Cutest and most dorky couple I’ve ever seen in any manhwa! At first, it felt a bit cringe, but the storyline and characters developed in such an interesting way that I was thoroughly engaged the whole time. Overall, it was really a fun read.
Re-reading season 1, at first still feeling cringe over the duke calling songbird thing but more following story till end of season 1 the development so really good. I really shipping Erin with the Duke.
you know, it's been a while since i read this one, so i forgot how horribly atrocious it was. after subjecting myself to a re-read, i can say, with confidence, it's worse than i remember.
truly, where do i begin with this one?
i know i say this about all my dumpster fire reviews, but it's true, all of these books are generic and boring. actually, this one isn't really that generic or boring. it's just infuriating.
let's go over the premise.
so basically there's this like duke who goes to fl's house and tries to kill her, which is sexy, but then some random magical spell that's cast makes him go all ugu uwu i love you for her and that's basically it. that's the whole story.
something i was thinking is that he's kinda being held against his will bc of this spell. so like does he REALLY love her? the answer is YES! because it's #trulov! and then he lowkey kidnaps her. but it's ok because he LOVES her! it made me wanna lowkey die.
the fl is INSUFFERABLE. i think her name is noel but i might be wrong. her name doesn't matter because she has some of the worst chemistry with an ml ive ever seen. basically she's only with him because of the convenience of the magic spell and then somewhere along the line she starts to fall in love with him but she gets CONFLICTED because shes like "do i love his real self or this like uwu ugu persona" and then the duke (who i also forgot the name of) who can turn back and forth from his uwuness to his real murder is sexy self, ALSO starts to fall in love with her because OF COURSE.
by the way, the magic is like... not really explained. they kinda just nuance that her mom is like a wizard or something? it's very confusing and not at all explained, which honestly, was better for my mind because this one gave me brainrot.
sorry this review isn't as long as my other ones. i really just don't have a lot to say about it. the characters are the main driving force of this whole story, and suffice to say, they do not carry the story. they are both like perfect beings or something that just love each other. honestly not even the art can redeem this one bc the art was pretty mid
This took me a while to figure out- Do I like this? Do I hate it? What do I think?? Well, I love it. Seriously.. It took me a second or third read to get to that conclusion.
First, its unique when compared to the likes of Survive as the Hero's Wife, or Why she ended up at the Duke's mansion, or Suddenly became a Princess/ Daughter of the Emperor, Doctor Elise, and just so much more. This isn't about reincarnation, or returning to one's original world, changing the original plot of the story; You Are You Doing This Duke? is simply about surviving an unwilling husband that you magically made bipolar! The story is actually funny, not with as much banter back and forth as Raeliana but still, it has many comical aspects. Eren may not be the smarter of the heroines I've read but she's adorable, caring, emotional, timid at the beginning but slowly coming out of her shell thanks to the duke's, her husband's, somewhat support, nagging to act more like a Duchess with dignity or confidence (she nags him too but more to annoy him). She's very self reliant even though she puts herself in certain situation and there are many misunderstandings, but for those outside of the Eren/ Rowan relationship. Although many readers from what I've seen seem to agree with Rowan that his foreign wife is a bit clumsy and a bit dim; I tend to disagree. She isn't educated like a noble (illegitimate low noble daughter treated like a slave or commoner) or knows any etiquette but she's scrappy on certain occasions, hard working. When Rowan gives her assignments, she completes them, and at first, she was self conscious about them, but slowly she started to grow into the responsibilities of a Duchess (whilst still trying to weasel her way out of certain situations) or learning about certain materials, history Rowan tasks her with.
Slowly, they start having feelings and caring for each other, unlike those from the magic spell. A few antagonists are introduced, as well as the mystery of the spell that made the Duke fall in love with his songbird Eren. Eren is also a book worm for weird and romantic books haha.
As I said, a reread was totally and completely worth it.
Do I recommend it? Absolutely! It's like a magical comical version of Stockholm syndrome!
It was so weird in the beginning like, "Noooo, this is so weird! What did I get myself into?" weird.
And then it gets better like, "Holy crap! That was so funny!! What is wrong with these people rofl!" better xD
3.5 stars
It's so cute and funny and and I can't stop OMG-ing its so effing cute and fluffy! And while I love the name Rowan and pretty much hate the nick Lex, the H will forever be Alex to me!
In the beginning, I thought it was about this dude and his harem... I hated it BUT I WAS SO WRONG!!! I don't even know why I thought there was a harem included!
Rowan (AND HE LOOKS JUST LIKE THE ROWAN WHITETHORN!!) and Erin are just the best couple ever!!!
Ahhh this is adorable!! Erin is so adorable I can'tttt. I don't easily give 5 stars for manhwas, but this definitely deserves a 5!!! I love everything about it, the art, the story, the characters, the chemistry between the leads and everything!! Highly recommended!!!
Re-reading this and no. The FMC is annoying, dumber than a bag of rocks, clumsy and insecure. The MMC is physically perfect and his biggest flaw is that he’s “cold”, yet still has more personality than her.
Still better than “Under the oak tree” and “How to win my husband over”, so I’m giving it 2 stars.
The bar is lower than the Hades, since Dreux is not abusive as a husband, and Noel actually *tries* to move the plot along so I don’t hate it (I can’t believe that’s the bare minimum for these.)
Now, for those people who are not much of fantasy readers, this one could be an unusual isekai, maybe even weird. But this is one of those webtoons that never fails to give you good laugh and raise your spirit. Both of the characters are the embodiment of kawaii, so this is a fun and lovely read.
The story sways constant between angst and fluff, never fully committing to either. The art is perfection and the chibi panels are beyond adorable. I actually really liked the protagonists despite warring opinions from my fellow readers. Definitely an engaging read.
I get that he ends up liking her anyways but let’s be honest, if this was written in his POV it would’ve been a psychological thriller/horror. Imagine having the control over your body stripped away from you and not knowing how to get it back. Insane stuff

compared to other manhwa i can't give this a 3 but it's still a fun read to laugh at. the duke was the epitome of cringe and I didn't really like the turn that happened near the end so maybe 2.5/3
Fl is the illegitimate child of a gypsy woman and a count in the enemy kingdom of the ML. So, our ML, The Duke, conquers the FL's country and is on the killing spree of its nobles. The FL's family who has never treated her well, runs off, leaving the FL behind. When the ML is about to kill the FL, a magic circle activates and the ML becomes bipolar! lol >.< that's what happens. The ML becomes bipolar - he begs the FL to marry him for days on end - to which she finally agrees as he goes on hunger strike.
On the marriage night the Duke (ML) realizes what has happened after they have consummated their marriage. He slowly understands the situation he is in. His whole staff loves his new transformation & respects the FL. However, their marriage is not real to the ML or the FL, especially the FL who has lived oppressed her whole life without anyone caring or loving her. But love is mischievous and life is more so.
Will they both fall in love with each other eventually & find a way around the magic that got them together in the first place? Why is the Crown Prince so angry?
**I read this online translated into English, but there's no official release for it. This applies to all my ratings/reviews to the series.
I was looking up info for another series on Goodreads and this was recommended on the side, and as I wasn't really doing much else decided to check it out right away with no info besides the front cover. Which was maybe for the best because I'm not sure I would have read it if I had. I had a different idea of what it might be about from the cover. But I acknowledge that I'm the one who didn't look up anything about it first.
And while I'm not sure I would have read it based on the short summary, I did think it was interesting enough to keep reading it.
Was caught between loving the story or hating the story. But I ended up loving the story.
First, this is fun to read especially the antics between the characters. I find the female character's annoying at first, as she still hard to do everything just to save her life. But then, during the time that it was Dreux's turn to regress, I loved how he did everything so that she can love him again.
I liked also how they also included the side characters in the story, which made the story more fun to read.
And as a Tarot Reader myself, I also love how they included it in the story.
Eh...
Why did it take me 3 days to finish a manhwa volume? I don’t know, shush.
This is definitely different but also similar from other manhwas I’ve read. Like… it’s unique but it’s also clique? I’m not sure how to say it.
I was honestly worrying for the storyline when I first started reading this volume but it definitely took a turn for the best. I’m happy with the outcome and the differences from the beginning to where I’m at now.
The art is amazing, the male lead is likeable, and the female lead is likeable (although incredibly dumb when it comes to love like almost every female lead does.)
Some parts were boring, not interesting, cringy, or unlikeable so that’s why I’m only giving this 3.5 stars. Either way, there a many scenes that I LOVE! So don’t worry:)
Unpopular opinion but I think it would’ve better if they died together in the end, the amount of angst but a sense of warmth knowing they were together until the very end. It makes me feel kinda happy but sad in that sense. This was my first ever manhwa I gotta reread it but I remember really disliking the fact that season 2 was coming out.

A very adorable Webcomic, it's completed and can be read on Tapas. The story started out a little rough for me. I found the Duke kind of unlikable but I love the silver hair, so I kept at it. Eventually the Duke warms up to you and I can't love a better ML! A very sugary sweet webcomic.
Me gusta, aunque...
