Something restless stirs below.
Four years after the Shadow Man, Riley Winter has grown into a confident young woman. She works with her dad at the bookshop and enjoys her job as a paranormal investigator. All seems well in Minley Falls until one night, Riley wakes up in the middle of the woods, cold and injured, with no memory of how she got there or what happened to her. She doesn’t feel the same as before, either. She’s weak. Sick. An invisible evil has fastened its claws around her, eating away at her body.

4.5/5 Stars.

This is book two in a series I've quickly grown to love. The story continues four years later following the traumatic events of The Shadow Man. Everything seems to be looking up for the group of paranormal investigators until one night, Riley wakes up in the middle of the woods with injuries and no memory of how she sustained them. What's worse is she seems to be getting weaker day by day and no one can explain why. Sensing it's something paranormal, Rudy along with James, Daniel and Stella investigate the source and uncover a sinister motive and a past that won't stay buried...

From book one, I have LOVED the way the author writes her characters. They each have their own personality and quirks that makes you love them even more. The dialogue seems so relatable and authentic; like they could be your friend. You know a book resonated with you when you miss the characters once the book is over.

The story itself was tension filled with moments of shock and suspense. It's got supernatural elements mixed in with the occult and the living dead. While I was able to predict a revelation early on, I still found myself flipping pages and finishing this book much quicker than usual. I'm not a huge series reader so it says a lot when I'm looking forward to book 3!

Thank you to the author for an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was excited for the next part of the Celeste series to come out and it did not disappoint!! Received this book as an ARC for an honest review. It continues on with the story of Riley Winter, taking place 4 years after the events of the first book. She is found walking on the side of the road with no recollection of what happened or how she got there. Strange things start occurring once more, but this is something unlike Riley and her friends/family have ever seen.

Cognet's writing ability is beyond incredible. She has the perfect attention to detail that tells a compelling story while also not diving into too much exposition. I loved this sequel so much and looking forward to Part III.

Book 3 was just as good as the rest but this time it was emotional! Amelia is quickly becoming a top author for me as her books have never disappointed me. I'm trying to write this as fast as I can so I can move on to the next book. I have to know what happens next!

I had the pleasure of reading Celeste Book 1 The Shadow Man last year. This is how I came to fall in love with Riley, Rudy, and James. Book one blew my mind and here come book 2, blowing my mind all over again. This book kept me on the edge of my Kindle until I finished it! I couldn’t stop reading it! I was even reading it in the shower!! Do yourself a favor and read this book! Read the first one also! Both of them sucked me in! Amelia is a beautifully gifted writer who has an amazing way of telling a story. If you love horror/thriller books, then you need to read this!

“The ‘actually’ might not have been the best word to use. Riley has always intended to keep working with her dad. As well as going treasure hunting with James. As well as being paid to help whoever needs to have their house rid of a ghost, or worse, exorcising someone. And that scares Daniel. He trusts in her abilities, but the demon from her old house, the one that came back years after to possess her, could have killed her. He hates the idea of her getting close to these shadows willingly.”

I was intrigued when I discovered there would be a sequel to Ms Conget’s first novel. Penning a sequel to any story must be a challenge and this book certainly didn’t disappoint. Six Feet Under is set four years after the events in The Shadow Man.

Riley Winter has grown up and wrestled with some pretty harsh and sinister things. I think she’s a wonderful leading female character, head-strong passionate but fragile especially when it comes to the people she cares about. She works with her dad, enjoying her job as a paranormal investigator. She’s living life and everything seems to be going well until Riley wakes up in the middle of the woods severely injured and has no recollection of what happened to her. What has invaded her?

Cognet delivers a powerful punch to the sequel where the main characters and the important relationships are tested to the hilt. Check out the Celeste series especially if you’re a fan of the paranormal, supernatural, YA fiction and characters with special abilities. Thank you to Amelia Cognet for sending me an eARC copy! Well done on the story!

Wow! I've been looking forward to book 2 of this series and Six Feet Under did not disappoint. The whole story is based on a terrifying mystery that is slowly revealed as you progress through the story. Probably one of my favourite parts was when a person who lost her memory realized that her throat was raw like she'd been screaming. It was just such visceral imagery and I felt so invested in the characters. The whole novel is a high tension thrill ride from minute one with twists and turns that kept me gasping.

Highly recommend.

This is an incredibly intense continuation of the series. Cracks begin to form between characters and horrifying situations emerge. It's rewarding to see how strong and powerful the main character really is in this story, especially when put in worst nightmare situations. Anxiously awaiting to continue on with the series.

Still kinda hokey, but I'm interested enough that I want to see how it will play out. But seriously, what 21 year old boy calls his girlfriend, "My darling." I cringed every time I read it.

A.Cognet seems to love to install efficiently the setting only to torment her readers with her plot … and I’m here for it
