I love a good Darcy and Elizabeth variation, and I have read some decent steamy versions. This is the best of the books I have read from this author. There are numerous typos and missing words. The author even refers to the Bingley sisters as Darcy's sister in one point of the book. This author's work is not on KU, and each book costs about $3.99 and up. I recommend you don't waste your money.
Although skirting with much improprieties in words and deeds, Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet never went beyond kisses and lustful touches, which puts this steamy variation apart from most of this author’s other work.
When Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy are found in the library in Netherfield by the Bingley sisters, the Bennet sisters are forced to return home earlier than Canon. As Elizabeth leaves for the comforts of home, she suffers from uncertainty, confusion and longing for Mr. Darcy after their stolen kiss. At the Netherfield Ball, it is the machinations of one jealous and cunning Caroline Bingley that forces Mr. Darcy to act that encompasses a future with Elizabeth Bennet. What may have been doubtful feelings for each other were erased after Darcy saved Elizabeth from being ruined. Elizabeth, thought fearful for Mr. Darcy’s lack of affection and true feelings of desire and love for her, felt relief and unimaginable happiness after receiving the proposal she so hoped for.
That the author waited until the lovers are married and alone together for the intimacies and consummation to occur is hardly a scandal but it fits the time and is appreciated. The scandal referred to in the title refers to when Darcy saved Elizabeth, after they were discovered by Mrs. Bennet, Lydia Bennet and Lady Lucas in a most compromising position, colouring and disposition.
Warning: Meant for mature audiences. Contains scenes of intimacy that would scandalize the ton. Readers of a delicate constitution are advised to keep their fans and vinaigrettes close at hand.
It was so enticing that I couldn’t put it down, this book grabbed my interest from the very first page. I couldn’t put it down, I had to know what happened next. The story is well written with a very good storyline. You will see the most beloved characters in a whole new way. This is a steamy Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice variation. This is part of the Seasons of A Steamy Pride and Prejudice Variation series. This story has an unlikely friendship, and a scandalous attraction. Will Mr Darcy be Elizabeth’s ruin?

So with all that and more this story pulls you in and holds you tight. It’s a must read. I highly recommend to everyone.
Loved how the plot moved quickly (maybe clunky in a few places) really loved the POV chapters (& our FD is def a man of his time in elitist character) and adored how ODC found their way to each other (& shame on CB!). Minor, but appropriate married erotica was appropriate for situation & rather steamy. Enjoyed this quick read
