Spesso mi perdevo all’ombra di mio fratello maggiore, Sebastian Blake.
I'm a wife and mother of three teenage kids. I've been married to the same wonderful man for twenty years. I've decided that if I can survive raising three kids then I can survive anything!! I haven't uttered the Mama's curse yet, but it could happen any day now. You know the one..."I hope you have a child just like you someday."
I'm an avid reader and lover of all things romance. I've spent my entire adult life waiting to follow my dreams of becoming a writer. One day this past summer, I decided to just do it. No more wishing and hoping. I haven't quit my day job, but that is my ultimate goal...make a living telling stories of love.
I write contemporary gay fiction. I hope you will love reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them.
Scorching sex but dull plot with cookie-cutter MCs.
Also, there was way too much banter about sex amongst family members.
We're a really liberal, open family, but I really can't see my dad teasing my brother that he can't sit cause he took it up the ass so hard last night. I mean, that's not normal, right? Yet that's all Tom's family talks about.
I couldn't find it funny, because it struck me as false and a little creepy to boot.
The ending was a HEA of course, but can we get off the baby train, please? You don't need to have children to be a family or be happy (and this is coming from a woman who has kids).
***** Glorious, amazing, love story !! ***** No huge drama here, just a beautiful tale of two men who desperately need each other. We met Sebastian, the boss, and Adam in "Only You". Here we have Sebastian's brother Wesley, a sweet, successful businessman, who wants his best friend, tall, lean, Tomas, to be more than a friend, and vice versa. These men are smart, stable, and love to be around one another, but as they hang out, EACH one wants the other forever. Tomas is leery of dating in the workplace, especially the boss's brother. Tomas keeps trying blind dates, all failing miserably. First there was the "cat" man, the creepy Funeral guy, the dentist who kept texting his Mom, complete no-where-ville in the dating scene, but it's okay, because NO ONE will ever be as amazing as Wesley. We feel the sadness, the lonely nights, the longing these men lived, denying their chance at happiness. Now, Tomas needs a date to a wedding, and Wesley agrees to go. We hear Wesley story of his past with drugs, and they horrible Dad. Tomas is from an amazing family, and wants nothing more than to be with Wesley until the end, home, kids, the works. Slowly these two get around to kissing, and then the escalation is quick.
They are so sexy, no-hold-barred together, with sweaty, erotic, sexiness that will hold your attention, and there is LOTS of it. The guys navigate their issues, the unforeseen problems that pop up, and the resolve to make this relationship work is magnificent. We laugh (men's wig modeling) and cry as we are rooting for them big time. I do not want to give away all the steps to their fabulous loving souls, so I'll stop. But you will want to know, as the book holds your eyes to every page. Awesome side characters, great fun, and banter, tremendous love scenes, and we get to see their happy ending, plus a terrific epilogue. Highly recommended - as is each book in this series !! ENJOY !!! =========================================
On a personal note; Say a prayer for dear Aimee Nicole Walker, as she navigates another round of Chemo for Breast Cancer. Thanks. =========================================
Ideally, this book should've been half as long. A lot of details weren't needed and I am pretty tired of the formulaic way the series has been so far. Even the sexy times couldn't save this one.
I skimmed it majorly and all in all, I really don't know why I even read past the 30% mark.
Im definitely in the minority on this. I didn't connect with characters and felt bored through out the book. After i read it i barley remembered much of it or cared sadly. I do enjoy the other books in this series along with Sebastian's story in "Only You" but for some reason this one did nothing for me. Please don't let this determine your decision to read or not read this book as this is purely my own opinion based on my experience as the rest of the books in the series are actually very good.
In typical Walker fashion, these boys had there sweet happily ever after. The book started at the one year point when Wesley and Tomas have been best friends all of this time. We find out that they have both been harboring deep feeling for each other but are unsure if the other feels the same.
I would have liked to read about the building of the friendship and the angst that went along with knowing you love your best friend but can't express it. We get a very brief look into it but they move quickly into boyfriend status and life after that.
All together this was a low angst, sweet story of best friends becoming each other's whole world.
I've enjoyed all of the couple's in this series for one reason or another but these two are possibly one of the least angsty with none of the miscommunication troubles which often plague romance books. I loved seeing more of Sebastian and Adam as well as all the guys from the earlier books as Wes' grandpa married Chase's grams. And oh boy can Ms Walker write a sex scene, they sear into your brain they're that full of passion and emotion.
I have loved this series since the beginning but this is the icing on the cake. This author has brought out every emotion I have. These two together is so dynamic and how she brought all the characters throughout the series back in full circle is just amazing
I cannot find a single good thing to say about this book. Really! Nothing. I just kept rolling my eyes! And at times, I just stared at the words I read as if I were staring at the person saying something or doing something and asking them “really?”! That’s it then, no more Walker books for me.
That book did not work for me. Nobody talks like that, not even gay men. "I love you boo" "No, no, I love you more" "But I understand what you are going through and I will fully support your decision, whatever it may be." "No, no, I am the master of empathy here, let me tell you yet again how much I love you, and that I am here for you through those issues you are struggling with."
And I, the poor reader, am sitting through all these exchanges gagging from the abundance of love, support and understanding. Aww, aren't you two grown up powerful corporate gay men so cute and perfect for each other. Cue in the two ex- boyfriends looking to stir trouble, our MC Wes overcoming drug addiction and an ill-with-cancer mother in law, overprotective brother, a bodyguard, a perfectly happy and hillarious extended family and...the pulling of my heart strings turned into eye rolls. Overdone much, Aimee?
The love story between Wes and Tom is so beautiful! I loved that this book tied The Fated Hearts series to Aimee's other book Only You and that we were able to catch up a little with everyone.
Aimee is an auto buy author for me. I don't need to read teasers, blurbs or previews to know that she's written a book that I have to read. Wes and Tom's story made me sigh, cry and laugh out loud.
I'm not good at writing reviews so I can't do this book and all the others justice. But if you're wondering if you should read this book, the answer is Hell Yes, read the whole series!
Thank you Aimee for this beautiful story, for continuing to grow your writing when you're fighting so hard in your personal life. Thank you for everything you give your characters and your readers!
Tomas and Wesley have been in love since they met, but haven’t done anything about it because they both work for Sebastian, Wes’ brother, so it’s complicated.
But, once they take that step, they face other bumps together, and their relationship grows.
Nice characters, but this book is off. The style is less in keeping with the rest of the series. Things happen too fast between Wes and Tom, then there are strange people from the past who interfere, but don’t need to be there.
The pacing was also strange, some things too drawn out, others too fast. The ending was nice, but kind of abrupt as well.
Not the caliber I’m used to from Walker, a barely OK read.
I had my tissues at the ready when i started this book knowing that most of the books in this made me cry both happy and sad tears, but this one, there were no sad tears, just tears of laughter ! Yes there were a few emotional scenes but, for the most part, this was a really happy and funny book !! I loved Wes and Tom's story !! Everything about it was.......PERFECT. It was also great that we were able to catch up with the characters from previous books too and i'm REALLY hoping that Maddox gets a book as well as Jason !!! Fantastic book !!
Quick, sappy, and a little too sweet. I enjoyed that there were a lot of Sebastian and Adam and some of the rest if the Fated Heart folks. This did nicely wrap all pieces and parts together. Like many of the storeys in the series they are just so so sugar sweet. Everyone knows their feelings, and yes there are a few trivial outside issues, but it is mostly just 'I love you and sex'. While that isn't necessarily a bad thing after the ?? time you sort of wonder, is there nothing else?
Always You is book 6 in the Fated Heart Series. It can technically be read as a standalone, although some of the series beloved couples show up here. If possible, though, I recommend you at least read Only You, which is not part of the series, but features Sebastian, who is Wesley's brother, since he and his husband Adam are featured in this book.
Tom has been in love with Wesley since he saw him for the first time, but after learning he is his new boss' younger brother, he realizes nothing will ever come out of it, so he settles for the next best thing and becomes Wesley's best friend.
Wesley isn't too happy to be relegated to the dreaded 'friend zone', but he lacks the courage to discover if Tom might be interested in him and risk losing his friendship. Seeing Tom date other men, no matter how disastrous most of those dates are is slowly killing him, though.
When life throws a curveball at him, Tom decides to finally put it all on the line and show Wesley all his cards. This might be either the best or worst idea he's ever had in his life, but he's got to at least give it a try.
I really liked Tom. He was funny, relatable and reliable. His disastrous dates were too much fun to read. I liked Wes, too, even if his self-sabotaging at the beginning of the story got a bit on my nerves. They had great chemistry and there's no denying Aimee Nicole Walker writes very hot sex scenes.
I loved the parts with both their families, although they kind of sabotaged Tom and Wes' relationship a bit, too. It was obvious it was all done out of love, but really, those two needed help getting together, not to have their families meddling and messing with a good thing, even if it made for an entertaining read.
While some parts of the book were light and fun, there was also some angst as Aimee Nicole Walker delved into some serious themes weaving them flawlessly and respectfully into the main storyline.
All in all, another enjoyable book in this series, filled with fun, tears, jealousy and a lot of love and passion. Very recommendable!
Aimee Nicole Walker has become one of my all time favorite M/M contemporary romance authors. Ever since I fell in love with her writing and her characters, she has become an author whose books I automatically preorder without question.
I absolutely adored Tom and Wes so much and I loved seeing most of the characters from the previous books again. And how she's connected this series to her standalone Only You made my heart so happy.
So many feels. The ups and downs, the heartache and joy. Her books and storylines just seem to get better and better. Though Jagger and Miller are still my favorite couple of hers...I will say Tom and Wes have tied with Chase and Gray for coming in at a very close second for me.
I need her to keep introducing more guys into this circle of friends and extended families so this series will keep going on and on. I'm so excited to see where it goes!!
This was a nice feel good/comfort read. It had two nice guys fall in love without a lot of drama and misunderstandings. The set up in the beginning of the story was the standard friends who wanted each other but didn't realize their feelings were mutual. Then the standard lets pretend to be boyfriends for a family event. Then the book did something that completely shocked me. It took that set up and threw it out the window and got down to the couple admitting their attraction and acting on it. No stumbling around or misunderstandings or hiding things. I loved it.
This book also included big understanding families, girl best friends, and a couple of exs just to add a little drama. Each guy had their own version of troubled past but these thing were just small bumps on their romance road.
These two where hit with so many blockades that it was insane. But, I will tell you that I didn't find it predictable at all which was refreshing. I really enjoyed these characters and how they were finally able to open their hearts.
Sadly, I'm off to read the final book in the series 😔
I have to confess i'm a speed reader so i whizz past the boring text and get right to the dialogue, that's where the stories grab me. I enjoyed this book as much as the others but i do skip the sex parts mostly as they are all just the same but i will probably read the series again when I've run out of new books to read - PJ x
Another amazing addition to the Fated Hearts series. These books just keep getting better and better. I absolutely loved Tom and Wes and I didn't want their story to end. This book was HOT!! It was awesome catching up with all my favorite characters too. Can't wait to read the next book.
I liked Tom and Wes's story, they were both interesting characters as individuals. I struggled with their coming together as quickly as they did, once they decided to go for it. The plot twists about their previous relationships was a bit repetitive- telling a new partner you've been married/divorced, is generally expected. It worked out to an ok story in the end.
