Style: Shifter/Paranormal Romance Story: 4/5 Enjoyment: 4/5 Dark Level: 1/5 Sexual Level: GOOD Triggers: No Violence: Yes Male: Dominant Series: Book 3 of 4 Pages: loc.563 Audio: N/A Kindle Unlimited: Yes
STORY: WHAT I LIKED: This keeps getting better as the story continues. I love the way Paxton keeps fighting and pushing for Eden and of course, Eden is still pushing back and fighting. We kind of came to some sort of break through, but of course, here comes the drama and na sayers. Part 3 had more physical action and we saw a bit of interaction with others. I really find myself enjoying this story and the characters.
WHAT WAS SO SO: It’s like a damn soap opera that ends at the good part and you have to wait to see what happens. I would have really loved to enjoy this story in one shot because the waiting was annoying, especially if it’s something you find yourself enjoying.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY I liked their sex scene, it matches the intensity they were feeling in the moment.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: We saw more interaction from others in the pack, but briefly. However, since they keep accusing Eden of magic over Paxton, I thought we would see more of Eden’s best friend, Luna.
OVERALL: Was I entertained? Yes. Did I like the story? Yes Would I read the other books in the series? Yes. I almost wish this was a series for other characters.
TRIGGERS:
****I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read. I based my book reviews on my preferences and what I like, and while these preferences may not be the same for others, I hope this review was still helpful.
Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Note 2: This is a series, please read in order. Eden is the first book. Mate is the second book. Bond is the third, releasing March 9, 2022, Home is the final book, releasing March 30 2022.
Trigger Warnings: bullying, drug use, assault.
This is again from Eden's full point of view -but still contributing to a short steamy and action packed novella.
Eden gets closer to Paxton as time passes, and they're on the run for answers. But when Paxton's parents ask for him, shit goes down, right? Horrible wrongfully down.
Regardless of the tragedy and trauma Eden - with her being placed in foster care at age 10, after losing her parents in a car crash, and then never being accepted by her pack or mate for being anything but a full wolf - Eden shows that she is not gonna lie down and take it from anyone and forges her own path and will to keep movin on. Now, that's what you call a role model.
And hot damn that plot twist - it's left me on all edge about how Eden and Paxton will navigate the rough waters to be completely together forever. Ugh, Darcy Rose, you just love torturing me like that, don't you? I hate you haha.
Anyway, loved this action packed, steamy and heavy novella - and eagerly awaiting for the final book in the series - Home - releasing March 30 2022. Where all shall be revealed.
And yes believe it or not - the dates are not skewed. I did read all three short novellas in one night - which would equate to 20 chapters in a normal book because hot damn these books are addicting- so a damn cakewalk for me. Hence why my patience slipping minute by minute for the final book.
Hopefully I will survive till March 30, 2022. Pray for me til then.
I'm not hiding spoilers cause you should never be reading this book anyway. What a shitty turn of events .... So get this, he basically kidnaps her and locks her up in a bomb shelter and refuses to let ger go.... and then proceeds to say "she's in charge" She tries to leave and this bitch assaults her And after all this crap she just forgets him? Hello... self-respect, we've never heard about it And omg this bitch she's like our "love" blinds us...yeah no shit. I will be reading the last book just cause i wanna know what happened
“Bond” is the third part of Eden and Paxton’s story.
The hero finally “convinces” heroine to accept his mating bond and then return home to the place that’s extremely dark and unaccepting of her. Am I supposed to enjoy this??
Review : Paxton and Eden never had an easy life. With Paxton rejecting her without an explanation, turned her already painful life into something worse. That is until he saw her again. Until he realized that there was so much more to his mate than what he was told. And rejecting her might be his biggest mistake. But it was too late. Eden already hates him and wants her own life. She does not want to be with him and convincing might be his biggest victory ever.
I liked this book. The series is going good, although each book is not more than a couple of chapters so it's clear that the authors have split a general sized book into four parts 🤣 But I am still loving it! I needed a good rejected mate's romance and this was it. Although I wish that the heroine did not have the usual body betraying syndrome and resisted the hero for some more time.
That ending was shocking and now I am excited for the next part! Definitely recommending this one to all the rejected mates shifter romance lovers out there.

Bond de Darcy Rose serie Sacred Hill Rejects libro 3
Argumento:
Okay guys, let me start with dis: Paxton is a disgoooooosting ass bitch🙃
He not only kidnapped his "mate" (which is disgusting enough btw), he also sexually assaulted her and was like "WhY aRe YoU fIgHtInG iT, yOu KnOw YoU wAnT iT tOo"
...And people say romance is dead...
All jokes aside, i felt like i was in a criminal minds episode, cause it was dat disturbing.
Like the Male lead was so convinced that his mate would fall in love with him over time and accept him as a mate, AFTER HE BULLIED HER FOR YEARS, THEN PROCEEDED TO KIDNAP AND SEXUALLY ASSAULT HER. You know what dat sounds like? Imma give you guys a hint-Stockholm syndrom.
I don't know what drugs the author did, when she wrote dis series, but lemme tell ya, IT'S DISGOSTIIIIIIING. It could've had so much potential (e.g. when the female lead stands up for herself and tells the ML dat she doesn't want him- not like many other mate shifter books, where the FL falls in love with the ML, when he's suddenly nice to her after years of ignoring/bullying).
Everything I wanted the last two books (Eden & Mate) came true this time around. Picking up a few hours after the last book we find Eden waking from her quasi abduction locked in a dimly lit underground bunker. Maddox claiming it’s for her protection. And this little bit of forced proximity couldn’t have played out better for the couple.
Unlike the last two books I found myself connecting with both characters through a single POV, Eden’s. There was enough dialogue that I was never left wondering how Maddox was handing a situation or feeling in the moment. Part of this may be through their growing mate bonds but I think it was overall represented better this time around.
And even with all the happiness this book brought me I was devastated by the cliffhanger. The Sacred Hill Wolfpack truly is a toxic group that needs to be culled in some sort of way. Never have I despised a group of people as much as I do them.
🚫 NOT a standalone MUST read Eden & Mate to understand the story 🚫 🐺 forced proximity 🐺 oopsie… I kidnapped you 🐺 underground fighting tournament 🔥 rough dirty sex 🥰 public acknowledged of his fated mate 🤬 damn cliffhangers I tell you
I feel like Eden turned into a completely different character in the middle of this book (before that, even). Just when she has the most reasons to hate Paxton, that's when she decides to give in, and it's not even because he has changed his attitude: he still doesn't respect her choices, he still dismisses her feelings and abuses the physical pull he has toward her because of the bond. She lowered her expectation drastically in the blink of an eye, forgetting what she wanted and why she wanted it after they sleep together. I really hate bbs as a device to move the plot forward. It's very clear the pack still doesn't like her, but suddenly she doesn't care anymore. She also stops caring he kidnapped her very early on. I am not sure whether I want to read the next book at this moment. I kind of want to know what happens now, but their relationship is not interesting at all anymore
I hate their pack so much. These people are terrible & I honestly don’t know how they are ever going to make up for it. I think they should both just leave. I will say Paxton is growing on me, I hate him a little less after this book. Looking forward to final book in this series!
Whoa! The author really has sucked me into this to then throw me into another shock and left me hanging. I don’t even know what to think. Just when I think Paxton and Eden will have their day, BAM! Something else happens.
THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE STORY- THIS IS PART 3 of a 4 PART STORY.
***REVIEW FOR COMPLETE 4-PART STORY****
Eden had one shifter parent and one human parent, which wasn’t considered acceptable (not pure blood) in their wolf-shifter pack. With that attitude I don’t know why they stayed with the pack as I assume all 3 were treated with much hostility, but we never know because the book starts when Eden turns 18. She starts the book by saying she was severely bullied, starved and mistreated since her parents died 8 years ago (hence my confusion because it really seems like everyone would have bullied her forever since she’s never been pure blooded). But let’s ignore that and move on….
The second Eden turns 18…POOF….MAGIC…..Eden and the alphas son Paxton are both overcome with a WAVE OF FEELINGS for each other. I hate the arbitrary “magical midnight on the 18th birthday” thing in any book (just to make the sex that occurs consensual between 2 ADULTS🙄). But let’s ignore that and move on….
The entire pack, including her mate Paxton continues to bully and reject Eden. Paxton is and has forever been a complete jerk/ bully/ a$$hole to Eden and nothing has changed since becoming her mate. But let’s ignore that and move on….
Eden leaves the pack to go live on her own but Paxton chases her down. Paxton, who still believes their mating is a mistake because “some witch MUST have put a spell on them” because NO-WAY could Eden ever be his mate (blah, blah, blah…). So he does LOTS of even worse things to Eden but now feels justified “BECAUSE OF FEELINGS”. But let’s ignore that and move on….
In the end Paxton doesn’t care if it’s a spell or real, HE decides to keep Eden and the book ends.
What does Eden want?
It apparently does not matter “BECAUSE OF FEELINGS“.
So Paxton and Eden hate each other but fate has chosen them to be mates so now they are together BECAUSE OF FEELINGS and the years and years of abuse and neglect are swept under the rug with no apologies “BECAUSE OF FEELINGS”. The end.
Haha! I know it sounds like I didn’t like the book BUT I kinda did. The plot, while insanely crazy unbelievable, kept me hooked. The hate sex was off the charts (I wanted way more though). And watching Paxton learn more about the pack’s treatment of Eden, made me want to give Eden a big hug (and kick Paxton to the curb, but again….hate sex😉).
I felt like the story needed fleshed out more. There DEFINITELY needed to be MORE ending to Paxton and Eden’s story. We DO NOT GET A HEA. We get optimistic talk of a future potential for a HEA, but Eden and Paxton HAVE A LOOOOONNG ROAD AHEAD OF THEM IF THEY WANT A FUTURE TOGETHER. There could definitely be another book, just to give a satisfying conclusion to their story. But let’s ignore that and move on….
There also seems to be spin-off potential with another fated mate coupling, that would tie into the imaginary next book but nope…. It would definitely help wrap this story up more since the new couple leaves with Paxton and Eden to go off and create a new life together (and start a new pack?)🤷♀️🤷♀️
What a great read. The angst, the torment, the pain. This book by all the bully and rejected mate notes, for me. Definitely nothing I’d ever want to experience or would wish on any living being, but in this book was a page turning read to get us to that much deserved and hard won HEA. Readers of these tropes won’t be disappointed, I think.
I do enjoy Darcy Rose and really liked Sacred Hill Rejects. Looking forward to more from this author and crossing my fingers for more in this world.
Another quick book to read before bed. Man the cliffhangers, makes me want to loose sleep to continue reading. Can't wait to see how this one ends. Though first there are some pack members that need their butts handed to them, maybe rejection from the pack and living a loners life would be the most fitting. Definitely going to be reading more from this author.
Her Books are very short. Cliffhangers abound. Then last book. Is somehow not available? Unless you are willing to wait a along time. Seems that money has corrupted this good author.
Paxton offers her everything she desires and deserves, a safe happy life in the pack with respect and happiness...... Eden is once again hurt and broken and betrayed....how much more can this poor girl take.
This was a pretty good book. I would recommend it. Paxton and Eden can't seem to catch a break. His friends all say they have his back but they don't. They all still hate Eden.
Had high hopes that things were going good for Eden but I guess mean spoiled people can never except things going against what they want. Hope things get better.
