Fans of Ruby Dixon, Grace Goodwin, and Laurann Dohner will love this steamy new series featuring gorgeous, bright alien heroes and the sassy human women they choose as mates!
"Stolen from the Alien Bride Lottery" is the ninth book in the bestselling series, Khanavai Warrior Bride Games where each book is a standalone romance AND part of an interconnected series, with no cliff-hangers and no cheating. Join these brides as they find a whole new world of happily ever afters!
USA Today, Wall Street Journal, and New York Times bestselling author Margo Bond Collins is a former college English professor who, tired of explaining the difference between "hanged" and "hung," turned to writing romance novels instead. She now writes urban fantasy, paranormal romance, and science fiction romance. Sometimes her heroines kiss aliens, sometimes they kill monsters. But they always aim for the heart.
Galbon (H), a Khanavai pilot tasked with shuttling women from Earth to Station 21 for the Alien Bride Games is surprise to find that one of the women, Erica (h), scents as his mate. She’s also a suspected spy that may be a threat to the Khanavai and he’s supposed to dispose of her. Galbon abducts Erica, albeit with some hiccups, to a deserted desert planet where he need to get to the bottom of things. As the pair get to know one another, things heats up to a verry happy ending. A fun romantic survival story with a bit of humor and heat – planetary and sexual.
I don’t know how she does it but Margo just keeps hitting them out of the ballpark on this series! The Alien Bride Games now consists of all volunteers. Your name goes in the hat and the contestants are drawn from there. No more unwilling contestants! Erica Walsh has dreamed about getting her own Khanavai warrior since she was a teenager. She has not been chosen on her first two tries, but apparently the third time’s the charm! She is so excited she can hardly wait for the day to come when she gets to go to Station 21! The day finally arrives and she cannot believe she is finally on her way to Station 21. But things are about to get really complicated for her!
Galbon Vlanti has been grumbling the whole way to Station 21. He is a big, brave Khanavai warrior pilot, not some babysitter of silly human women taking part in the Alien Bride Games. That is until he hears that one of the new contestants is believed to be a spy. Now you are talking! He will root her out and dispose of her! By the time he and his partner have reached earth, they have narrowed down their suspects to the most likely one, Erica Walsh. Once they get back from earth, they unload the women one at a time until Erica is the only one left on the ship. She gets up to leave just as Galbon slams the door shut and take off into space. What the heck??
Galbon is about to get a lesson on what happens when you cross a red headed human woman! He thinks his job will be easy until he finds out just how stubborn and devious Erica can be. To top it all off, his body thinks she is his mate! No Way!! Lots of laughs in this one folks!.

This one was so funny! Erica is one of the few who is excited and has been volunteering for the Bride Games. She loves the bright neon hunky aliens and is very excited for her HEA, she is a fellow romance reader after all. Galbon... is kind of a grump? He decided a long time ago that he wouldn't find a mate and have kids because he is one of the rare white Khanavai, and doesn't want to pass that defect on.
There is a lot of fun banter and inner monologues. Fun opposites attract, grumpy/sunshine, chatterbox/quiet romance. We also have the pet trope in here.
The only reason it isn't a five star, is because the intimate scenes were off. It was one of those where they are on the floor, then apparently they are on a bed, they were doing one thing but apparently are doing something else and so on. Not that they are moving about or changing, but that there is no transitions and it reads very choppy. All of those scenes were like this! It was so weird, her other books in this series where not like this. This would have jumped to the top for me in the series, but man those scenes really through me off.
A Khanavai warrior with no bright color, and even a connection with a group of Khanavai that don't want interspecies breeding with humans, is asked to dispose of a potential human spy with connections to the humans only extremists. Erica is just a romantic set on mating with an alien warrior who with cherish her, only to be kidnapped from the very bride games she was set in being part of. Another sweet and quick fated mates alien romance by Margo Bond Collins.
Finally another world... I still can't believe after all these books no one has gone to Khanavai prime. Baby was the best of this book even if it made no sense at all.
The KHANAVAI WARRIOR BRIDE GAMES series revolves around an alien species known as the Khanavai that held an ALIEN BRIDE LOTTERY in exchange for protecting Earth from an enemy known as the Alveron Horde. The war had been going on for centuries, and the casualties in said war had depleted the Khanavai population. On top of their dwindling numbers, the Alveron Horde attacked their planet genetically, wiping out most of their females and hindered the reproductive abilities of the rest. In exchange for keeping humanity safe, Khanavai had been taking compatible females as their mates. Every unmarried woman of child bearing age was required to enter their name in the yearly lottery. Once their names were picked, the females were taken to a space station outside Earth's atmosphere, where they would participate in a televised game show where contestants would compete for a mate. Unfortunately, the game show never worked as planned because Khanavai knew their mate by scent, and a mate bond often formed outside of the chosen contestants and/or activities.
Written in first person, STOLEN FROM THE ALIEN BRIDE LOTTERY is the 9th book in this series, and follows Khanavai Galbon Vlanti and his human mate Erica Walsh from Birmingham. The perspectives switched back and forth between the two main characters. The first chapter of this book informed us that the way the Khanavai aquired brides had changed. Instead of a forced lottery, women now volunteered to put their names in a drawing.
Erica put her name in the drawing three years straight before her name was drawn. She knew what she wanted, and that was a neon bright Khanavai husband.
Galbon was a pilot, working for Station 21. His parents had been part of a Khanavai-only community and he was raised against the idea of mixed breeding. Being a genetic anomaly, Galbon was born with white skin, the shade of pure and undiluted starlight, and not the bright neon colored skin of his race. He was tasked with a specific mission, which involved disposing of a suspected spy, which happened to be Erica all because her sister's ex boyfriend was a member of a humans against aliens group.
After crashing on an abandoned planet once belongings to the Lorishi, Galbon discover that Erica was not a spy. Erica adopted a baby cat-like predator from the planet after they killed it's mother. The two grew closer as they worked together to survive and escape the planet.
The couple officially had sex in chapter 18, at the 81% mark, which was WAY too long of a wait. I read this genre of books specifically for the raunch. Delaying sexual intercorse anytime after the 48% mark is like dangling the cheese so long it molds. When a Khanavai find their mate, their mating cock releases from inside their main cock. When they climax using their mating cock, they are forever bound to their mates. And of course, Galbon's mating cock appeared, creating an unbreakable mating bond with Erica.
My biggest pet peeves with this book, aside from the lack of raunch, was the lazy writing. There was one scene where the couple went from the deck (floor) to the captain's chair to the bed with zero explanation of moving between the three. Another instance, they somehow moved from the floor to standing then laying on the bed, again missing the flow from one place to the other. When the reader cannot follow the visual path laid out for them, the author needs to be more descriptive. I used to think these particular books were fire, but have found them lacking as of late. I'm grateful that the books are included with my Kindle unlimited because I would never pay for these.
Along with the poor writing and scene flow, these books are too short! I wait - for what feels like FOREVER - for her next book to come out, just to read it from cover to cover in an hour (maybe two). I still recommend this read. If for nothing else, it takes very little time and gives you a cute little love story.

Galbon is a Khanavai pilot. He wants to fly free but he was recently assigned to work for the head of the Mating Bride Games. He thought he was going to be stuck on boring milk run flights bringing the new brides to the station but he told that he has a secret mission. He is supposed to use his tech skills to find brides who maybe coming to disrupt the games and get rid of them before they land at the station. On his first run, he finds one bride very suspicious. The bride's sister is dating a man who is high up in the anti-Khanavai protest group. Galbon knows he needs to get rid of her but when he gets close, he learns that she is his fated mate. Now he has to figure out a way to save her.
Erica has dreamed for a long time of becoming a Khanavai bride. She wants a neon colored warrior of her own. His sister doesn't understand her and tries her best to discourage her. Her sister's boyfriend has been feeding her all types of lies and disinformation about the Khanavai. Erica is thrilled when she is finally chosen to be a bride. She is surprised that the Khanavai pilot isn't colored like the warriors of her dreams but is totally white. When they arrive at the station all the other brides disembark but Erica is kept on board. When she overhears a discussion about eliminating her, she goes all out to defend herself but is overpowered by Galbon. Galbon takes her to a deserted desert planet and promises to explain everything to her. Erica doesn't know if she should trust him but she is strangely drawn to him.

OMG!! It's been a long time since the first ship of the Khanavai warriors, offering to defend humans from the attack of other aliens, arrived on Earth! At first, in exchange for protecting humans, the Khanavai asked for human brides for the males who had lost their females in a brutal attack on their planet. Single humans were forced to participate in a kind of lottery while they were between the ages of 21 and 30. Now, years later, this is no longer necessary. The Bride Lottery Game continues, but the human women, born in this new time, already offer themselves voluntarily.
That's exactly what happens to Erica Walsh. For years she has dreamed of marrying a Khanavai warrior with bright, colorful skin. Finally her name is chosen, much to her sister's dismay. But when boarding the ship to go to Station 21, upon arriving there, she discovers that her destiny is totally different than expected.
Galbon was tasked with taking a woman suspected of membership in an anti-Khanavai group. Her name was listed as one of the candidates for the Bride Lottery, but really, he should take her elsewhere and get rid of her. However, inside the ship, Galbon realizes that she is his mate. Quite different from the original plan, he takes her to another planet to try to find out if she really is who they think she is, and thus protect the female destined for him. 4 stars
These book are amazing and everyone of this series has me hooked right from the very start and this one was no different and there laugh out loud moments especially the anti-gravity button that was brilliant. Erica Walsh is a human that has longed to be a Lottery bride and when her name is called she is so excited but her sister Andrea isn’t happy and try’s to get her to stay on Earth but Erica refuses because this is her dream. Galbon Vlanti is the pilot that takes the brides from earth to Station 21 but he is on a mission to find out if one of the brides is there to take down the lottery games. He has the name of the female that they believe is a spy because she has friends that have been red flagged and so he kidnaps her before she enters station 21 to get the answers they want and take her out if he has too but he never thought he would find his fated mate in the spy but he believes it’s a trick and he’s not falling for it. There is so many twists and turns and humor that has me turning the pages just to get to the end and hope it all works out and to see if Erica gets her Khanav male or not and if Galbon finally realizes that she is truly his mate. Brilliant book.

I really enjoyed this book. If you like forced proximity and alien stories, then I highly recommend this book. Plus there is humor and a HEA. Erica has been waiting her whole life to get picked for the alien bride lottery and this is her year to be chosen. Unfortunately, thanks to her sisters bad taste in men, the alien bride lottery thinks she might be a spy. Galbon is a pilot for the Khanavai and he is a little apprehensive about the Khanavai relationship with Earth. He is sent on a mission to find out if Erica Walsh is a spy and dispose of her. He is taken by surprise when he realizes she is his mate. After kidnapping Erica, Galbon takes her to another planet and goes off the grid to determine if she is a spy. There are some funny moments dealing with gravity and some steamy moments between the two. But will Erica accept him as her mate?.

"...part of me wanted to throttle her for interfering in my calm, orderly life."
Galbon is a pilot about to chart his own path, all while trying to appear to obey orders.
Erica is eager to participate in the Alien Bride Lottery, and is more than prepared to give a piece of her mind to anyone who tries to talk her put ofit, or stand in her way.
This done in one kindle unlimited quick read is a positively charming and humorous story. The advice of so many writing instructors is "show don't tell", and I love that this story embodies that on two levels, not just in the writing itself, but in how Galbon shows his true self, through his actions, to Erica.
For her part Erica is both smart and clever, with a good head on her shoulders... her in front of a panel full of alien buttons being a prime example. There are so many possible actions a character can take in that situation, and I loved hers, from start to finish.
Erica Walsh has dreamed of becoming a Khanavai warrior’s bride since she was just a girl, now she finally has her chance. When she is finally accepted as a volunteer to participate in the Alien Bride Games she is thrilled. Unfortunately, before she can reach Station 21, she is kidnapped. Galbon Vlanti isn’t sure why he and his friend were chosen to find out if one of the women being transported to the station is a human spy, but he is determined to find the traitor. What he isn’t prepared for is that the suspect is very likely his mate. I love these characters. They are all well written, and unique. Erica and Galbon are a fun couple, and their relationship has some ups and downs but they will realize that even though neither is what the other might have wanted or expected, they are perfect for each other. Aliens, kidnapping, steam and a surprising twist. I think this is a must-read book and series.

“The truth in this case was uglier than I liked to admit.”
This came close to being a five star book. I love both main characters, the plot was different from most other books in the series and there was more of it. I really liked seeing the dark side of the Khanavai and learning more about them. Sometimes they can seem two dimensional but not this time. I really felt like I knew Galbon and he was very interesting, especially reading about his background and the Lorishi. He and Erica were a wonderful couple and I enjoyed reading their story. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is that this great book fumbled at the end. After all the build up and attention to detail, the last few chapters were rushed, vague, simplistic and unsatisfying. A disappointing end to an otherwise fantastic book. Oh well, it’s still one of the best in the series.
Erica Walsh volunteered to be in the Alien Bride Lottery. She wants to be chosen by one of the big handsome neon-colored Khanavai. She gets her wish, or part of it; she is on her way. On her way to Station 21, she is kidnapped by Galbon Vanti, one of the Khanavai transporting the prospective brides. Why? She could possibly be a human spy. He isn’t sure if she is a spy, but he is almost certain she is his mate. Neither is happy about the situation. She does not want a Khanavai warrior who isn’t a beautiful neon color. Galbon does not want a spy for a mate. Not promising, but things may just work out. Another interesting romance in the Alien Brides series. I received an ARC of this book via BookSprout and am voluntarily reviewing it.
Human women in a bride lottery for Khanavai warriors- a never ending series of misunderstandings in the making! With questions of a spy infiltrating the lottery, Galbon sets the interrogate or eliminate plan in motion. It is too funny how Erica may have “fit the profile” yet was not at all what they were searching for. I enjoyed the series of errors and complications that led this couple off the intended path to actually get to see each other for themselves. So many smile worthy moments ranging from Erica’s creative names for Galbon to Dirty Dancing references and all the things a loyal alien kitten can get up to. A pleasure to read with a HEA in the end.

So far I’ve enjoyed the series…until this last one. It felt like it was written by a different author. The writing was disjointed, the characters had no chemistry, and the Khanavai male didn’t act like he had found his mate. Even after he smelled her, he wasn’t very protective. Plus, the fact that they were like, “Oh, this girl might be a spy even though we have no proof. Kill her.” was so random and unlike the previous books. I honestly looked to see if I had gotten the wrong series or a different author was writing. (It also had a lot more typos.) It was not good. I really only enjoyed the Lorishi planet description. I’m just hoping she was in a time crunch and the rest of the series will go back to being good.

We finally get to meet one of the rare black or white Khanavai and we get to find out why they aren't neon colored. Erica has dreamed of a neon colored Khanavai mate but when she is kidnapped by the weird white pilot, things don't go as they should.
It's a good story. Galbon's struggle between orders and instincts gives us a little more insight into the Khanavai. I loved Erica's fighting back against her abductor. The story progresses quickly but ends kind of abruptly. I would ahve loved to see more of a conclusion to the story.
Even though this in not my favorite Alien Bride Lottery story, it is an entertaining series.
He wasn't looking for a mate but she was, specifically a neon colored Khanavai. She turned out to be his mate but he was white. Oh, boy! How would our MCs met in the middle to have their happily ever. Well, a little kidnapping would do. 😂😂😂.
It was an adventure of sorts for our MCs. It was kinda funny that he was outmaneuvered by a human and I can't help but laugh and cringe every time I remember he was an alien pingpong. Ah, but there were sweet moments too that made her fall in love with him. And that last part, was so heart melting.
I look forward to the next part of the series.

This was such a fun read! Erica has been waiting for what feels like forever to get admitted to the alien bride games but she's finally made it. What she didn't expect was to be kidnapped and to be disposed of by Galbon, the Khanavai warrior charged with this task. She wanted a neon warrior for a mate so she was surprised to be attracted to this white warrior. Galbon, is determined to get this job over with and move on...until he realizes she's his mate. This is where things go sideways for him and the hi-jinx that go on between them were hilarious. I loved how this highly entertaining romance unfolded and can't wait for more :D
I enjoyed the chemistry between Erica and Galbon although it started on the wrong foot since Galbon had orders to “dispose” of Erica because she was suspected to be a spy. What they thought she could do to the Bride Games is a mystery to me but we know Vos Klavoii isn’t always rational. Galbon realizes she is his mate so he takes her to an abandoned planet with plans to torture the truth out of her. Erica might be petite but she is no pushover.

I've read all of the Alien Bride Lottery books and have enjoyed them all. This one is a bit different. Erica had tried several times to be selected for the lottery and was finally successful. Unfortunately they thought she was a spy and Galbon, a white instead of the usual neon colored Khanavi, is tasked to end her life. The story held my attention and we were introduced to another world. I adored Baby, who added some levity to the story. If you liked the other books in the series you will like the heart in this one.
This was short, funny, and an incredibly quick read. I liked everything from the plot to the characters and the smut. We're given enough information about the vague enemy, the Alveron Horde, to know why these alien males are getting hitched to human females. I didn't like the female main lead because she felt really naive and stupid in the beginning, but throughout the book, her character developed enough for me to tolerate her.
This was an interesting concept that I'm looking forward to reading further in the next books.
Galbon is a Khanavai pilot who transports the women entering the Alien Bride Lottery from Earth to Station 21. But this time, he finds his mate among those women. And as luck would have it, she is suspected of being a spy and a danger to the Khanavai, which means she cannot be allowed to live.
Galbon kidnaps his mate and hides her on a deserted planet. The time they spend alone definitely heats things up for them. Will he keep her as his mate? Will she be happy with the “giant alien” she has been longing to claim for herself?
Liked this story right up to the ending. Problem was it had barely any ending at all. Nothing was resolved as far as the orders given to “take care of her” if she was a spy. Was the pilot kept in Vos’s service? Where did the couple go? Story started out so good, but just fizzled at the end. I have enjoyed the stories in this series, however this one felt rushed and incomplete.
Erica was so excited to participate in the Alien Bride Lottery and finally get a neon hunk of her own. But fate is fickle and instead of crazy neon colors she’d dreamed about she is kidnapped by a rare white Khanavai warrior named Gablon. Their adventure on a deserted planet was brief but just enough time for love to form. This book was a little less exciting than the previous books in my opinion.
Erica Walshhas wanted a Khanavai warrior since her hormons kicked in. Now she has a chance of one of the brightly coloured aliens. Unfortunately Vos Klavoii believes she is a spy and orders Galbon Vlanti the pilot to find out and dispose of her if true. This is a quick read with fun characters and steam.

AHH!! That is different from some of the Brides Games. One who tried for so long to get on the Games. So it did happen and then they thought she was someone who was trying to sabotage the Games. Wow, so not the case. I would have loved to find out what her sister thought of that. Very good story and she got a baby catlike creature too. I enjoyed the story very much. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Is she a bride-to-be or an alien hater? Is he an assassin or an alien who has found his mate? Is that a cat?
Loved this book about a woman who had always wanted to find her own blue alien to marry and a not-blue alien who is supposed to kill her but wants to love her instead. I'll let you figure out the cat...

I never get tired of the Alien Bridal games. The books continue to engage their reader as the author continues to make the characters evolve with each book.
Female lead this time is Erica who loves all these Khavania. The male lead Galbon is not your typical Khavania warrior.
Expectations and orders will clash of this book can these two straight out their problems?.

Erica has worked to be able to join the Alien Bride Games. Her sister Andrea can’t understand, but doesn’t try to stop her. Unfortunately Andrea’s now ex-boyfriend is a known member of MEHA “Make Earth Human Again”, and Erica is assumed guilty by association.
This sets off an interesting set of events which are humorous and romantic. A fun read.
