Danah is a brand new author, but wow can she write well. She has weaved a world of suspense and intrigue In the Dark series. She is a writer you will automatically want to read what she writes next. This book, Out of the Dark, was exactly what I was hoping for to read and more. Once again the author had me captivated from the get go and all the way through until the very end!

Holy Cow! Mind-blown! I didn’t think Danah Logan could top In the Dark, but somehow Out of the Dark is better! Just when you think you’re on the cusp of getting all the answers, Danah throws you another bone, a small piece of the larger puzzle. There was more than one time while reading book 2 where I was left absolutely confused by the larger mystery surrounding Lilly.

In book 1 we know there’s a mysterious Him who kidnapped Lilly when she was younger. In book 2 we learn his identity and I was not ready for the revelation. I knew from the subtle hints who the mysterious Him was, but what I didn’t expect is his connection to Lilly. In this book, we dive deeper into the identity of Lilly’s parents and get introduced to another unknown character, Her.

I cannot believe this is Danah Logan’s debut series. Danah has managed to convince me the villain doesn’t deserve to be treated like the villain, that he’s deserving of redemption. Without spoiling too much, let’s just say I wasn’t fully ready to love Him, quirks and all, as much as I do.

Lilly and Rhys’ relationship also progresses in this book. Lilly and Rhys are not hiding their love for each other and are much more open about their feelings, whereas, in book 1, there was a lot of secrecy in their relationship. Wes and Den also have a lot going as they’ve been dragged into the events of Lilly and Rhys’ lives. I know the author has books for these characters planned and I’m really looking forward to seeing things unravel from Wes and Den’s perspectives.

Out of the Dark brings us answers, but also questions surrounding the events in Lilly’s past. Suspense, mystery, intrigue, and romance. This book has it all and I’m looking forward to the conclusion of the series because I can’t wait to see the epic ending Danah has in store for us!

OH MY EVER LOVIN' HOLY HELL! I'm not even sure what all went on here, but it took forever to get my heart rate down that's for sure. Lilly is a girl who has the worst luck since there's a "HIM" who kidnapped her, and while we now know who "HIM" was, there's a "HER" and I mean...C'MON MAN (b*t*h*s be crazy)! It seems quite certain that Lilly's life is one big secret which doesn't make friends & has her life in turmoil. For every question answered from In the Dark (Book 1 which you have to read FIRST), 2o more popped up so I'm left scratching my head & calling Danah Logan some names of the colorful metaphor variety. Obviously, there's a ton of twists that get the f-bombs dropping, but I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I'm not sure where this diabolical brilliant author is taking me, but I do know that I AM ALL IN! And it definitely helps that there's a sexy Rhys in the story to have Lilly's six. It all leads to another cliffhanger so I'm sitting here dying inside & I believe you will too after you hit those one click buttons! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Just when you think you know what’s going on in this series, Danah throws you for a loop. Book one had my mouth gaping, and this book did just the same. My heart was flying through my chest as I flipped the pages, trying to find out what was going on. This is book two in the series and it’s just as intriguing as the first! It’s suspenseful, and unpredictable. Oh, and the best part? The romance was kicked up a notch. 🔥

Okay so it took me 24 hours to gather my thoughts after I finished this one!!! Danah seriously knows how to keep you guessing because just when you think u have some thing figured out BAM curve ball and your back at square one with that WTH look on your face. Once again the author had me captivated from the get go and all the way through until the very end! Lilly and Rhys give me so much life and I can’t wait to see where their story goes from here! This is book 2 in the series and it was even more amazing than book 1 and I cannot wait to see what book 3 brings us! With each book the story gets better and better and let me tell you it was already great to begin with so I can only imagine how epic the ending will be!!

Crap on a cracker is this series blowing my mind!! I absolutely can not get enough of this series. It’s a real page turner the very beginning and I could not put it down. I honestly have not read a series quite like this one. I usually have figured out a book by now in other series, but this one has me like OMG!
There is not much more that I can reveal without giving secrets away, but it is totally worth reading.
I am now on "pins and needles" for Book #3. Kudos Danah! Amazing series, Brilliant writing!

Gah, this book through me for so many loops, and I thought I knew what was coming next. I loved every second of book 2 as much as book 1. The excitement didn't stop and the answers are slowly starting to trickle in. I believe the author is trying to drive us mad with the anxiety of these books but it's well worth it In the end I'm sure of it! I can't wait to dig into book 3.

I have to say that I thought book 1 was amazing and I loved it, this book just became my favorite. After In the Dark's ending I needed this one so bad and it did not disappoint in the least. Honestly it was better than I imagined it would be. My emotions and thoughts were all over with this one, needing more and wondering what was coming. Definitely can not wait for the next book as I seriously need more.

The twists and turns keep coming! After a major bomb was dropped and you discover the identity of "him", you think the worst has hit and the rest is smooth sailing. Nope! Danah takes you on a zigzag path that constantly keeps you guessing without realizing something is going to hit you from left field. While you receive a lot of pieces to the puzzle, you are no where close to even being able to tell what the final picture is. Everything ramps up in this book: the secrets, the intensity and the chemistry between Lilly and Rhys. Ends in a major cliffhanger and can't wait to read the next book!

This second installment of the series is just as good as the first and I found myself falling even more into the story and In love with the characters especially the ones that were introduced to us more in this book. I couldn't put it down and read this one in nearly one sitting. Again the pace was brilliant and the suspense kept building whilst also getting answers to some of the questions we had previously. I love seeing how the relationships develop between the characters and am easily left wanting more. One of my favourite series of the year so far and cannot wait to see what happens in Lily and Rhys's last book.

Wow....i just love how this story is progressing! It has certainly taken a darker turn from book one! There is still so many secrets and lies!

We have had some answers, but just as you think you know where the story is heading the author throws another bomb into the plot which makes you question what is actually going on and who you can trust!! I still have so many unanswered questions, especially from Lilly's dad (I just don't trust him at all)
I am falling more and more for Rhys as he struggles with how best to protect and support Lilly. I genuinely love their chemsitry and interactions.

I am so excited to see how Lilly and Rhys' story concludes!! I can't wait to find out who is behind everything and why! I really love this story!

I received an ARC from the author and this is my honest review!

WOW! I thought Book 1 had a lot of twists and turns but Book 2 has even more! The author, Danah, has done a phenomenal job at keeping the plot moving full speed ahead from Book 1 to 2. So much more mystery, suspense and steamy romance in Book 2. The featured relationships have grown and become more intense and connected. The female lead continues to be a badass young woman, who impresses the reader more and more every page with her intelligence, determination and strength. The story line keeps my mouth gaping wide open as more secrets are unveiled and the "Him" character is revealed. I still have so many unanswered questions, and I know the author will have so many more twists and turns to come. I cannot WAIT to read Book 3!!

My brain has melted! I repeat! My brain has melted! It is on fire, and it is spreading! Call me some hot firemen and delicious medics to help me out here, because this shit just got crazy.
Lily and Rhys: rooting for you babies!
The friends are awesome.
The family is questionable...very questionable.
And bum-bump-bump-bah, HIM has a name! The story of HIM is going to make a huge curve on your theory of the drama ahead.
Now there is a HER?! New character, who dis? Well, HER be crazy, and I am dying to know more!
Lies and twists are tearing everyone apart. A story is being unfolded, and it seems not everyone knows the whole story they thought they knew. BOOK 3? WHAT NEXT?

So you have discovered who "He" is. But who the hell is "Her?" I thought he was bad but maybe he isn't. Maybe everyone else is and he is the good guy. This story just keeps growing, it's roots going deeper. In The Dark was just the tip of the iceburg. There is so much more to Lilly and Rhys's story!
This is my new favorite series, it has everything I could want in a book. Lilly is a bad ass. She is strong and smart and follows her heart over the rules. I can't wait to see how this series ends!

I have been enjoying this series and its edginess feel. It reminds me of Meli Raine's series - Harmless, Shameless, etc. Where slowly a massive conspiracy theory is revealed and everyone is playing their parts to hide the dark secrets and making sure nothing is ever revealed. In Out of the Dark, we continue Lily's story from where it ended on the cliffhanger in Book #1. We learn that Lily has been kidnapped again and we discover the true identity of her kidnapper who is known as "him" and his relationship with Lily. This surprised me a little how he was connected to her. The other thing that I did like about Out of the Dark was we had a "her" who also has been busy monitoring Lily over the years. I wonder if this is her biological mother Emily but we won't find out more until Book #3. The part that did frustrate me though was Tristan and Heather's reactions as I wanted to know why they had high-tech security. Out of the Dark did answer some questions, but also left me with a whole new set of unanswered questions, which I hope Book #3 will answer. I almost would have rated this book 4Ps but the whole secrecy angle even with her friends frustrated the hell out of me and was like I get what's going on, but they would have understood and kept Lily's secret - maybe even better than Mr. Moody Rhys where I was like I get you love Lily, but jeez Louise - let her be, she has everything under control and isn't this freaking delicate wee flower, she's strong so back off a bit. I am now looking forward to Book #3 as I hope for a rounded conclusion of what happened the first time Lily was kidnapped and why all this secrecy is surrounding her.

4.5 stars! What a conundrum!

Out of the Dark is the second installment in The Dark Series and must be read after book #1.
The book starts exactly where In the Dark left and, although we get some precious answers, a great deal of questions arise. Danah Logan follows up with a very intricate plotline, ingeniously intertwining past and present where the key players have their own agendas, some known, others not so much.
By now, we know who HIM is and even though we wanted to hate him at the beginning, we can't help feel for him and deeply empathize with his situation. About HER, I have my suspicions, but there's still a lot going on behind the scenes. It was beautiful to watch Lilly and Rhys together, adressing their feelings and loving each other from afar, given the convoluted circumstances and environment regarding Lilly's absence. Everything is still pretty much tight and there's a lot to uncover, making for a great commitment to the characters and the intrigue itself.
A great read!

I received a free copy of the book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions are my own.

4.5 stars!

I really really like this series! 😍 Amazingly creative writing! So much is happening... and none of it was something I could have predicted!!! Which is kinda unique. Just like In the Dark, Out of the Dark 'feels' somewhat slow and long winded… but, honestly, it is never boring! Suspense, mystery and so so many secrets, so many twists and turns; what a deliciously intricate story! 🤩
Everything is very 'high school-ish' though and maybe that's exactly why this book isn't a solid 5 star read for me?? Because, despite it being a truly amazing and extremely creative story, I wasn't 'blown away'! New/young adult rarely gives me that 'fan-f*cking-tastic'-feeling. Can't explain it... 😏 it's just 'a feeling'. {T'is ut nét niet!}
And one thing was really striking: ⚠️⚠️
Nevertheless: unbelievable this series is Danah Logan's debut; I'm truly impressed! 👍🏻 And I absolutely love this series!! 😍
Out of the Dark also has an open ending... so I desperately need book #3, Of Light and Dark!!!
Thanks you Danah Logan for the ARC!! 😘

In the Dark (The Dark #1) by Danah Logan Out of the Dark (The Dark #2) by Danah Logan Of Light and Dark (The Dark #3) by Danah Logan Because of the Dark (The Dark #4) by Danah Logan

PS: I'm already looking forward to the other books in the series!! I wouldn't mind Denielle ending up with 'Him'! I love a good age gap! 😁

Awesome

Another suspenseful ride with some questions answered and more questions appearing. We know who 'Him' is and I absolutely fell in love with him. We are introduced to 'Her' and find out a little bit more about Rhys' parents role. I absolutely adore Lilly and Rhys, they are such a great couple. I am very eagerly awaiting book 3!

I cant explain how good OOTD is. Book 1 takes you on a small journey, leaving you with THAT cliffhanger... But Whatever you have imagined happening after that... Forget it! Haha Danah has really flipped the script with this and you are not ready for the rollercoaster ride you are about to embark on. Plenty of new characters, including 'Her'.. And i cant wait to find out who and what her deal is.. and also that freaky guy from the coffee shop in Book 1. This is a series you cant put down, and you definitely wont forget it! Bring on Book 3!

This booked picked up exactly after the first books cliffhanger.
The unknown character ‘Him’ is revealed early on but again there’s more unpredictable plot twists that had me inhaling this story til the end.

I seriously love the connection that Lilly and Rhys have. Nothing comes easy but their love is solid and they’re both always trying to put each other’s safety and happiness above all.

And their friends Den and Wes are the best! Especially Den with her confidence and direct attitude. Her blunt comments had me laughing out loud but overall there’s nothing that would turn them against their friends.

Just when book one kept you on your toes, book two sends you spiraling for a dizzying second act. Picking up right where book one ended, you're thrust back into all things, Lilly. We find out who "he" is and are tossed in a "her" to guess the intentions.
When I read this, I was glued to my Kindle. I believe there was a sleepless night. I say only one because when you power through, there is no break allowed. This book will have you doing just that. You will want to devour this story, and along the way, it will consume you.
"He" came out of left field, and Danah did a gloriously fabulous job of keeping you guessing who "he" is until she wanted to deliver the goods. I was shocked, nervous, and curious. Not knowing where the story would take me but enjoying the journey I am on.
Lilly grows even more as she approaches adulthood. She has to figure out the secrets that she discovered in the dark and work to bring them to light.
I really can't say more, because anything else would be unfair to new readers. This book is another cliffhanger, so put on your big girl panties and wait for book three if you can't handle the ride. The plot from the first story builds and grows in book two. We have some answers, but even more questions. I'm eager to see how the author closes all those little plot nuggets we are dying to learn about, especially if Kat takes a dirt nap LOL.
Overall, this story has 5 amazing sparkly pointe shoes to help you out of the dark as you read this thrilling novel. I couldn't put it down and highly recommend it to everyone.

FYI, this review is for the whole set because once you read the first, you’ll NEED to read the rest 🙌🏼 trust me. You’ll not
only want to, but you’ll need to.

I devoured the first two books in one sitting, and only took a little longer with the third because of life circumstances. It kept me engaged throughout, always guessing who HE was and then when I thought I had it all figured out, the author drops another head scratcher on our lap! 🤯🤯🤯🤯

I consider myself to be pretty good at figuring out plots but this one kept me guessing, which is AMAZING.

The romance was a little light in the first book but it picks up by the second and by then I was so fully invested, that I wanted it all. These character are sure to love long beyond the pages of these books 🥰🥰 Swoon, Wes is mine.

Point blank, if you love suspense with a touch of romance then you definitely need this series in your life.

If it is possible to set a PR for reading, I did it with this book. I read the entire second half in one night. When I say I could not put it down...

Lord. Have. Mercy.

The attention to detail as we move through the series is incredible. I find myself gasping out-loud when I put together facts throughout the story.
