Thief of Virtues

Rate this book
Alessia Marchetti is the Marchetti princess.
Sheltered. Vulnerable. Inexperienced.
Recently graduated from high school, new experiences await but her thoughts are only consumed with one thing. Him. The man she can never have.

Tristan Capizola is a Marchetti soldier.
Stubborn. Focused. Guarded.
He gives everything to protect the Marchetti. It’s the distraction he needs to keep his feelings in check. Feelings for the girl he shouldn’t want.

When Alessia and Tristan find themselves taken captive, the lines begin to blur. The fight between life and death is enough for Tristan to give her everything she desires.

But if they make it out alive, it can be nothing more than a memory.

Because she’s his to protect...
But not his to love.

What a great short story about Alessia and Tristan!
She has been in love with him for a while now, but she’s the little precious sister of his boss. And off limits, right?!
LA Cotton kept me on the edge with this book! I could not put it down.
I totally love the Verona Legacy series!

Theif Of Virtues
A Verona Legacy Novella
L.A.Cotton

POV:Dual
Alessia and Tristan

Alessia Marchetti, mafia princess, Nico's little sister, only daughter of Antonio Marchetti. She's watched her brother, cousins falling in love. She wants that kind of love.
Her cousin Bella, is her best friend. She's the most confident, out going, centre of attention out of the two of them. Alessia is the opposite of that.
She's had a crush on Tristan for years, it's never gone away, she's hopelessly in love with him.
Tristan is Bella's bodygaurd. She overheard years ago that Tristan flat out refused to be her bodyguard. How can she love a guy who doesn't want anything to do with her, let alone see her, she's invisible to him.

Tristan is Arianne's cousin, Arianne is Nico's wife, Alessia's sister in law.
He's more than noticed Alessia. But she's off limits to him.

They're taken when a threat attacks them.
With this time together, they have a moment.
After their time together, Alessia feels that Tristan regretted it.
He doesn't regret it, they just can't be together.
When they're found, and brought back Alessia shuts down. She doesn't leave the house. Nico wants to send her away for College, she'll be safer that way. She doesn't like that idea. Tristan tells her she should go. In response to that she tells him to stay away from her. Does she go?
Will Tristan come to his senses and get his girl before it's too late?

Being back in Verona Legacy is utter perfection.
Alessia is no longer the young teenager with a crush but a beautiful mafia princess. And every mafia princess falls in love...

This short novella packs a punch, angsty, lustful and laced in mafia drama. Tristan & Alessia connection leaves you swooning and wishing Tristan was yours to lust after. The love and lust you can feel is magical and beautifully heart fulfilling.

𝐈’𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐢𝐭. 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐲𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞. 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫… 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐈’𝐦 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭. 𝐈’𝐦 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐞.

I loveeee that LA Cotton keeps all the characters as a pivotal part of the stories and it makes you fall effortlessly back in love with Verona Legacy.

Luis damn... i missed this man and he still brings comedy and realness to the story. Plus seeing the couples together and the glimses into their lives now!!

This is exactly what was needed as a novella. LA Cotton you are a queen. And I'm still so madly in love with these characters

Tristan is a Thief of hearts!

Tristan is Sia’s every dream come true! 💋 Thief of Virtues is a short novella of Alessia and Tristan’s much anticipated union from the Verona Legacy series!

“I was desperately, hopelessly in love with a man who would never be mine.”

This short story of forbidden love, OM/YW gives quick insight to the Verona world, while alliances and family continue to form. Once an outsider, Tristan Capizola battles with surrendering to the destiny he feels towards Alessia Marchetti, the sister of the most powerful man.

If you enjoy dark, mafia romances with all the twists and desires that L. A. Cotton does so well at executing in her stories, you will not be disappointed. This rating was given for the great world building, wonderful characters, and easy reading that the Verona Legacy series does exceptionally well to engage the reader of this trope.

When I found out that Alessia and Tristan would be getting their own story, I was freaking out like a little girl. I remember DMing LA Cotton on Instagram after finishing Saviour of Regrets and telling her how much I loved the Verona Legacy series - when she replied saying Alessia might get her own story soon I was so excited. And of course, she did not disappoint. My only complaint is that I wish it was a full-length novel - this was not enough to satisfy me!!

It has been over 2 years since I finished Saviour of Regrets and finishing this novella reminded me why I loved this series so much. There's something about the way LA Cotton writes her heroes that just kills me and leaves me an emotional wreck. Reading this made me want to go back and read the entire series from the beginning again.

To this day, Verona Legacy remains in my top 3 favourite series ever. LA Cotton - you are amazing.
Sad that this amazing series has ended.

This book is everything and more. The anticipation and heat is real! After patiently waiting and praying that this amazing author would give us just a little more of the Verona world she comes out with this amazing short story, novella, that we have all been asking for. The chemistry between these two characters is off the charts and when they don’t have the will power to deny their feelings anymore, they have nothing left to do but give in. Still it is only tue beginning of their problems and it is oh so good.

I'm so happy that Alessia and Tristan got their own book even if it was only a short novella! Alessia has been into Tristan since forever and he has feelings for her too that he has tried to deny and won't allow himself to act on them because she is not only six years younger than him but also his cousin's boyfriend's litte sister (aka Nicco's sister) AND the mafia princess 🤭 But when they're in danger together everything changes between them. AHH I loved their whole kinda forbidden age gap story so much!

I absolutely loved being back in Verona. This whole Verona Legacy series is not to be missed!!

Hooked from the very first page, I found that Tristan and Alessia’s story kept me on the edge of my seat for much of the narrative. There are some nail-biting moments which I loved! The connection and chemistry between Tristan and Sia are palpable throughout. I loved witnessing the Marchetti family (and those close to them) doing what they do best. There is nothing I can fault about this novella…… it’s a must-read.

I am utterly in love with these two. Alessia has always had a crush on Tristan aka Cap but in the last few years it has intensified for her to more, much more. She knows that he would never return her feelings so she has accepted that, but that doesn’t stop her from hoping and wishing. Tristan knows the Marchetti Princess is off limits but now that she is grown he can’t help the feelings that stir inside him. They both know anything between them would be forbidden but when they are put in a life or death situation will they even care that they shouldn’t pursue their feelings? This short story was pure perfection that had it all from steam to action. This utterly blew me away and I was so excited for their story that I crave more of them.

📚 BOOK REVIEW 📚

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I have been waiting for this book for so long and I was not disappointed. Loved it, even though only a short story I felt like it covered their story so well.

I loved Tristan’s protective side and I loved how sweet Alessia was. I thought it was both of them completely and I wouldn’t change anything about the book.

I loved hearing about the other characters we already had and I can’t wait to see if we get Bella story she going to be amazing read with her ability to get in trouble.

This is one of my favourite series by L.A. Cotton so I was really excited to hear there was another novella to read!

This is Tristan and Alessia's story and though it was short, it had everything I needed from the pair of them!

It was a little tense at points but that's what I expect from this series - and particularly this installment with Sia being the boss's little sis and Tristan his employee...

I loved it!

💛 Thief of Virtues - A Verona Legacy Novella (Alessia and Tristan) 💛 by LA Cotton

5 ⭐️
3 🌶️

This little novella completely stole my heart.
Alessia and Tristan are just the sweetest, which I could read more about their relationship.

Spicy wise the scene where she loses her V, was super steamy 😮‍💨

One book 1 I didn’t really like Tristan to be honest, but I fell in love with him in this novella ♥️

Short but sweet. Wish this had been a full length novel as I really liked both Tristan and Sia in the earlier novels. I was intrigued on where their journey would take them once I realised that they were going to be a couple, and I thought they were sweet together. I just don't love novellas as I often feel that they come across as rushed.

Was so so sweet seeing that Nicco and Ari had a daughter, and Enzo and Nora having their baby too 🥰

I'm so happy these two got their HEA. Tristan deserves his HEA after having to give up his dreams for his cousin's happiness. I loved Alessia but also wanted to smack her when she started getting emotional because Tristan got distant. Girl, it wasn't the best time. My biggest issue was that this was to short! Oh and seeing Enzo in tears? Best thing ever!!

A short story that packs a punch. It has all the parts you love with the other Verona Legacy books. Alessia and Tristan’s story starts out unconventional but you can definitely enjoy the ride as there relationship starts in this novella.

This was really enjoyable. I loved Alessia and Tristan’s story and need it to be a full-length book, this wasn’t enough! It was great being back in the Verona Legacy world and seeing the past couples and where they are now. I love all the characters in this world.

Gah - I love this series! And was super excited to have more.

Alessia has grown into a beautiful woman, who knows what/who she wants. When she finally stands up for herself and demands answers Tristan is blown away with how she thinks he sees her! This is the start for them… watching the misunderstandings unfold and seeing the devotion to each other was beautiful.

Absolutely adored 🖤
