Not gonna lie, the cover pulled me into this one. Ooph! That’s one gorgeous man. 🔥🥵
Well crap, obviously she has resentment towards this man. Only a Saint wouldn’t feel betrayed at being sent away so soon after her only parent’s death. He’s lucky the worst he got was a six year long silent treatment.
They’re both lonely, looking for someone to see them but never putting themselves out there. Almost like they don’t want to be seen but it’s impossible not to see each other.
Rose is a ball buster. I like her a lot. Seriously, her confidence is sexy as hell.
Ugh! I want to use Phillip’s ball sac like a punching bag.
Ha! When he brought the date home that was super childish. But ask me if I care. 🤣 But honestly, what the hell did he expect?!

Corbin & Rose together were hot AF! Corbin was sexy and dominating and Rose had no shame in her game. I loved that she was a bad bitch. For once, I wish there was less of a storyline since this was just a short novella and more of just Corbin & Rose naked together...I really needed more of that! 🥵🥵

Hmm..possible spoilers so read at your own discretion......
some age gap romances aren't for me and this one sadly didn't work out. Most of the time age gaps have a really young FMC and she's always kinda annoying and immature, to me that was Rose. Also a scene of CNS left me very uncomfortable i think those kinda sex are not for me as well. 😪 Sadly this was a flop. And she's not even and Escort SMH.

To be honest, neither Rose nor Corbin is particularly likable. I find it hard to believe that a fresh college graduate is ready to become the CEO of her father's company. But let me tell ya, the steam level was HOTTT — way hotter than I was expecting it to be 🥵🥵🥵 I might have bumped up my rating if the ending wasn't so abrupt.

Rose is home from college now, and ready to take over her father's business empire. Corbin is divorced, and still not ready for Rose. She's all grown up now and knows exactly what she wants.
Commentary: Wow, these two were hot together. Rose could be immature at times, but honestly, Corbin could be as well. When it came down to it though, he pulled through for her. She needed a few things from him: a home base where she could feel stable, his business expertise, and his acceptance of her love. In the end, he gave her all three. This was a great story!

I love literally anything Fiona writes, and that was no different with this short and steamy read! Love the guardian/ward trope and the spice scene was spicyyyyy. I do think it was an abrupt af ending and I’m feeling a little robbed. How are you gonna just end the book in the middle of that??? Overall I enjoyed this!

The quick banter turns into lustful want soon and when they finally explode, it’s pretty great but gone wayyy too soon!
The ending came super abrupt and I didn’t want to finish. This was a short story and as so, left you wanting more! We got 1 good sexy scene and then a sexy ending but that was it. This so has the potential to be more than a short story and I’m hoping the author gives us more later ! lol

This was only my second book by Fiona Cole and I need to read more ASAP! She does such an incredible job of writing confident and strong female main characters and her spice is written soooo well too.
Rose’s father passed away unexpectedly and in his well, his close friend, Corbin was supposed to be her guardian. She’s 16 when she goes to live with him and his wife almost immediately sends her to boarding school and she goes straight to college afterwards. Rose and Corbin keep in touch with emails but only every once in awhile and there’s really not a lot to them.
She graduates college and moves back in with a divorced, single, Corbin while she takes back full control over her fathers business she inherited. Meanwhile Corbin is very aware (even if he needs convincing to accept it) that Rose is not in fact a little girl anymore.

this was a quick novella. that’s it. a novella. it’s short and sweet (i guess). but the characters are spineless. rose is basic and downright disturbing at times, and everything moved too fast. she was really pushing boundaries. she annoyed me a lot. corbin is eh. i love fiona’s work and will always read her books, but this was really disappointing. :( at least it was free. the smut was good, that’s why it has 2 stars. i loved the cnc. there were a lot of spelling and grammar mistakes too. i feel like this was a rushed book, so i don’t know what i expected. meh. the voyeur series is much better and i suggest you read that before diving into this book because it’ll steer you away from fiona.

This novella was short, sweet, and hot! I’ve read a few from this author before so when I saw this as a freebie from the author recently I grabbed it. This is an age gap (she’s 22, he’s 40), with a forbidden aspect. The hero was assigned to be the heroine’s guardian after her father passed away when she was 16, they never spent much time together before she was shipped off to school and then college so they didn’t see one another again for 6 years. Now she’s back and knows exactly what she wants in her life, first to take back control of her late father’s escort business and then, she wants the hero. 🔥 I loved how the heroine goes for what she wants and is not afraid to let the hero know how much she wants him.

But the way Rose use her body and taunt, it feels manipulative for me. That's why, i dont find their first smegsi scene hot. Like a bait abd a trap. For the fruit of it to be shame and anger. For her to feel left and him to be a rude di*k who now treat her like a child after the rough smegsi.
Love how she push him to feel with adult talk. Love how she let her vulnerability show for it is honest. Love how he finally see the truth and man up.
For me, the last smegsi scene way more sexy, although short, for its more honest.
