Doubling Down has been on my shelf for way too long,i’m ashamed to say.
But i finally caught up,and it left me in a desperate need of a couple of cold showers,or better yet, a willing hubby to help me cool down.
Luckily,hubby is always happy to help me out….
This one’s about Casey’s friend Sarah,who had fun experimenting with foster twin brothers Simon and Jude 3 years ago.
Things went south when her parents returned home sooner than expected,and they haven’t seen eachother since.
But now Sarah’s home from college for a few weeks,and it seems it’s time to reunite with not only Casey,but Simon and Jude as well…
Because they never left town,but found a place to stay with Stacey,Max and Rick.
And they learned a lot in that time…..which lead to them inventing a very interesting machine.
And who better to help them demonstrate it to a possible investor than Sarah???
Because she was their inspiration after all….
The visit home doesn’t just help Sarah,Simon and Jude catch up and get back together,though.
She has a very good conversation with her parents,erasing her fears of them condemning her for loving both men.

This was crazy from start to finish for me lmao I can’t even yie
I just felt like I was missing some information the whole time. Possibly because I didn’t read the other books in the series. Or maybe I just truly wished to read about how they met and that first “sexual awakening”. Pros and cons of a short and sweet book.
SARAH YOU ARE A FREAK HONEY and I love that lol and you found some freaks just like you. The machine made absolutely not fucking sense to me though. I have literally no reference to imagine anything like that in my brain. So all of that was just weird lmao
Oh and Casey can kiss my ass bro. 3 years!!! And you just want to act like we’re besties again?!?! Fuck off. That was a stupid reason to get her to the club

This is a cute story with a reverse harem theme. Sarah and her fostered twin brothers Jude & Simon crossed several boundaries in their childhood home and the results ended disastrously. Skip forward a few years and they meet by hap stance and pick things up where they left off. Sarah was invited to check out the club where the brothers work and design toys for the kink minded and discovered there are many others that have the same inclination she has with double the fun.
A product display demonstration adds another player Sheridan to the reunited threesome and things ratchet up in the heat department.
While I liked all of the characters there was a missing element that I have come to expect from an OB story. There were many holes in the backstory that seemed contradictory at times. If you take away the horizontal times there isn’t actually much of a story to be honest. I did like the low angst and the ease that the characters connected with each other, so for that reason I am keeping it as a three star review instead of dipping lower.

Wow! I thought the Second Skin books were hot, spicy, sexy, and off the charts! Doubling Down was just as steamy, sexy, spicy and off the charts as well. Ophelia Bell knows how to write steamy books with multiple partners.
Sarah Nolan is finally returning home to New York after being away at college for three years. She has one more year before she graduates, but she has not been home since the summer she left for college and left the turmoil, memories, guilt, and ghosts of her young adult life. She lost so much that summer and has stayed away to start over.
Little does she know that her life will change again and all that she left is waiting for her to come home. I loved this short, steamy book of a taboo relationship and the need to explore as a young adult. It was a great read and as I have found with Ophelia Bell’s books it was very sexy and steamy. I give this book a 5-star review.

She loses touch with her best friend Casey and then moves to go to college. She returns home after 3 years. Things get moving fast, first she meets up with Casey, who is into kink with her two doms and she takes her to the local kink club where she meets the twins, her twins, Jude and Simon. From there the story really hots up in all ways... This is great story of lovers reuniting and getting their HEA and more. Lots of hot steamy sex scenes. I started on the last book first and I enjoyed it so much you can bet that I am now away to read the other three.

Although there is no explicit MM, it is hinted at several times. There is no big plot to this story, its more about the three and then four figuring out their new situation.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. The Rebel Lust Taboo series has been made up of books that hold no punches about the relationships developed between the pages. This story fell right in line with the previous ones. Sarah has not been home for a few years. She left friendless and feeling like a disgraced youth. She is returning for a special family event but also finds the three most important people from her youth. Things get hot right away as she reconnects with the men. Add in another interesting man to the mix and her life is really looking up.

'Doubling Down' is the fourth book in Ophelia Bell's "Rebel Lust Taboo" series and Holy Moley!! She's done it again! Sarah had left home for college three years ago after she and her twin foster brothers explored their kink together and were caught. Even though she's carried the guilt of disappointing her parents all this time, she hasn't been able to forget Simon and Jude or all they shared. I loved the fact that Ms. Bell brought Casey, Rick, and Max into this one and reunited the previous best friends. The renewing of the relationship between Sarah and her twin Doms was a voyeuristic pleasure but then add Sheridan, the investor to the mix and my heart is still racing.

I have not read the previous books in the series, but I do not feel lost reading this book only. But I feel after reading this book that I would absolutely enjoy reading them.
Doubling Down is a steamy hot read. I love menage romances, so this one was right up my alley and I was not disappointed. The characters in the book have a really open way with each other that I really liked.
I hope this is not the last book in the series.

I enjoyed this new "Rebel Lust Taboo" story. It is a fairly short and quick read that is steamy, sexy and a touch taboo. The story is about Sarah and her two foster brothers Jude and Simon. The summer before she started college they shared something. When they were caught it became a disaster and the twins disappeared. It had been to painful she had not returned home and they never contacted her. Now three years later she is returning home and sees her twins. This is a steamy and hot read.

The story moved quick. The spice was quick burn and the main characters Sarah, Simon and Jude needed nothing more than a kiss to forgive each other for three years apart. The sexy times were medium-level, despite the focus on a magical, orgasm-giving, f*@king machine.
The lack of doubt or second guessing of the FMC when she was new to kink left me chasing the climax but never getting there, even with the late addition of Sheridan.
All in all. A quick little read, with loveable characters and some spice.

From short novellas to extended length novels, everything Ophelia Bell writes is solid gold, and ‘Double Down’ is no exception. The chemistry between Sarah and the twins is smoking and then with the addition of Sheridan, the heat is cranked up and the possibilities are endless! I loved their invention and the presentation of it was insanely hot. Woowee, I’m in desperate need of a cold drink now!

What a fantastic read! Definitely need a fan with how hot this one is! The twins and Sarah were amazing and definitely had a lot of chemistry but then add in Sheridan and it just bumped it up more! I loved the open communication between all of them! This was a very enjoyable and entertaining story that I would recommend!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. It is a very hot reunion for Simon, Jude and Sarah after their abrupt separation. The separation wasn't really their choice and turns out the cause of it was a misunderstanding due to heated tempers. Their reunion leads to a very profitable demonstration of Simon and Jude's machine and a new expanded relationship with Sheridan who invests in them and their machine.

Lots of twists and turns. Bell knows how to tell a story and reel you in every step of the way! I loved everything about this story. These characters are tough as nails and doesn’t’ take any crap. This book goes into the main character from book 1, Casey’s, best friend story. Love how even though this book can be a standalone, if you’ve read the prior ones, you know and appreciate the other couples mentioned in two of the other books. I was not expecting the 4th person to be added at the end, but what a great surprise! This dynamic is completely different to what I’ve read related to the BDSM world in books, and it’s a nice change.

Wow 👀 is what I want to start and say…but then erotic, steamy, playful and even heart felt. This erotic story had a great plot and tied right into the Casey’s secrets books, which I had no clue tied together. So glad I read that first months ago. I really enjoy the way Ophelia writes and enjoyed the plot and HEA. The story was shorter than what I’m used to but I enjoyed knocking this story out in 1.5 days.
