Ivy
When my mother, who suffers from mental illness, leaves my brother and me in the care of our grandparents, my life changes dramatically. Being raised on a large ranch, loved and cared for, I had a great childhood with them. With my grandparents passing, though, things changed. My brother and I have always had a difficult relationship, but it only gets worse now that he’s in control of my life.

Working at an animal rescue, FurEver Homes, I have become friends with a few of The Devil’s Angels members and their families. When a member of their club steps up to help me get free of my brother’s control and abuse, I accept it gratefully, but I want much more than that from the tatted biker with kind eyes.

Pigeon
Watching Ivy on the security cameras at FurEver Homes, I’m intrigued and amused by her. She’s young, too young for a jaded, somewhat older biker, but that doesn’t change the fact that watching her with the forgotten animals calms my soul. When I spot obvious signs of abuse, I step in.

Spending time with Ivy, her strength and resilience only impresses me more. This young woman is fighting alone for her future and her dreams of starting a therapeutic riding center for kids. Her dream to help others shouldn’t have to come at such a high cost to herself. I make a promise to her that I’ll do whatever I can to help her succeed, but none of us saw the road that promise would lead us down.

I've really enjoyed this series so far but this one just didn't do it for me. There were way too many characters trying to take over the book and it pushed Ivy and Pigeon to the background too often. I don't even think they interacted until sometimes after 20% and they certainly had no romantic scenes until 50% or so into the book. It made the story feel jumbled trying to weed through all the side characters and mentions of other things that happened in the past.

Also I'm pretty sure I've said this in a previous review but the birds are just ridiculous at this point. I love animals in books but it was like the animals were their own characters and then the birds talking like humans is still very weird for me.

The Devil's Angels are back with Pigeon's story! Wow! A lot of things going on in this story. Could you read this as a standalone? Possibly. For background information, it would help to read the other books beforehand. We meet Ivy and she seems to match up perfectly with Pigeon. While not much could be said in the previous books about Pigeon, his personality really shines through thanks to Ivy. Naturally, the gangs all here from the previous books. Also, the next book will be Chubs! The previous Chubs isn't the same in this book. It's so great to have another book from an extremely talented and funny author. I can't wait for the next book. If you're looking for an HEA, no cheating, humor, and the best animals ever---this is your book!! By the way, Prissy rules!

Ughhhh.
In my excitement for a new release from this author, I read this book too damn fast!! Now I have to wait, probably months, Again, for the next release.
AND. To make matters worse. It’s gonna be my most anticipated book of the series!!😩😭
I am so mad at myself right now for not dragging this book out over a couple days.
*sigh* 😒 Anyways.

I loved this. Obviously.
The gang was all here, all the animals and the kids and the giant toddlers pretending to be burly bikers.
Plus, this was a little extra special because we got to meet a Ton of new animals, and have the dynamic change a bit to include them.

I really loved Pigeon and Ivy and how everything progressed.
It was a bit of a slower burn. It took a while for the characters to even really meet face to face, let alone finally get together. But it was so worth it.

Ivy is going through a lot at home, and she can’t get away from it without sacrificing her animals and her dream. Add to that, after she tends to chores and the animals at home, she spends all day or night going into the shelter and taking care of all of the animals there, too.
Pigeon is living the bachelor life, content to stay single and make fun of his club brothers and how they act about their women. But he’s also getting a little obsessed about watching the security feeds when Ivy works at the shelter.
When Pigeon finally introduces himself he sees a glimpse of what she suffers at home, and immediately things start to shift inside him.

I really enjoyed watching them find their place beside each other.
I also really enjoyed the sex between them, though I wish we got more than, like, one and a half scenes, and some major fade-to-black moments. What we did get was teasing and playful and hinted at Pigeon liking to edge and get a little dominant, and I would’ve liked to have explored that way more. It was also playful and fun and super passionate.

There were a couple things that got either brushed over or just plain dropped without explanation, that I really wish we’d gotten the full scoop on.

First off, probably the least important, and hopefully something that gets rectified in the next book somewhere in the background, Rex getting back at Reeves and Pigeon for the prank they pulled. I wanna see him get even, dammit. That’s the whole fun of it all. But again, not really important, and hopefully Rex is just biding his time and we’ll get to see the revenge unfold in the next book.

Second, Pigeon’s family calling to meet Ivy. We never got to know what the hell they actually wanted and how they found out about her, and I’ve got conspiracy theories galore, in my head. Again. Not really all the important, just a disappointment that we didn’t get closure on something that caused me great suspicion.

Third, finding out what the hell the puppy thieves wanted with the poor babies. Not that I really Want to know, but morbid curiosity demands I have an answer.

Fourth, Dale. What the hell was his deal? There was sort of a set up for him to be much more of a part of the story, but after a couple small mentions and hints that felt like foreshadowing, he’s just dropped and never mentioned again. Obviously, he’s not really important to the story, but the way the guys reacted to him I expected there to at least be a conversation had with him about manners. Something. But no. Craig points it out, Pigeon thinks about it for a few seconds, and then something distracts them and it’s never brought up again. Again, super disappointing to have that loose thread.

Fifth, there’s a thing that happens with Ava, and it’s just sort of happening one moment and then not the next with zero mention of it before or after. I understand Petey handles it, but I really wanted a tiny bit more, it was sort of random and anticlimactic the way it all went down. Obviously you won’t understand what I mean by all of this if you haven’t read it, but just know, it wasn’t very satisfying with how short and fast it all was.

Sixth, the final, big thing, that happens at the end of the book. We only really get half of the story. The first half Ivy tells people, but we don’t get that conversation on page, and I guess it wasn’t necessary since the evidence of it was all over her, but I guess I’m just morbid like that, because I really wanted to know more details.

Obviously, none of this detracted from the story so much that it affected my love for the book. I still enjoyed reading this, immensely.
I’m just angry at myself for reading so damn fast, and if you’ll notice, all of the things I mention are things that, if added, would’ve expanded the book.
So really what you should take away from allllll of that, is that I wish there was more.

Simply put, I wish this book was much longer.
Like 800 pages, or even 1000.
I want to know Everything.
Every little detail about every single character, critter and human alike.
*sigh*
I just love this series and everything about it, and I’m SO excited to finally be getting the one member of the club who’s been such a mystery, but such a fantastic friend to all, have his story laid out and explained.
I want it now. 🥺

I’m so glad I reread this whole series.
Now that I’ve reread this one I get to pick up the newest one! The one I’ve been anticipating for forever!!
*sqeee!* Chubs!
I’m so freaking excited to finally be in his and Lucy’s heads!

I love this series but I think Pigeon and Ivy are my favorite of all of the couples! Pigeon was willing to do anything to help Ivy. Her grandparents left her their ranch in their will but there were stipulatilations that Ivy's brother got to control.

The whole Devil's Angel crew came together to help Ivy. As always the guys pranked one another and there was even more animal craziness in this installment. We got more information on what was happening in the Chub's book but it's still mostly a mystery.

This is a series that I never want to end. I love the family feeling that you get from this MC. I know a lot of them say they are a family but this one actually acts like one. I have fallen in love with every member , the women, the kids, and their pets. It's a feel good series that shouldn't be missed.

So Good

I was swooning over Pigeon, worried about Ivy with her brother and crying from laughter over the antics especially with Tessie's driving, OMG so funny.

Let's not forget our new queen Prissy!

Ivy is has such a good soul and wants to help all animals and disabled children. Pigeon wants to keep her safe. This club, I want to be part of they're so close and will do anything for ones another.

Bring me Chubs!

Loved Pigeon and Ivy

Pigeon and Ivy’s story was so sweet in the romance department, dark in the plot department.

There are some rough things to read about in this one so make sure to check your triggers.

Pigeon does a little light stalking in this but it’s so sweet. This romance definitely began before the two even truly spoke. Also, some fantastic news on the Taja and Vex front and I was so happy to see it.

HOLY MOTHER OF BOOK LOVERS!

I ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY LOVED, LOVED, LOVED THIS BOOK! I LOVE THIS WHOLE SERIES! Lola never ceases to amaze me. I can read this series over and over and never get tired of it. I have never laughed so hard in my life reading a book as I have with this series. Lola's description of her characters are so clear that it's as if you're reading about people you know and with each book you just grow to love them more. She makes you feel like you're part of the Devil's Angels family. Pigeon's character was kinda hard to get a read on in the beginning of the series but with this book and getting more in-depth into his background it makes it easier to understand him and to love him. Now, Ivy. I absolutely adore her character as much as I love Lucy. Poor Lucy, my heart is breaking for her and with this epilogue I'm even more worried. What if Chubs loved someone from his old life and she's not willing to give him up again. I definitely think the epilogue was about Chubs. Ivy is so sweet and has a heart the size of Texas. She's so kind, and caring and considerate to everyone. Hell, she doesn't even treat the weirdo that stares at her badly. I don't think she has a mean bone in her body unless someone's hurting or abusing an animal or another person. You can't help but fall in love with her character. She brings a kinda softness to Pigeon's hardness and he gives her strength and safety. So many times I was hysterically laughing the crying laugh and a few times I was in tears of sadness and fear. This book is an emotional overload, at times it's like riding an uncontrollable rollercoaster ride. I loved every freakin minute of it. Oh, and the sex as usual is set your crotch on fire smokin hot. All the new additions to the family and little Luke, be still my heart, When he rides the horse the first time it was so heartwarming I cried again. Lol. I wish that when Ava's blast from the past shows up that Petey would have let Trudy in on it. Lol. Nothing like a mother bear protecting her cub. Lol. As always Craig steals the show. He such a smart little guy and freakin hilarious! I think they should have his IQ tested even if it's just so he can tease Axel. Lol. It was also touching finding out more about the other kids and how they've grown. The twins, talking. Oh lets not forget Mac and now Prissy too. We didn't hear much about Loki or G. though they did still get a mention. I wish the Aunts would have been more involved too. I EXTREMELY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES TO EVERYONE!!

hmmm…

I mean this was a good enough addition to this series but I think for them past couple of books, any fan of this series has really just been waiting for Chubs’ book and if we had had that first, we might have been better able to focus on Pigeon and Ivy’s story. This age gap romance features another animal-mad heroine with an abusive older brother who’s more or less oppressing her and feeding of her labour till she meets Pigeon and the rest of the Devil’s Angels MC members and her world changes.

I liked this overall. The characters were likeable and once again we get the ensemble cast of past characters which is always nice. I feel like more could have been done regarding Pigeon’s relationship with his parents especially since they were coming to town and some sort of twist was implied that never came to fruition. Nevertheless this was fine and it’s good that we actually finally get Chub’s story next.

I really liked these two main characters, not sure exactly why but I did. There is a slight age gap but not a lot. This did feel like it dragged on a bit at times. Ivy, the h, works at an animal rescue and owns a ranch. You get animal knowledge you don't really need. This series is filled with pets of all shapes and sizes. The humor at times seems a bit over the top. But, I did really like this one

Said it before and will say it again …

Too many characters! Series needs to conclude with the next book. The kids and animals made this book somewhat palatable. Otherwise it was slow, boring and convoluted.

OMG

I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!! Every time a new books comes out I put what ever else I am reading down.

Ms Wright has created an MC that takes care of business but at the same time giving us laughter. A bunch of grown ass men always pulling pranks at each other, animals that make us laugh so hard we cry happy tears to kids who are more adults then adults, plus powerful women.

Pigeon, life growing up was not easy , same can be said for Ivy’s. Ivy was working and trying to keep her grandparent s ranch alive.
Pigeon watched over Ivy while she worked and slowly falling for her sensing she need his help.

In true DA form the brothers, wives and children come help and the brother's taking care of Ivy's abusive brother.

Axel in this book falls in live with Prissy the bird which gets Mac upset another bird because Prissy ignoring Mac. Craig a child seems to be more adult then his aunts and uncles. Ivy and Pigeon get their HEA. Now the question is where is Chubs. HAPPY READING

This is my least favorite in this series. There's a lot about the main characters but there was too much about the side people..... this is just my opinion. This is Pigeon and Ivy's story. This is also a bit of an older man and a much younger female
Ivy works at the ranch from before the rooster crows and then off to a shelter for animals for money. The ranch is to be hers either when she gets married or turns 25. Her brother is determined to not let her get it. He's a piece of skum.

Spoiler ahead

I am glad they got together but I didn't feel like it was a real match.... felt like something was missing. Could just be me. I thought this was a complete series but I was wrong.... there's at least one more book.

As good as I expected

I’ve been waiting for the right mood to come up before I started Pigeon and Ivy’s story and I am glad it finally happened.

I didn’t read all the books in this series so it was all a bit confusing at first but I managed. I found Ivy to be a sweet, strong and relatable FMC. I also loved her relationship with Craig who, let’s be honest, is going to rule the world some day. Pigeon was a good counterpart and I appreciated how protective he was of Ivy.

I would have liked for Pigeon and Ivy to have a bit more interactions so they were on a more equal footing at the beginning of their relationship though. But it all worked out great and I really enjoyed this story.

Lots of laughter and family bonding with more serious moments. I would recommend.

Deserves way more than 5 stars

Holy hell has Lola Wright outdone herself with this one.
Pigeon and Ivy's story is a hell of a ride, and is down right hilarious, I have not laughed that hard at the antics of the brothers and the animals in a long time, their banter gets better and better.

Ivy has lived under the beautiful of her brother for a long time in hopes that soon family Ranch will be heard whilst working part-time I'm at an animal rescue Ivy has come to love her position and the intakes the rescue gets.

Thanks to Ava and Gunner, Ivy has come to know mist of the brothers in the Devil's angels and one in particular Pigeon.

Pigeon has been part of the Devil's Angels for as long as he remember, leaving his religious parents behind.

Pigeon is task with watching at the surveillance cameras and most importantly the pet rescue. Pigeon finds himself hooked on watching the carefree rescue helper that serenades and connects with each of the rescues intakes.

As the couples chemistry collides the Ranch and Ivy's life seems to take a dark turn.

ALSO WHAT A WAY TO TEASENUS LOLA...

I have a feeling that Chubs book is going to suck us in, destroy us before then put us back together again lol.. CANT WAIT

Loved all the angels.

Great continuation of series. Pigeon and Ivy were solid and Ivy is an amazing addition. Loved seeing all the kids growing and pets being added. Perfect amount of angst and drama without being over the top. Poor Mac. Miss P will make him work for it. Craig is a genius. The family Lola Wright has formed is amazing and I thank her for sharing her imagination.

So good. Love the comradeship between the brothers.
This book has it all, but get your hankies ready for a heartbreaking scene. The humour in this book is magic and found myself laughing out loud on several occasions. Ivy is a gentle soul but has determination. Pigeon is devoted to Ivy completely. No other women drama and angst which was great just a great story.
