终于到最后一本了（纠结要不要看养父）。我也觉得这次的攻应该不会比之前的要渣，但谁知道呢，你看俞风城就是个例子。（话说任队有点帅哦(1)唉，我看你们相差蛮大的啊...女生追男生都这么扭扭捏捏的么（我到时候追男生可不要这样啊）应该是老婆的妹妹。唉，能理解啊能理解，在危机的时候出现真的很帅好么Whaaaat 宫应弦竟然比自己的攻高那么多？！老婆你也确实太冲了，不分三七二十一就讯问人...好歹是你救妹恩人那...不对，可以这么简单掏枪的么？嗯这次的小受不怎么合我胃口...不知道是脾气太火爆了还是什么 (2)唉...曾经的消防员，现在老年痴呆...唉，而且以前越高的职位越难带...唉，要是没有老年痴呆，这世界真的会好很多，看出来任队的爸爸确实是个能人...小孩子都这样，其实就是需要关爱，并且早熟... 哈哈哈哈，看来是迷住了呀，被老婆美到了hhh（3）你这么说就不对了，再怎么说任队也是消防队的，消防队再怎么脏也是为了人民！老婆你在高贵什么？简直...就是神经病...唉... 可怜了我们年轻的同志们，这场景想想就恐怖...我擦，这个案子想想就恐怖，任队你两个月前怎么连这都遇到了?(4)

A tall, dark, and handsome ML paired with a playful firefighter MC—tell me this isn't them in the photo! 😭😭

This is probably the only book by this author that I’d confidently recommend to a friend. While there’s angst, there’s no trashy or scummy ML, no cheating, and no problematic grape scenes. I really enjoyed how the romance developed, this is one of my favorite reads from the 188 series. It comes a close second to Beloved Enemy, though, simply because I have a soft spot for needy and jealous gongs. That said, the grovel in this book was short but it was satisfying. I know I'll be re-reading those chapters again. Proof that you can write a proper grovel without resorting to noncon or dubcon.
The beginning, however, was a bit of a slog for me. I tend to lose interest when there’s too much action. I’m convinced these characters live in Gotham City because fires, explosions, and bomb threats seem to happen weekly. The MC was hospitalized four times. Like, seriously, can they catch a break? 😂

This book is easily the most action-packed out of the whole series of 188 novels. Although there wasn't much raunchiness, the extras totally made up for it.
Every chapter of Blazing Armour is intense, thrilling and had me on the edge of my seat. The mystery kept me guessing right up until the end. It's the only danmei novel where I didn't even need to read the explicit smut because the plot was gripping enough.
My dad was a volunteer firefighter, so I could picture a lot of the firefighting details. I grew up learning about fire safety too, so I could relate to it all. It made me really appreciate the bravery of firefighters, but also made me realize how dangerous it was for my dad to do that job. I'm glad he retired before anything bad happened. The novel may have exaggerated some parts, but it still rang true.
I've been through a house fire myself, so I could really empathize with the victims in the story. The panic, the fear, the uncertainty - it all felt so real. Blazing Armour isn't the best book I've ever read, but it definitely had the most impact on me, story-wise.
The character development for the main characters was really well done. I loved how their personalities stayed consistent throughout the book, but their perspectives changed as they got to know each other. It was a real bonus to see Song Juhan and He Gu make appearances in the story too, instead of just being mentioned in passing like in previous books.
The ending was satisfying, even if the mystery didn't have the explosive finale I was hoping for. I appreciated that the author tried a different style this time around - it paid off. I'm really curious to see what the author will come up with next!

This is the best of all the 188 group novels imo. It doesn't have scum gong so that's different from the other books. But it still has a little bit of wife chasing. This book stands out from the rest because it's apparent how much research the author has done on fire fighting and fire safety. The story isn't just all fluff like the other ones, it's a really good crime/mystery book!

February 24, 2023The queen of the crematorium/scum gong trope, SQC, who is also the author of the 188 series, is able to write such a (generally) wholesome romance. Knowing her usual tropes, I was honestly really surprised by how wholesome the first half of the novel was. It was a suuuper cute romance of two people falling in love. Second half kind of dragged because SQC seemed to remember that this was supposed to be a crematorium story lol, and there were many misunderstandings that seemed to be there for the sake of it. A lot of somewhat unbelievable plot-twists too. Overall, I enjoyed this quite a bit. The romance is super cute.

Finalmente completé la novela final de la serie 188. Esta es mi novela favorita de toda la serie. SQC dice que este ML no es nada desagradable y de hecho, es el más dulce de todos (la verdad es el mejor de todo y no deberia estar en los 188).
Es la historia de amor también es la más dulce.
Aparte del espíritu tropo de ser posesivo, Gong Yingxian es simplemente un chico puro de corazón. Aunque hay un poco de malentendido en el medio debido a su trastorno de estrés postraumático, que lo aleja de la sociedad y es incapaz de comprender los sentimientos de los demás, él no planea ni pone a Renyi en peligro. Su pureza constantemente hace que mi corazón haga "kya" con sus acciones. La forma en que muestra afecto también es muy tradicional y de la vieja escuela, lo que lo hace muy adorable. También me gusta cómo a menudo se sonrojaba cuando Renyi se burlaba de él. Por cierto, lo encuentro muy parecido a Zhao Jing Xin (no esas cosas asquerosas que hizo JX, sino la forma en que parecía inocente y sus payasadas cuando le suplicaba a Renyi, etc.)
Amo mucho al MC Renyi. Es muy fuerte de corazón y extrovertido. Tantas veces arriesgó su vida yendo a escenas de incendios, salvando personas, realmente me hace respetar mucho a los bomberos. ¡SQC investigó mucho sobre esto e incluso aprendí mucho sobre su trabajo! Es muy seguro y me duele cuando lo veo triste. Su papá también es una figura a quien respeto mucho. Fue bombero de pies a cabeza hasta el final. Lo amo por el amor que siente por su hijo y el aliento que le dio a Renyi.
El lado CP se mencionó brevemente pero sus finales también se explican adecuadamente. Me gustan los otros personajes secundarios como el mejor amigo de Renyi, Qu Yang Bo, Qiu Yan, Sheng Bo, todos sus policías y bomberos. La trama de esta novela estuvo muy bien diseñada, se siente muy sólida y, por lo tanto, la extensión también es la más larga. Definitivamente recomendaría esta novela para respirar aire fresco.
Realmente una de las novrlas que se merece mi mejor puntuaciOn de todas las novelas de SQC! Recomiendo mucho leerla...

Definitivamente de mis favoritos de los 188.
Es muy diferente a lo que venia leyendo anteriormente, después de todo este es un libro policial. De cierta manera, a veces parecía que el romance entre Yingxian y RenYi era algo secundario, para ser parte de los 188 la toxicidad fue bastante menos de lo que esperaba.
Yingxian no es como otros Gongs, las cosas que hace no las hace por maldad o por ogt como otros, sino que genuinamente está aprendiendo sobre sus emociones y las consecuencias que sus actos tienen en los demás. Realmente me gustó, es demasiado lindo. Está chikito hay que cuidarlo TT.
Sí considero que es demasiado largo, fácilmente pudo haber tenido 50 capítulos menos, llegó un punto en que me dio flojera porque sentía que no terminaba nunca.
La resolución del caso también fue bastante buena, no me lo esperaba honestamente, aunque también fue un poco sacado de la manga.
Aun así, lo disfruté. Me gustó mucho y si no le doy 5 estrellas es por esos puntos que mencioné.

This is my first novel from the 188 series. I liked the premise of the story, of firefighting but I didn't like Gong Yingxian's character that much, especially towards the end. I appreciate the firefighting elements and it was rich in information about how fires occur, how to deal with fires and so forth so for me that was the highlight of this book. The relationship dynamics were alright, I did like the fact that they cared for each other especially during dangerous situations but the way they entered their relationship and how it progressed from there didn't sit with well with me.

Fast paced and well researched. I learned so much about fire investigations. The romance was very good and honestly not too dog blood which I appreciated.
