College professor Jax agrees to visit his best friend in Colorado, the same state where his online crush lives. They’ve been flirting online for over a year, and he’s never even asked the man’s name, so what are the chances of meeting him in a city as large as Denver?
Truth is, tech billionaire Charlie hasn’t even looked for love since he started talking to the adorable nerd online. Who wouldn’t be smitten by a hunk who makes viral comic book videos and sings songs about being your slave on TikTok?
Never in his wildest dreams did he imagine that when he finally comes face to face with the super-hot, TikTok-famous man, his handsome crush, known for his deliciously deep voice, would be so blown away he’d get tongue-tied?
With all the reasons to say no, will they overcome their differences and say yes to love?
Loved Charlie and Jax!! Charlie is a Daddy to Jax’s Boy. They had fantastic chemistry, connection and a great dynamic. The only thing I would have like was a little more time with them. Overall, this was really good! The story was really well written, fast paced, highly recommend! I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.
I thought that this was a really good book. I really liked Charlie and Jax together with their awesome connection and chemistry. The pull, love, and steam between Charlie and Jax was awesome. These two have a little bit of a bumpy road but they do work things out. I really enjoyed this book, and I would recommend it, this series, and Ms. Amarra as a great author.
I received a free e-book copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Jax is a college professor and has agreed to visit a friend of his in Colorado which just happens to be the state where a guy he has been crushing on online lives. As they have never swapped names there is very little chance of them meeting while he is there. Tech billionaire Charlie has not looked for love since he started talking to an adorable nerd online who makes viral comic book videos and sings songs about being your slave on TikTok. Then he comes face to face with him for real and is completely tongue-tied. With all the reasons to say no, will they overcome their differences and say yes to love?
I really enjoyed this novella with the shy and reserved Jax and the smitten Charlie. I was rooting for them even before they had physically met and it was just wonderful to experience their blossoming relationship. Jax was definitely into the kind of Daddy Dom/Little servant kind of kink that meant that they had every chance for success as long as Charlie played it careful and made sure that he took care of Jax's need to be both Little and of service. I loved the way that their relationship blossomed and the way that the story ended had me squealing out loud and jumping up and down with excitement. Easy to read and understand. This is an MM story with Daddy Dom/Little scenarios with some controlled play.
This is my first time reading this author and I enjoyed them. There were a number of editing issues that sometimes tripped me up. But nothing that killed the story. I also felt the time lapses in the book gave the story a bit more of a telling instead of showing vibe I didn't love. Suddenly, Jax and Charlie were together for 3 months after the first meet. Suddenly, they were going on a trip for months. Suddenly, they were back from the long trip and going somewhere else. It left me feeling a bit ungrounded and like I was just skimming their lives and relationship, which I guess I essentially was.
But what I loved about the book were the kinks explored, the scenes they had, the connection that I did get to see between them. Jax and Charlie seemed to go so well together. I would have loved more service and Little scenes in place of the gaps and time jumps, but alas. I will be trying another book by this author. Maybe this is the only one written with time this way. I'm willing to find out.
I like this series with its short novellas thread between longer books. In Service to Daddy is book five in the Billionaire Doms of Crash Series.
The story is about Charlie a Daddy and Jax a boy. The are chatting already a long time together and the best friend of Jax gets them to meet each other without knowing that it’s their internet friend.
Both main characters are very cute and a great together.
I had the luck to get an ARC to read and I’m looking forward to the next books in the series.
I love stories where the authors let the characters be themselves and Amarra Skyke did this with Jax and Charlie. The idea of a Little being "in service" to his Daddy was brilliant - gave a nice twist to stories like this where there is a defined line between the Daddy and the Little. In this story Jax could do "grown up" things to Charlie and it showed a maturity that normally doesn't exist in other Daddy/Little stories I've read. I've read Amarra from the very first book she wrote and am a huge fan. I recommend her stories.
Reading Amarra’s books I have learned so much about the link community that I had no idea about. I fell in love with the Daddies of Crash and I’m so happy they found their perfect partners. This story is cute, has the right amount of spice and steam for a novella. I seriously love Amarra’s writing style. It’s easy to read and only a few times have I needed to look up a word (which is usually kink or LGBTQ+ slang I’m unfamiliar with). Overall, looking for a cute insta-love with DDLB? Look no further than this series.
In Service to Daddy is a daddy/little story and follows Charlie and Jax. The book started out great, but since it was so short the timeline felt off and rushed a bit as it jumped between times. Overall an ok read but had very good potential to be great. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really struggled with this book at times as the timeline felt kind of off as there were quite big time lapses throughout. I did like the various kinks covered in this book and would have loved there to have been more of this during the book. I think for me it was just really hard to connect with the book which may just be that the author's preferred style of writing doesn't work for me
Wow another great book ,,,,something just your disfigurement from a fire you have to hide but you also have to take in account that children are mean about burn marks especially on the face most grow out of that and the most important people don’t see burns they see the real person like in this story
I love how Jax was able to be himself with Charlie. He’s a sassy thing and I love it. As with the others there are some editing issues but it’s definitely a story worth reading.
I have devoured this series since it came out. They are fast-paced series where good boys find their forever Daddies. I also love how there is always a twist in the dynamic of these characters. Jax is a service sub looking for someone to please but can be a little as well.
I enjoyed Jax and Charlie’s story. I especially liked the service scenes. Both Jax and Charlie are sweet, although Charlie definitely has a sadistic side that he occasionally lets out to play. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series
A fun, fast-paced, low-angst novella. Exactly what I was looking for, for an afternoon read. 4 more books in the series that can be read stand-alone but the other MC's do show up so it's fun to read them in order.
Best Partner: sexy voice, must love Super Heroes …Getting to meet someone in person can lead to all sorts of delightful encounters. Playing games with them may be tough but fun. Enjoy getting to know Jax and Charlie!
Loved it again too short and things are mentioned with no explanation.. They met online fell in love and were tracked into meeting in person .. Hot sweet sexy
I quite liked Jax and Charlie. I love service oriented books like this and Jax was just wonderful at it. Charlie knew just how to take Jax in hand and direct him. It was lovely.
I also liked how Jax stood up for himself with Hendrix. Frankly, if my friend had gone behind my back to make a meeting happen with my crush like that, I’d have been so mad. Jax definitely let Hendrix know how he felt while maintaining their friendship.
Charlie and Jax had awesome chemistry and their scenes were super hot. There is a road-trip scene that was double yummy. I really loved these two together.
A few grammatical errors still plague this series, but it’s significantly better than it was. It wasn’t overly distracting throughout the book and Jax and Charlie were so engaging that I was able to overlook it. No matter what, I really like this series. It’s interesting and explores so many types of relationships. I can’t wait for the spin-off series that’s coming.
*I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. I loved the overly british persona Hendrix took on when he was around Jax. It makes me sad, but understandable from Jax's POV, how Charlie is coming across though is easing him. What was the odds that the guy Charlie is wanting for his own was besties with Hendrix? Small world in so many ways. Totally agree with Jax about Buck, Yes someone else gets its! Jax fill of betraying hurt, Charlie is willing to scene with Jax to bring the boy out of his head, after all the way he found out the truth was bound to be hard on him. After all online is different the reality, does it lead to a wonderful happy boy? Jax is just so fun as a little, even when he is being naughty for daddy. Charlie is experiencing things with Jax that is opening up doors he never tried before but he is also showing Jax a few of his own little kinks..so willing for a repeat You have to feel some type of sorry for Hendrix's while Jax is mad, after all from his side he wants his friend happy and close, only we see where the hurt leads at the end.
