Guardians of the North Book 2 A Military Man Curvy Woman Romance
Ella
Today was supposed to be the happiest day of my life. But I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t walk down the aisle and marry the wrong man. So, I ditch my own wedding and board a plane. I’m probably crazy for showing up in North Haven, Alaska unannounced. It’s been ten years since I last saw Jordan Harris. Considering I was the one who broke his heart, I doubt he’ll want to see me. But I have to know if what we once had is possible to have again. I’ve never stopped loving him. I only hope he’ll forgive me before my overbearing mother discovers where I ran off to and tries to break us apart a second time.
Jordan
Another birthday, another year older, another girlfriend caught cheating. The pathetic thing is that I’m not even surprised. Or hurt. I knew she wasn’t The One . It doesn’t matter that Ella McKay broke my heart ten years ago. I still compare every woman I date to her. The end result of those relationships has been the same time and time again. Even after a decade, Ella is the only one who ever made my heart come alive. But that doesn’t prepare me for the shock of seeing her in North Haven. She was supposed to get married today. Instead, she left the man at the altar and came running to me. As much as I want to believe fate has given us a second chance, the complications that broke us up the first time haven’t gone away. If she breaks my heart again, I don’t know if I’ll survive it. But I’ve never stopped loving her. Since I can’t resist her, I’m going to make her mine for good this time.
Meet the J-Squad. These six Coast Guardsmen formed an unbreakable bond in boot camp. After years of being separated on different assignments around the world, they’re finally back together again in their new North Haven, Alaska. They’ve all struck out on love. Until now. The curvy beauties of their dreams are finding their way to Alaska and into the hearts of these brave military men.
Sweet & steamy instalove romance with an older military man and younger curvy woman. NO cliffhangers. NO cheating. Guaranteed HEA.
She is a runaway bride looking for the only man who owns her heart
Jordan is the second book in the Guardians of the North series and I loved this story. The series is about the six men of the "J Squad" of the Coast Guard. This story is about Jordan Harris, the older brother of Blakely and best friend of Jaxson, their story is the previous book. Ten years ago Jordan had fallen in love with a woman back in Virginia Beach, Ella Maccabee but in the end she chose her mother and her money over him. Jordan's heart has always belonged to Ella and even though he has tried to move on he has always compared any other woman to her, and none have even come close. Ella had been in love with Jordan and was ready to live her life with him, but her mother would not have her married to Jordan as he had not status, money or power, which are all important to her. When Jordan proposed they get married and that he would look after her so she could still go to college and follow her life's path of helping people Ella instead broke if off with him. She had a reason and that was because her mother made a threat against Jordan and his place in the Coast Guard. Ella believed her mother, as she was on first name basis with the Admiral, and she knew that being in the Coast Guard was something that Jordan could not live without as it was part of him. Ten years later find Ella about to get married to a man she does not really like, definitely not in love with, and not even attracted to him. So with the help and encouragement of her best friends she becomes a "run-away bride", jumping on the next flight to Alaska and to Jordan. Jordan knew that Ella was getting married, as he did stalk her on social media even if he was not friends with her. So imagine his surprise when he sees Ella sitting at the local bar..........and lets just say that it does not go well. But true love will not be dissuaded even if it becomes a stormy voyage.
I loved this story of true love and second chances, well really second and third chances. I am enjoying this series and the J Squad are going to be a whole lot of fun.
This book is about Ella and Jordan. She was tired of living her life, revolving around making the right impression, to please her powerful and controlling mother. She was merely existing, and not being true to herself. Her best friend Serenity helps her escape the confines of a wedding she doesn’t want to be at, in a marriage she doesn’t want to be in. Ella’s plan is to escape up to North Haven in Alaska where her ex-boyfriend Jordan lives.
He’s unlikely to be happy to see her after she broke his heart a decade ago, but she’s still drawn to him. Regardless of how hard she’s tried to move on, Jordan is the only man Ella has ever truly loved. Her heart hasn’t been whole since she gave it to him all those years ago. And while he has every right to hate her for how she left him, she desperately hopes that he still holds at least a little bit of love for her in his own heart.
As we switch into Jordan’s POV, we find out it’s his birthday, and happens to coincide with Ella’s supposed wedding day. He still loves her, and doubts that will ever change. This has made dating difficult as he compares all women to her, and can’t off them what they want. Jordan is tired from work, and bummed about the date similarity, but is curious about the wedding anyway. He finds no photos or videos on social media, but forgets about it pretty quickly. Of course, he has no idea that she’s a runaway bride. That is, until he goes to the birthday party his sister Blakely organised for him at The Iceberg, and spots Ella sitting at the bar!
There are mixed emotions, an interfering mother, wonderful friends, great banter and laughs, sweet moments and gestures of romance, and some really steamy and passionate sessions between Ella and Jordan. I just wish the story didn’t have to finish. I’m hoping we catch up with them in the next book in the series, where James and Serenity get their chance at a HEA! I give this book four and a half Alaskan stars.

If you’re a fan of heartfelt second-chance romance with a dash of military charm and a curvy heroine who takes charge of her own happiness, Jordan is a must-read. Ella and Jordan’s story is a rollercoaster of emotions, full of angst, love, and redemption.
Ella’s decision to leave her fiancé at the altar and follow her heart to North Haven sets the tone for a bold and emotional journey. Her vulnerability and determination to rekindle her connection with Jordan make her a relatable and lovable protagonist. Jordan, the rugged and loyal Coast Guardsman, is a swoon-worthy hero with a deep well of emotions. His hesitance to trust Ella after their painful breakup is palpable, but his enduring love for her is both heartwarming and heart-wrenching.
The chemistry between Ella and Jordan leaps off the page, balancing sweet tenderness with sizzling passion. The small-town Alaskan setting and the camaraderie of the J-Squad add richness to the story, creating a backdrop that feels both cozy and exciting.
This book is the perfect blend of steam, heart, and happily-ever-after. For anyone who loves strong military heroes and confident, curvy heroines, Jordan delivers on every promise. Highly recommended for a cozy, feel-good escape!

First things first; I like the cover of this book! Jordan is the second book in the ‘’guardians of the north’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Ella and Jordan were once so in love. When Ella broke Jordan’s heart he was gutted. Years later and in the same place, will they get a second chance at love? The chemistry between Jordan and Ella is clear to see and I liked them together. I hated Ella’s mother! I loved what Ella did with her wedding dress. It was a cute/nice moment. I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I look forward to more books from this series.
There’s only one man that Ella has loved and it isn’t the guy at the end of the aisle. Ella runs away on her wedding day and heads to North Haven Alaska where Jordan lives. Will it be to late to apologize for breaking his heart ten years ago? Jordan has never stopped loving Ella even after what she did to him years ago. He thought she was getting married on his birthday but what is she doing at the bar where his sister has planned a party for him? This was an emotional read. Jordan and Ella haven’t lost the connection and chemistry they had years ago. Ella finds the strength to finally stand up to her controlling mother with the help of Jordan’s love and support.

Ella runs away just minutes before her wedding. She can’t stand to get married to any man that is not the love of her life. Jordan is tired of living without the woman he loves and what is worse is that she is supposed to get married to another man any minute now. The problem between them has always been a person who controls every single thing in Ella’s life. Everything would change once Ella decides to fight that person. Just wonderful and emotional. I loved it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ella protected him 10 years ago from her mother. She never let on why she couldn’t stay but she chose her mom over him. Right? 10 years later she elopes from her arranged wedding and her mom planned. Where does she end up in Alaska meeting up and spying on Jordan. This can get pretty dicey, there’s a lot she hasn’t told him and what she must do in order to still keep him safe. Well her mom find her is the question. No cliffhanger.. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
True love never ends, I absolutely loved this storyline. Fantastic read with characters that have a tumultuous history and outside involvement from a not so very nice person. It was wonderful to see Ella making her own decisions with the support and love from Jordan. This J-squad is full of surprising moments, but I really like that they all have each other’s backs.

...or is it third time's the charm? Jordan and Ella have a crazy and explosive past and the present shows they are still just as explosive. But outside forces ripped them apart the first time, can they finally escape those keeping them apart? Your heart breaks for Jordan and Ella, for the time they lost and the pain they suffer now, but I love that they finally beat the odds and get their chance at forever. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
I really enjoyed reading this story about Jordan and Ella. It was a sad day that Ella’s controlling mother threatened to ruin Jordan’s career unless she tied the line. This is the story how Ella finally stood up to her mother and had her happily ever after with Jordan.

Ella is finally standing up for herself ... At her wedding day. She just wants to be happy and that is not with her groom. She still loves Jordan and hopes to get a second chance. She finally frees herself from her manipulative mother. But will Jordan take her back after a decade apart?? Second chance lovestory with a sweet HEA🥰🥰 Not my favorite one ,but that's just me 😉
Jordan and Ella have the sweetest second chance at love story in the newest edition to the Guardian of the North series. When Ella flees her wedding she immediately runs to Jordan the only man she's ever loved. I love how they get a second chance. A wonderful read as always from this awesome author.
This was a really cute second chance romance. Ella and Jordan were torn apart by her mother 20 years prior, and when the wedding her mother pushed for comes, Ella backs out and runs to Alaska to see if there's still any hope for a future with Jordan. It's a really nice short and sweet novella, and I have really enjoyed this series as a whole so far.
It might be time to look at moving to Alaska. If Ms. Hart is correct, that's where all the hot, hunky military heroes retire to! Jordan is the latest to make the move....time to pack my bags!

Kali Hart has outdone herself! The picture she painted of Jordan and Ella was sexy and sweet. They were perfect together. Their explosive chemistry sizzled and sparked right off the pages! This is a charming story with a delightful happily ever after!
Entertaining second chance love story and great addition to this series. Scorching hot read with great chemistry. Some angst but HEA is in the stars for our couple. Satisfying ending and nice set up for the next book.
