Siege and Seduction

Morgan

Captured. Shackled and powerless.
I was imprisoned on a remote estate, a wolf stationed as my guard.
I’d nearly given up hope of escape until the beast became a man.

A glimmer of hope surged to life upon his unexpected transformation.
Hope of escape.
Hope of revenge.

Because men are malleable. Predictable.
And this one’s going to set me free, he just doesn’t know it yet.

Knight

I’ve been ordered to watch her. To ensure she doesn’t escape.

But I’m torn.
She holds the key to something I want.
Something outside of her cozy prison.

I never thought I’d be disloyal to the man who saved my life, but I need answers.

She thinks she can escape me once we’re outside these walls.
But without her magic, she’s no match for me.

Once I get the answers I seek, she’s going right back in her cage.
Where she belongs.

**While this book can be read by itself in theory, the majority of the world building and character introduction takes place in the first book of the series, Curse & Craving.

Author's Note: This story was originally published as part of The Fae Games Series but has been substantially rewritten. This urban fantasy romance novel is for adult audiences.

Jill is a Texan, born and raised. She manages the hectic social calendars for her three active children and occasionally spends an evening with her dashing husband. Aside from being an author and a mom, she's a travel junkie and loves to read when she is not lost in her own stories.

With Jill’s books, you can count on confident heroines, plenty of steamy tension, and deliciously assertive leading men. There are no guarantees in life, but with her books, you know everything will work out in the end. However, a perfect ending would not be nearly as satisfying without a seemingly insurmountable challenge. Jill loves to add plenty of adversity in her stories, creating unforgettably dynamic characters and sneaky plot twists you will never see coming.

This is the 4th and final book and a truly wonderful conclusion to the Of Myth and Man series.

If you've followed this series, you'll remember that book one (Curse and Cravings Rebecca's and Lochlan's story) beautifully wove the King Arthur legends into this fae world the author created in the Of Myth and Man series. Book two, Venom and Vice (Ashley's and Casek's story) dealt more with Ashley's transition, her developing relationship with Casek and the dangers they all faced from the escaping unseelie as well as from their adversaries in faery. Likewise, book three, Blood and Breath (Cat's and Fenodree's story) dealt more with their developing relationship and the threats to Cat, not only from her misguided mother, but from a deranged druid. While there are some visits to faery in the 2nd and 3rd books, most of those stories took place in the human realm of Earth.

This final book, Siege and Seduction, tells the story of Morgan Le Fay and Knight. (If you've been reading the series, right now you're asking, "Knight?". Yes, Knight! Read it, you'll see.). First let me say, unlike books 1-3 which grabbed my interest from the very beginning, it took me a bit to get into this book. I have to admit, there was a reason for that. In every Arthurian legend or story I have every read or seen in movies, Morgan Le Fay has been portrayed as a villain, an evil person. In deed, in book one of this series, she is the villain and main protagonist in the story. As such, I was a little reluctant to get invested in her so it was a bit of a rocky start for me. But I promise you at about 20% you will be seeing another side to Morgan Le Fay and many truths will be revealed. All is not as it seems.

This book brings you back to the magic of Faery taking place mostly in that realm with magical beings and a quest with challenges to meet before the goal can be reached. It also brings you back full circle to the Arthurian legends woven into this Faery world revealing some new elements that will tie all the pieces together. With so many twists and turns and truths revealed, by the end of this one you will be team Morgan. Surprises await that will delight you as this story unfolds. Definitely another hit for Jill Ramsower.

I love all of Ramsower's Mafia Romances (Five Families series), but I have to say, her first foray into the fantasy realm with the Of Myth and Man series is a resounding success and I hope she will venture into that world again because I loved these books.

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review, but please note, I have purchased every book in this series and the one has already been pre-ordered.

Siege and Seduction is the 4th book and the conclusion to the Of Myth and Man series. I really enjoyed this series and I loved the nod towards the legend of King Arthur and I loved how it author put her spin on it.

Morgan has been the villain from the first book so I couldn't wait to see how she was redeemed. Well the author did a fantastic job and Morgan wasn't the villain we all thought. There were so many unexpected twists and turns in this story, most especially Knight, I never saw that coming.

I will admit, the story was a bit slow at the beginning however it eventually did pick up and the author takes us on quite an adventure. All the questions from the previous books were answered and some of the revelations were jaw dropping but it all ties up perfectly to give us a satisfying ending. I enjoy it and would recommend it to lovers of fantasy romance.

After reading all the books in the series, I was excited to come and learn about Morgan (the villain) that why she did what she did, and the reasons behind her actions. It’s a therapeutic story to get to know the answers I was seeking and I’m not disappointed. Even if in the start it’s a little slow-paced but it’ll not fall into that category. It’s a fast-paced story that places everything and every person in the right position to spring up the action in this story journey. I’m in awe of the revelations the story made and was not expecting the major ones. I’m glad to have read it. It’s written beautifully with a lot of action.

The character Morgan is not the villain we all thought she is and the Knight is not the wolf-dog we see around in the last two books. His transition shocked me and made the entire story even more interesting and the past that he has completely forgotten was even more shocking and lovable at the same time. They both are equals in their minds and strengths. It’s hilarious to see them banter with each other. Merlin, the great sorcerer, is the sneaking manipulative thing who changed the course of many things over the centuries. Being a seer gives him that privilege. Overall it’s a good read and a perfect resting conclusion for the series.

Siege & Seduction by Jill Ramsower is the story of Knight and Morgan. New take on the medieval classic. He is a wolf serving Merlin. She is in search of a magical cauldron. They set out together to find it.

Not a huge fan of this particular time period….but, the story was good!!! Liked the drama…the unexpected shocks, and everything leading up to the surprising conclusion!

I am volunteering to leave a review for an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I wasn’t sure how Morgan would be able to redeem herself. Morgan will definitely surprise you that’s for sure. I kinda of figured what was going too happen and still I was hooked. Knight I was so ready to finally know what his story was and what a story it was. I really enjoyed Morgan & Knight’s story and the ending couldn’t have been better. I will definitely miss these characters.

Siege and Seduction is the final book in the Of Man and Myth series and this is Morgan and Knight's book. I was kinda skeptical about this book but I was surprised by some things and kinda underwhelmed with others. I still enjoyed reading this book and series and I can't wait to see what's next.

This was an absolutely fantastic ending to what has been quite the thrilling, and highly entertaining series. It was exciting, suspenseful, action packed, captivating and had some twists and turns towards the end that I had no freaking idea were going to happen. The story once again kept me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails with anticipation and shocked by each and every curveball the story takes.

Morgan and Knight’s relationship blew me away. The shocking secrets and insane revelations that these two continue to throw at us, kept me in a state of unexpected shock and delight. I absolutely loved these two together. They have such fantastic, and hilarious, back and forth banter that kept a smile on my face. And undeniable and intense chemistry that could not be ignored.

Morgan shows us that not everything is as it seems.

Really well written conclusion that kept me completely captivated the whole way through and had an ending that was utterly satisfying.

The final book in the Of Myth and Man series is an absolute knock out, following the story of Morgan Le Fay and Knight. Morgan is imprisoned and Knight is guarding her, but she may have answers to questions he has, and it is causing him to question is loyalties.

In every Arthurian legend, Morgan Le Fay is the villain, and even in book one of this series she was portrayed as the villain. But with this book, we get to see a different side to her and who she truly is when not being looked at through the opponent's scope. She's smart, witty, and can hold her own against anyone. Knight is her equal in many aspects and they are a pair to he reckoned with.

I hate to see this series end, but this book ended it on a high note, leaving no questions left unanswered and leaving us with a fantastic spin on Arthurian legends.

Another great series comes to an end

Another great book in the ‘Of Myth and Man’ series. I can’t stop reading Jill Ramsower’s books and just recently finished this fantasy series.
The story takes you through the ups and downs of Morgan and Knight the wolf.
The characters from the previous books in the series return also to make this the epic end to a great story.
Mentions of characters from long ago such as Merlin, Guinevere and others are woven masterfully into the story.

Copy received from The Next Step PR. Voluntarily reviewing and all opinions are objective and my own.

And thus concludes Jill’s awesome new fantasy series and I think she ended this off amazingly. There were so many twists and turns and a romance that nearly melted my iPad. It was a fun read and I look forward to what more Jill has in store for us.

Loved this entire series and what a way to end it ! The right person in place of power. The journey to obtain an object that freed the minds and ailments of a few . Everyone from the series band together to stop corruption and everyone now has they’re happily ever after. Woohoo!

I loved this book as much as the last three. I was worried I’d have a hard time with it since we were lead to believe Morgan was bad. It was so funny when Knight turned back into man and got so excited and licked Morgan like a dog would. I’m so happy with how the series ended and that Morgan and Knight got their HEA. Also happy Guin was taken out, she always seemed evil. I will miss this series.
