’s story to try that book next.
Maren and Brice's story is a rollercoaster of emotions!
As the youngest son in the royal family, Brice never really had to worry about anyone or anything other than himself. He has no responsibilities, nothing is expected of him, and he has more or less lived his life however he wanted it. Maren, meanwhile, has had a tough life and has been hurt so much by so many people. She detests Prince Brice, but has no choice but to train him for a charity race, much to her dismay. So what happens when Maren discovers that Prince Playboy isn't all that he seems?
I loved how sweet Brice was with Maren, how he respected and cared for her when she didn't have much of that at all before. And she saw him for the man that he is, not the royal prince who grew up in the palace.
This royal romance is a royal gem! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
I am so sad that my time with the Royals is finished and I know for a fact that I will be coming back to spend some time with them again. I loved each of these books but of all the men we met in this series, Brice is my favourite. He wormed his way into my heart with his dad jokes, dogged perseverance and faith in Maren. I've always had a soft spot for enemies to lovers and Fallen Crown did not disappoint. I highly recommend the entire series.
This book was really an adventure getting to know Maren and Brice and all the different adventures and excursions they went on for their adventure race. I really liked getting to know them and their back stories. Overall this was really fun and I enjoyed the story.
Maren and Brice's story is unexpected IMO. It's fun and entertaining with the banter and chemistry between them. But some heavy topics are also in discussion though Wendy made it not seem really heavy. So I was able to enjoy the story.
