This is a wonderful collection of stories about brave women who left their homes in the East for a variety of reasons to travel by wagon across the wilderness in search of a better life and a new home in the west, knowing they would never return leaving family and friends behind. They faced unknown trials and hardships as they crossed the plains and mountains and many suffered tragic losses along the way. It took tremendous strength and courage to overcome the hardships and survive the treacherous journey. Indiana Wake captures the spirit of the era in this very well written collection.

What a wonderful trip back in history!
I loved getting to know all the characters in these stories. I felt a part of the lives of these people that took a giant leap of faith to cross our mighty nation and begin new lives. This courage and tenacity that these people had is remarkable. This is a wonderful set of stories. I am so glad to have read it!

What a good read!
I wasn't sure what to expect when I started this series of stories, but the author knitted the stories together in a magical way. They could be stand alone, but so much more was gleaned from the stories by reading them together. I'm rather sad to have finished them.

Wonderful Collection of Stories!
I loved everyone of the books in here! What a wonderful way to keep the families connected and growing throughout the years. It was hard to put down even though I had to. Everything was so detailed that I could picture it all. Well done Indiana Wake, as all your stories are!

This is the most enjoyable mega book set I have ever read. It was so well written that I couldn't help but enjoy adding to the enjoyment was they were all previously unread stories for me.
