When Ethan offers to help her expand her business, she can’t help but wonder if he might have feelings for her too. But as misunderstandings threaten to push them apart, will either of them work up the courage to make a move before it’s too late?
Meanwhile, Jesse has been behaving strangely, and Addison is worried that he’s keeping a secret from her. But what could it be?
This funny and uplifting women’s fiction series features a cast of characters you’ll want to revisit over and over. If you like stories that explore the beauty of second chances, the importance of family, and the healing power of love, this is the series for you!
Found it ironic that the group of friends that ran a visiting author out of town for basing her newest book on their lives and misfortunes ends up being the main characters in a book being written by the main character in this book by Baker. Dialogue in this second in a series was way too syrupy for my taste.
Booorrrring!! I am sorry to say that, especially when I paid my hard earned money to read it.
What happened, Miss Fiona?? The story went nowhere in particular. I thought, perhaps with the introduction of a villain, the story would actually go somewhere instead of making a tiny U-turn.
I realize there are 7 books in the series- I realize your goal is to make a living - and great for you if you do. But I have to tell you- you have lost me as a “customer/reader”. I do not want to read and pay for 7 books just to get one story that comes to me the way my first grade reader gave it to me - “Run Spot run! See. Jane go’.
Anyway, I gave the book 2 stars because it is well edited and at least when I read your book, I am not tripping visually over typos, bad grammar or misspelled words. Thank you for that.
So. While I like a read that relaxes and is sweet - I am done with reading your books. I even enjoy going nowhere once in a while- but that’s usually in a car - I don’t want to hope through 200 pages and be disappointed. Your characters are likeable- your villain almost got there - but your story line was like the Little Engine that Could- but was so busy taking a nap - that it didn’t.
I read this author's Marigold Bay series and loved it! So it was this series that I started next. The characters were very interesting, and the stories were wonderful! I just couldn't put it down! Read it - you will connect with the characters and their lives!

I gave this one a chance because I felt like the first book was a feel-good one, just like watching a series episode.
This one, however, disappointed me a great deal.
The dialogues are repetitive and very cringey. Real-life people don't talk the way the characters of this book talk. Their POVs are very childish, as if they are in high school instead of being in their 30s. At least eating is not mentioned in every chapter here, but there's a whole-ass script where an entire cooking and plating process was described, which is not significant to the story, to be honest. With the mention of cooking details, this might as well be a cookbook. lol
Too bad, as someone who doesn't DNF books, I will be forced to finish the whole series.
I wasn't in love with book 2 of this series. Not sure if I will finish the series. Lots of time spent talking about love between the characters made the story move slowly and not much was accomplished. The characters also seem a bit immature in how they handle conflict and they become easily defeated. If I try book 3 I am hoping for more.
What a delightful book full of hope and love in this small beach town . The characters are strong and support each other in their time need good or bad times . Highly recommend this uplifting and inspiring story
I wanted to leave a 5 star review, came back today to check and it was 4 stars with no words. I love a good clean roam e with good people facing normal problems and working them out!
This is another very good clean romance. I am really enjoying this series. The characters draw you in and make you want to be part of this community. I can not wait to find out how things end for the friends and their mates.
A perfectly balanced story with romance, family love and support. Everyone reaches out to support their spouse and their friends. It is a loving relationship for this whole group and makes you happy just to read about their love.
Another great book in this series!!!! I love catching up with all the characters and following their stories. It's like having coffee with friends and catching up. So good!!!
Not much character development in this one. I'm surprised that the "villan" in this had such a small character. It was okay, I'll keep going with the series.
