A fair warning, this story contains a harem element, and will see our MC deal with the advances of several women both in and out of game. Some will be more successful than others. Some will piss the reader off while other will make them smile (at least I hope). Currently the harem stands at 4 entering this book and until Alex/Xeal says “I love you” to them assume anything can happen! I hope you enjoy my story and even if you don’t, thank you for at least giving it a chance to develop.
As a child I did not read unless Pokémon cards count. It wasn’t until middle school when my mother played a trick on me, she got me entranced in the Harry Potter books. She would read the first few to me before switching to reading me a chapter and leaving the book out for me to read if I wanted more. Thus started my love of reading, at least in part. I still didn’t go out of my way to find books to read and after high school I could count on one hand how many books I would read each year. Life continued like this for over five years before I was hooked on an anime and searched out its light novel. This led to the phase where I was reading at least a couple books a month to now where I have gone through over 300 books in the last year.
Now I am putting my own work in to the world while following my own mantra. To write for yourself or you will never love what you write. When I first started to put my ideas into words I was surprised to find that those I shared it with loved it. This led me on to the road of putting out my own book for the world to see. Thank you to everyone who has or will help and support me in making this dream a reality.
This is a great follow up to the previous books. There are reasonable conclusions and plans proper character growth and overall the trends the book is following make sense and flow very well. There are aspects of this story I don't care for (mainly the harem) but nothing that detracts from the enjoyment I get from the world. It all seems to work well and the world seems lived in. The only things I'd like to see more moving forward is more details/play-by-play of quests and more in depth character time with the main side characters
Great twist on the whole LitPrg, timeline and harem type books. I am glad you don’t take away from the story by reviewing a person’s stats or make them super macho and total womanizer. I was surprised on how much I identified with Alex’s parents and the other side characters. The pace and the way you make a complicated storyline easy to understand has been great!! Looking forward to the next books!! Congratulations on making this a career!
If you have got this far in the series you must be hooked so no spoilers as that would ruin what is fast becoming one of my fav harem game lit stories. Loving this part of the world building and mythology and setting up what will probably be quite an important part of the beginning for the main characters, i do love slice of life mixed in with adventure .
You like litrpg, then you will like this. I would have rated the others but I’m kinda lazy. Buy them all. Not statistics heavy, so that means the page count is the page count. Less sex obsessed than some authors. And are more sedate harem , consensual, I like that. Not 5 because they finished too soon
Seems to be a great continuation of the story so far and other than the author tripping me up with his little sneak peek showing up in this book I love the book I finished a single night to the detriment of my sleep schedule.
Honestly, this is a interesting story. It has to be for me to have the 4th book finished and impatiently waiting for #5 the day after #4 came out. I do appreciate that there's no smut in these books. Keep up the great storytelling.
Love this Series and the harem is very light my thanks for that.
I like the plot and the characters built up. Love the short books and love for the consistency of a book every month or so. Cudos and congratulations on becoming full-time writer.
I have really enjoyed reading this series!!! I really appreciate that the author does not spend multiple pages describing random items or people and that the profanity is little to none!
Can’t wait to read the next book when it’s released!!!
This book was just plan not good. The author pivoted into a harem style story where that is the maim focus whole still trying to say its not a harem. The way that the 3 new girls are added is completely moronic and infuriating. It makes nonsense with how it was written or to the prior story. If this continues then I will be done with what started as a promising story only to turn into nonsensical garbage.
This fantasy-VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Massively Multi-player Online Role Playing Game) extra extra light novel series is a lost cause. You thought it was about a Virtual Reality Online Game? Naaaah, it's about the main character having sex, increasing his retinue-harem and making babies. Little or no world building, no character development, no social media analysis, no company game updates, no commercial sponsors for the guilds and most capable players. No competitions, arena fighting or rankings. The original series where this author copied his story from (The Great Thief 2015), (Master Tamer 2016), (The King's Avatar), (The World Online), etc. are much better written and organized. Those are about playing a real world game. This series has so many things, themes and plots missing that it cannot be considered a serious VRMMORPG series. With less than 150 pages per extra extra light novel volume, all six volumes could fit in a normal LitRPG book. It's shameful and embarrassing to read. I originally thought because it is so short, I would finish it (even though it is a carbon copy of other better novel series) but just finishing this volume 4, makes me completely stop. Author in the afterword, actually says that the series is selling well and that he is going to become a full time author of this series (doesn't even mention it is almost all plagiarized from other better novel series.)
The story started out great. I was even OK when the main character gained two girlfriends. However, the harem ark is becoming way too prevalent and is taking away from what could be a very good story. While I would love to see where the story goes. I really just don’t want to go to much deeper into the harem aspect of the story.
Ok so I've made it through 3 full books and 67% into this one and I'm done. It was interesting but more and more of the story is how the MC is so sought after as a mans man - a ladies man- the one with all the answers- the one everyone looks to for answers- anyone he interacts with is either after him to be destroyed or manipulated or need to be taken care of. No one ... ok it's just gotten so uncomfortable to read as there is very little story action and challenges anymore - in the last book it was a lot of political stuff and this one is - I just don't have the words. and a lot of the other reviews cove the other issues- like paragraphs that never end, sentences that are not structurally sound cause they make no sense. I can't imagine there are 19 books .. if this is where he is going to spend most of the time writing about.. but as my rant ends so does my interest. I'm putting this series back on the shelf as not completed and I'm done.
Alex has some problems: as the First Guild guild leader, all the other guilds want what he has; as a trail blazer into new territories, all the guilds want what he knows; as a Baron with all the right mover, all the women want him. He wants just be happy and play the game, but thats just not to be. He and his vise guild leaders and a select team take on a very lengthy challenge, the first of its kind in this new VR game, and are forced to win or die trying...
I have yet to read a book in this series and be unhappy with the story line. This was still a fun read cover to cover.
Alex must balance personal time with his new girlfriend's an challenge ED as well .
Alex tries to find a balance with his girlfriend's that came about wihen his sister Anna proclaiming that two of his highschool friends had crushes on him .With that exposed each confessed their true feelings an each decided to share time equally between themselves for him . So we have two best friends equally in love with Alex at the same time . Along with Alex doing expeditions into unknown area's in ED to strengthen an level up personality an for his guild .recommend reading excellent series .
Very hard to review , I love the litRPG aspect , the MC and FAE are developing really well and the story is great , I'm only giving four stars due to the annoyance of the "real"world part of the story , in future books it's purpose may become clear but right now it is an over dramatic teen romance and is irritating as hell and seems to add nothing to the story , if the shock news becomes reality it'll be worse.
There us a story here but it's hard to find in the stupid harem story the other insists on throwing in. My man just be happy with the two friends outside the game and the two npc's that the main character has to deal with. Whatever point this book was suppose to make was overshadowed by the lame ending. In all a very dispointing book not sure ibwill continue with this series or author.
Finished in a day, which I'll say is common for this series as it keeps you hooked, from the action, to the adventure, to the emotions and characters, to the nostalgia of having played so many MMORPGs and exploring new things... and wondering... if we could go back and start over knowing what we know now... what would we do with that knowledge.
Somewhat not as good as the previous in the series, but still a good read. My negative feelings might be from the harem/women/mother stuff which I generally dislike when it/they go irrational.
There are many things happening on many axis and the author somehow juggles them all to work both independently and also in conjunction with the rest.
It is still a very satisfying story and plot, and it is a bit amazing to see how the author weaves it all together.
The only real conplaint i have, is that the conversations seams a bit off to me. I don't think people usually explain so mutch inn their conversations wher shorter observations and body language do alot of the talking. Idk but characters explaining everything they are doing or thinking about to their conversations partner/s just feals unnatural to me.
MC does more PR and HR stuff then actually progressing in the game and exploiting his knowledge. All the progression that happens is that MC leveled to this level and that's just not interesting. No stat distributions, no skill increases or anything. Harem is taking forefront of everything and it's not add much if anything to the story.
I am absolutely loving this series. I thought once the relationships started I would be turned off of it but I was wrong. This story continues to deliver and if you liked and enjoyed the first three books you will like this one.
Like this series very much. The books seem to be released 1 st of the month. After book 5 which on pre book April 1st author said going to write longer book because he going become a full ti.e writter
This story of a guy going back into time to his younger self is fantastic. The almost harem is unfortunate, but true of anyone with half a billion bucks to their name at eighteen.
The plans are just idiotic. The character reactions to said plans are even worse. This whole book takes a ridiculous set up and just makes it ludicrous.
