Cat

He’s a savage Fae, and I am Druid—two races at war with one another.
I have every reason to hate him.
To fear and loath him.

But fate brought us together.

He is the very last man on earth that I should want.
Yet, I find myself needing him in ways I never thought I’d need a man.

Fen

I have known nothing but survival for centuries.
Until I met Cat.

She made me remember what it is to live—gentle and innocent when I am harsh and unforgiving.
Now that I’ve tasted her sweetness, there’s no turning back.

If I had any honor left, I’d stay away from her.
But Cat is mine, and I will do anything to keep her.

I would kill for her.
I would die for her.

**While this book can be read by itself in theory, the majority of the world building and character introduction takes place in the first book of the series, Curse & Craving.

Author's Note: This story was originally published as part of The Fae Games Series but has been substantially rewritten. This urban fantasy romance novel is for adult audiences.

Blood and Breath is the 3rd book in the Of Myth and Man series. While the first two books were more action packed,  this one was more emotional and had some triggers so please check the warning.

This was Cat and Fen's story and we learn quite a bit about them both in this novel.

It was interesting to see how Fen was adapting to this new world and I enjoyed seeing how his relationship with Cat progressed. These two were both likable characters who had excellent chemistry and I was rooting for them throughout the tale. However their HEA was not a straightforward one as there were quite a few unexpected twists in the story that they had to overcome.

This novel was well-written and engrossing and was a great addition to the series. I enjoyed it and would highly recommend it to lovers of fantasy romance.

And it just keeps getting better. I loved this book. This story had so much emotion. I raged at the injustices and rejoiced when good ultimately prevailed. It's a story of people who are willing to sacrifice for the sake of those they love.

This is Cat's (Catriona's) and Fen's (Fenodree's) story. We meet Cat and Fen in book #1, Curse and Cravings, where we learn something of their backgrounds; who they are. The have a few brief appearances in Book #2, Venom and Vice, which ultimately sets the stage for their story in this book. It is necessary to read the previous books in this series in order to understand not only this world, but these characters and their histories otherwise some things may not make sense and/or you will lose the full import of events. If you've read the first two books, this one will grab your interest from page 1 and tighten it's grip as you continue reading. You will find it hard to put down.

We learn a lot more about both Cat and Fen in this book. We begin to realize just how strained Cat's relationship is with her fearful mother and how Cat struggles to keep her own truths while trying to maintain a relationship with her mother. At the same time Fen is dealing with adapting to a new world, changes since leaving the shadowlands, and avoiding exposure that could result in the loss of his new found freedom.

I loved both of these characters. Cat is sweet, loyal and loving. We also learn just how strong and resilient she is after her kidnapping and all she endured. Fen is strong, stoic and pragmatic. He has survived alone for centuries in harsh conditions and has finally won his freedom. He is taken with Cat's loving and generous way. When Cat is in danger he will risk everything, including his freedom and very soul to save and protect her.

The road to their HEA is filled with hills and valleys and your emotions will be up, down, up, down! You will laugh and cry, be angry and content, sad and joyful! There are some surprising twists in this story and this series...characters changing what they are, kidnappings, brainwashing, magic and political intrigue, in the fae court as well as among the druids.

I highly recommend this series to all fans of PNR/Fantasy romances, but especially to fans of Monings Fever Series. While these are totally different stories, they have that Fever vibe! Love it and so looking forward to the last boo, especially after that epilogue setting the stage for the next! Can't wait to meet the new Knight.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. But you should know I have already purchased books #1 and 2 and have pre-ordered this one as well as book #4 for my library

Where the first two books in the series were action-driven this was solely based on the purity of emotions and their manipulation. It's a hell of a ride for Cat, a human who has knowledge of the existence of Fae and the magic of runes. Fen is an exiled Fae rescued from the Shadow Lands who is trying to adjust to the human world with all its new technology. The thing I like most about Cat is that she doesn’t form opinions just on hearsay and she’s headstrong in her beliefs.

There are trigger warnings, I strongly suggest you read them before diving into the book. In a few places, the story is in such a dark place that not many can move forward with it but I’ll say that’s the whole thing that shapes the backbone of the story. A lesson is learned from the story if a person sees it in a proper condition. I loved the story and enjoyed the chemistry between Cat & Fen. At so many points I wanted to throttle a few characters and was glad by the ending that Justice was served.

This series just gets better and better. I absolutely love Fen & Cat’s story. Two characters that you will never forget. What Cat endured was absolutely brutal and no one should ever have too go threw what she has. Fen will do anything too protect Cat. Truly an amazing read and omg the ending I need BK 4 ASAP.

Blood & Breath is the third book in the Of Myth & Man Series and dare I say it but it might be my new favorite! This series continues to surprise me, keep me on my toes and literally going through ALL the feels! Cat and Fen's journey was a bit different then the rest... one full of trials (𝑝𝑜𝑠𝑠𝑖𝑏𝑙𝑦 𝑠𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑔𝑔𝑒𝑟𝑠, 𝑠𝑜 𝑝𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑒 ℎ𝑒𝑒𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑟𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑠), heartbreaking moments, loads of slow burn and one undeniable connection between an unlikely pair. I could NOT put this book down & I cannot wait for book four --💙

Blood And Breath is book three in the Of Man and Myth series and is Cat and Fenn's story. I was not not expecting this book to do the 180 that it did. Fenn and Cat really deserved their hard earned HEA and I can wait to see what happens next.

Blood & Breath by Jill Ramsower is the unusual, unexpected story of Fen and Cat. She is a Druid. Cat’s friend helped Fen escape from the Shadowlands…and asked Cat to assist him become re-introduced to the human world. But, there are lots of things working against them…in the background. Some things are ruthless and shocking!!

First story I’ve read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it!!! Different world, unusual approach….thoroughly captivating story!!!

I am volunteering to leave a review for an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

4.75 stars! This series just continues to get better an better! In this book, we get Fenodree and Cat’s story. It’s beautiful, heartbreaking, and hopeful. Fenodree is learning to adapt to his new reality after Becca brought him to Earth after hundreds of years in exile by Queen Guin in the Shadow Lands. As he rediscovers the simple pleasures he had forgotten he was missing, he begins to realize that even though he survived the shadow lands on his own, living a solitary life was far lonelier than he ever realized. When Becca shows up at his door for one of their weekly check ins with Cat in tow, his entire world is thrown into a tailspin.

For Cat, her entire life has been lived in secrecy, hiding her Druid heritage and family from the world, believing the Fae were evil and would only bring war and pain, especially if they found out the Druids still existed. But now that the secret it out, and the Huntsmen, and all of Faery know of them, and seem content to live peaceably, Cat is hopeful that she might be able to live a more normal life. Her best friends, Becca and Ash, are Fae, and she finally feels like she fits in somewhere and can be happy. When Becca asks her to help with Fen as he adjusts to life on Earth, she’s more than happy to assist her friend. She never expected, the gorgeous, intriguing man she meets would change her world forever. Though she has to go to him in secret, knowing there are some who still wouldn’t approve, Fen and Cat get to know each other, growing closer and closer with each visit.

Unfortunately, prejudice and fear still filter through the veins of Cat’s Druid community, and those who she thought she could trust, those who were supposed to protect her suddenly become the only thing in the world she is most afraid of. The horrific trauma Cat endures at the hands of her so called family is devastating. It’s dark, depraved, and terrifying. I was so engrossed in the story, desperate to know how far it would go, and what was going to happen, that I found myself not wanting to put this book down for anything! The relationship between Fen and Cat is sweet and full of chemistry. Both are navigating through their own different challenges, and yet, in each other they find strength and peace. It’s a wonderful story of moving past your fears, finding the strength in yourself and in others, and trusting your heart. I absolutely loved it.

Book three in the Of Myth and Man series follows Cat and Fen, a druid and Fae that are supposed to be enemies at war with each other. However, the two are brought together by fate and their lives will no longer be the same because of it.

The first two books in the series were more action based while this one is more raw and emotion based. Cat and Fen have an emotional story that just completely captivates you. Seeing them progress in their relationship while Fen and Cat learn to adapt, was truly engrossing.

The story, as always, was well written and the plot was exciting and intense, with characters you could get invested in. I am 100% a fan of this author after this series and can't wait to see what happens next!

I loved this book! This series just keeps getting better! I love cat and fen they have gone through similar situations. Though fens were of longer duration . Now cat was betrayed by her own mom and mind control is horrible I’m glad fen helped her through it. This happy ending to this book I loved even though it was hit with a cliffhanger for the final book in this series . I can’t wait to see what the final installment cooks up.

𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒓 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒆-𝒂𝒓𝒄.

Blood and Breath is probably the heaviest book in the series thus far (trigger warning for this book), and I'm not sure if I enjoy it or not.

When it comes to the writing, it's not much different from the prior book, which I hope was a lot more fascinating and easy to get into.

The plot was slow and didn't feel like it was building up, therefore it was anti-climatic and dragging for me;

I didn't care because the characters weren't likable to me, which was another disappointment.

Overall, I thought this was a letdown. However, I would read the next book because it is about Knight and Morgan which I think is something I would like judging from its premise.

WOW! Blood and Breath was one hell of an intense, dark and gut wrenching story. This one was definitely darker than the first two books in this series. It had me completely and utterly riveted to my seat, gasping at the atrocities happening right before my eyes and gutted over what I was reading. The story was written in a way that evoked all kinds of emotions from me. I laughed a bit, cried a bit, but ended up doing some screaming and shouting too!

Phenomenal writing with so many little twists and turns that keep you in suspense right to the very end. I loved it and can’t wait for the next book in this amazing series!

Copy received from The Next Step PR. Voluntarily reviewing and all opinions are objective and my own.

I didn’t love this one as much as the others. All in all, it was okay. Good. A continuation of the characters I’ve come to love so much but it didn’t hook me in the same way the others did. I wish I knew why. Maybe the characters, maybe the story, idk. The spark between the characters felt more forced in this one than previous books.

I do know I really look forward to the final book. Characters I didn’t think would be featured are, and that dog…

This is my favorite book in the series! It's a bit darker than the other and it got me right in the feels! I'd say more suspense than action (but there is still action!) and the romance is so sweet and tender! It's the best!

So far, this has been my favorite book in the series. It started off great and then I got angry. If you read it, you will understand completely. The epilogue was bittersweet for Cat and Fen. I just loved the two of them and I’m so happy they found each other. Now onto the last book in the series.

Great read!

This one was hard to put down. Cat falls hard for Fen, but her mother doesn’t approve. She needs to fight for her life.
