It has been a while since we have been in the Tackled By Love world, and I will admit that I had to go back and read the blurbs of the previous books, as I have terrible bookzheimers - if only I remembered all the books I read as well as 80s song lyrics hahah
However once I got a couple of chapters into Fourth and Long, it all came back.
And man, was Tanner and Seth's story a great way to get back into the series.
So different, but so similar.
I love their friendship, to more. It is not an easy road they travel, especially for our lovely Tanner. The way they comfort each other, through words and actions was just so heartwarming.
I loved seeing more of characters from the previous book, where their lives and relationships have ended up (even when it too me a hot minute to remember everything - sorry Quinn)
I really enjoyed Fourth and Long. I went in expecting a straightforward sports romance, but it ended up being much more emotional and character-driven than I anticipated. Tanner’s complicated relationship with football — tied to grief and past trauma — gave the story real weight. I appreciated that his healing wasn’t rushed or magically solved by falling in love. It felt gradual and honest. Seth, on the other hand, was such a steady presence. He could have been written as the typical confident jock, but instead he was thoughtful, patient, and genuinely kind. Their dynamic worked so well.
I have throughly enjoyed the Tackled by Love series this is no different. I love the story of Seth and Tanner and how they work so well together to find love and their happily ever after. Tanner makes ne sad and happy because I can see how much Seth's football career hurts him but at the same time he.cares for Seth so much he is working to overcome that fear. I cannot say enough about this book grab a copy today. .
