For the Brockdale pack, mating wasn’t just for pleasure or even for love. It was for survival.
Kole West has problems. Ones he thought could be solved by finding a mate. Preferably one with some experience, who could satisfy his unique, and often insistent, urges. But when the matchmaker chooses a delicate human female who’s never been touched, he doubts she will be able to understand him—and his issues—enough to bond. But whether he likes it or not…
She is his to claim. And his only.
Aria is a breath of fresh air. As brutally honest as she is innocent. Kole wants to be the man she thinks he is. Even if he can’t, he’s definitely going to be the one to ensure she’s properly acquainted with all that a male can do for her. Now is his chance to show Aria he can be the man she deserves: someone who cherishes her body… and soul.

This was another sweet and sexy fated mates shifter romance by P. Jameson! Both Kole and Aria thought they were broken and unlovable until they meet each other. They find acceptance, love and peace in the other with a little bit of hesitancy on Kole's side. I wish we could have seen more of the action, but I'm looking forward to the next book! ♡
3.5 ⭐ This is the only way I'm reading a 'Virgin FMC' novella.
I usually don't like the virgin heroine trope, since it always feels like it makes the fmc seem meek and ashamed of herself and her sexuality. Not in this book, though! Aria is perfect example of that trope being done right, and it ties together perfectly with the mated pair trope.
Kole is desperate for a mate. He feels himself growing increasingly worst, his wolf physically and mentally begging him to find their mate, and his libido always takes the blunt of his wolf's force. When Aria arrives to Brockdale, Kole knows in an instant that she's his... but he also knows that he could never treat her the way she deserves, since she's 'untouched'.
Now the whole untouched thing would otherwise bother me if it wasn't because of Aria's POV. Her reasoning and explanations made total sense within the story, and she was so free and unashamed of her body or her lack of experience. I think this might be my favourite 'virgin fmc' book I've ever read!
Shifter adult romance is my jam. Meaning my personal favorite in the adult romance genre novels... But I haven't found many really satisfying pnr's in this sub sub genre of adult romance books 100 pages and under... But I'm liking this series VERY much, I'm two books in, and although this author is new to me, I see she's not a new author; I'm just late to discovering her paranormal romance goodness, and I'm excited to binge the rest of her library! Loved the fist book, and loved this one too! For those of you who are both fans of PNR but also sometimes prefer a sorter, low angst, low drama, but still spicy, I highly recommend these books...
(Side note: my top favorite PNR series is high heat and not low angst plus its 4times the length of these, but I guess that's the trade off, it starts with Feral Sins, Phoenix Pack series by Suzanne Wright, but like I said its in-depth and high heat high everything, length included, I haven't found a shifter series in this genre's shorter length novels, that I felt I could fairly compare it to, until now I think.. And that's HIGH praise!)
*WARNING* intended for mature readers This is a short one, so Insta love was expected. Beyond the Insta love there is sweetness and love. The female lead is a virgin, but only because she was never attracted to anyone. What I like about this book is it shows that females can also have an over active libido. The male lead feels he's broken because his libido is "out of control". It's great that this one shows that a female can be the same and openly ask for it. The female lead is an amazing character. The grasshoppers still give me a little giggle, just because.... The other thing about the series is that the wolves are afraid of the grasshoppers. I won't spoil it by talking you why. These books (so far) can be read as stand alones. I would recommend reading them all, just so you don't miss the interesting characters.
Another low angst fun novella with a great couple. With the matchmaker's choice made, Kole and Aria acknowledge that they just need someone to take a chance on them. I loved how both were unafraid to be authentically themselves in the process of becoming mates. Fav Quotes: Oh, just have my heart already, woman. All of it. Damn. There was no coming back from this.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - I can't stop daydreaming and telling everyone about this book. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - A great read with all the feels. I would read again. ⭐⭐⭐ - I liked the book but wouldn't it read again. ⭐⭐ - Usually in the DNF pile or I suffered until the end for whatever reason. ⭐- Just no.
Kole was constantly annoyed by the need for sexual release. He was grumpy and tired on using his hands. Aria was from a big family. She was part of seven children in her family. She signed up to be matched with the shifter program. She needed to be first in her life, to be seen as a whole person. She was inexperienced in a sexual nature of being with someone. She was matched with Kole. She read his file, but didn't know anything personal. When the alpha announced Kole to be the match, he was stunned. His sexual needs were great for someone not touched before.
3.5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐💫 HOWL TO LOVE is a sassy, quick read that’s filled with a lot of hot, steamy insta-love and a bit of exciting alpha wolf, full-moon action. Kole may have thought he’d never be able to find a perfect match, but he’s definitely met his match and then some in Aria. Theirs is a fast-paced relationship that goes from warm to hot in a flash, but even though brief, there’s a lot of appeal in this story that makes it a highly enjoyable read, leaving you anxious to see what’s coming next. 😍
Another short story but follows from book one. The main storyline is the pack needs mates because they can not shift on a full moon (that's new) and they are at war with the grasshopper shifters (yeah really) but a female grasshopper shifter is friends with the pack and is helping the alpha bring human mates to meet the pack.(how do she know how to find there mates? Must be a talent the grasshoppers has?) I wonder if she is the alphas mate? I thought this book was to much about sex and being a short read was not much to it.
A fast and sexy read full of action, I am just addicted to this series already. I mean, Kole was kind of a douche in the last one, but he redeemed himself in his own story. Aria was a wonderful breath of fresh air, and she was completely underestimated, but I think that really speaks to how little of her background is really given about her, except that she comes from a big family and loves yoga. I loved that they were so evenly matched and how they bonded right from the beginning of this story.
This adorable little novella is cute and perfect if you want a quick insta-love book. Aria is a moon-eyed girl, and Kole is a horny wolf; of course, they belong together. I have a soft spot in my heart for protective love interests, and this did not disappoint. I do wish that there had been a little more editing because there were awkward sentences and phrases.
I loved this story. Parts of it had me laughing, especially when he underestimated her. She was his perfect match, in every way. I liked her upfront honesty, thereby getting his honesty as well. Not just his honesty, but his love. I love this series!! Keep them coming!!
Kole and Aria finally found what they were looking for in each other. Two halves of a whole completed in a forever kind of mate bond. Oh and the prologue with Ansen and Winona woo hop. Now their story, can't lie, I want it like NOW!!! Please? Happy writing.
Honestly couldn’t tell you why I’m enjoying this series just know that I am. Each couple were very different and it’s pretty light reading. Also insta-love/mate. Pretty good. The grasshopper shifters are strange bc I simply can’t picture a human sized grasshopper but it’s still a pretty good overall concept of the wolf shifters being weaker w/o a mate
A short and sweet book about fated mates falling in love. If you are looking for a light, quick read you can finish in a day this book is perfect. It does not contain a lot of world building or plot, so if that is what you are looking for, I would say skip it. However, the romance is sweet and worth your time if you want a mini-mental escape.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story as much as the first one in the Apex Mountain Shifters. Kole's weakness makes him grumpy. He never expected that he would be the second wolf matched with a mate. Aria is so bright and sweet. She seems to meet each day and each experience with joy and a sense of adventure. She is perfect for Kole. Such a delightful read, I can't wait for the next story!
Kole doesn't think he'll find a mate who can meet his insatiable needs. Aria is inexperienced, but feisty. They make a great pair, with her bringing him true joy for the first time in a long while. The war with the wolves' mortal enemies (grasshoppers!?) has started. Now it's on!
5/5🌟 Honestly I didn't like Kole in the first book because he was such an asshole but in his own love story. He was a sweetheart. I guess with his jealousy it was hard to see the good in him. Aria was his perfect match. ALOT more spice in this one. Very instalust and instalovw. Very little on the conflict war that was going on.
Omg Kole and Aria are adorable together!! I really enjoyed this story! I’ve read a couple of these stories now and I feel there is a lesson to be learned in all of them; honesty, understanding and respect are the lessons of their great relationship! They both felt they had a messed up part when in fact they just needed each other to fill the void!
I really love reading books with strong, quirky females. This one didn't disappoint. Excellent series so far, I have preordered The next one. Can't wait to see what happens to Hank.
Mates matched again. This is another sweet tale of broken mates that fit together to fix the brokenness. It is very hot and the underlying story is getting tense. I can’t wait to hear how it all comes together with the next match.
Amazing storylines in this series loved the characters and the storyline so it's a well deserved five stars and I would recommend this book to everyone as I couldn't put it down
Kole was a walking hard on. His wolf always wanted it. When he met little Aria who was untouched he was sure she wasn't built for him. Unbeknownst to him, he was totally wrong. Great read
Kole and Aria don't look like they would fit on paper. Their experiences in life and love are at complete ends of the spectrum, yet they fit perfectly.
I love how accepting Aria is of Kole's "issue" and instead of being against it, she embraces it.
This was a wonderful addition to the Apex Mountain Shifters. I very much enjoyed Kole and Aria's story. This book gave me the perfect escape I needed. I look forward to more in this series!
I wasn't sure I liked Kole in the first book, but I did in the second. It was a good enough story, but it seemed a little too predictable, but the "action" seemed a little glossed over.
Kole should have apologized to Quincy and Amber for the way he acted when they mated. I thought for a minute he was going to make things hard for his mate, but turns out she was his perfect match. She didn't let him get away with trying to turn her mind against him.
I've read all the books in this series so far except the 6th one and this story was my favorite. I just loved the story for Kole and Aria. I wouldn't mind reading more having to do with the two of them.
Cute and very well developed characters that you can’t help but love. A storyline that keeps you involved and enjoying it until the end. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
