Nova Connors is incredibly intelligent and wholly innocent. Her entire life has been dedicated to her studies as a physics scholar and not much else. So when she's offered a position as an offensive consultant with the Atlanta Crusaders Football Organization, based on her brilliant final thesis, she and her football fanatic father couldn't be more ecstatic. There's just one problem. She has to work directly with Maxwell Garland. The team's highly arrogant starting Quarterback and he is not interested in someone changing up his routine. It's safe to say both Garland and Connors hate each other, but in truth, they need each other to keep their jobs. Can they put aside their differences to help bring the Crusaders out of their losing streak? Or will Maxwell's pride get in the way of leading his team to victory?
Read on Galatea. I loved Max and Nova’s story. Such a great turnaround for him and an amazing HEA. Can’t wait to read more about the Atlanta Crusaders footballers in the sequels!
Update: continued book 2 but didn’t see it on the list. Lolita and Andy have an amazing forced proximity relationship and wind up working through some huge issues.
Monroe and Miles have an amazing history, good and bad. When they meet again, their feelings aren’t easily dismissed and challenges work against them reuniting. A lovely HEA for another Crusaders football team member.
Not bad, but not great either. Read on Galatea for free. Very uncomplicated story. It goes from dislike to lust to love so fast. No angst, even the blackmailer problem provided no real problems in the story and it’s all resolved so easily. Easy read. Sorta sweet. I guess I just like a more developed story with some plot other than football QB falls for incredibly tiny science geek. I mean Nova goes from supposed virgin in every way - men, alcohol, orgasm - to drinking wine in the evenings and sex four times on her first night having sex, followed by demanding sex all the time it seems in a blink. Her character did an almost complete personality change which didn’t develop naturally but just happened after one night. And who plants a hidden camera and does blackmail with a poor quality photo that doesn’t show the girl’s face that you’re trying to blackmail. Makes no sense, if you had a hidden camera, there would naturally be a ton of shots to use, so once again, the author chose to make it all seem like a huge complication in theory but went the easy route in solving it. No angst, no twists, and no real dilemma to make this a solid book.
But it’s an uncomplicated read if that’s what you want, you can finish it within an hour. Will not continue book 2 even though it’s free, just not interested enough.
