They are aligned in such a way that when the pages are turned the figures are united in holy conjunction by the alchemical reader. Different reflective relationships -- alchemic opposites and complementaries -- are explored between the pages.

This book was recommended by Sorita d'Este, a priestess whose work I respect a great deal. I was really excited by the artwork in Conjunctio, it evokes a range of emotions I did not think possible by just looking at "just pictures". There is something more about this artist and his work, each image is a ritual in itself and I found myself tracing the lines with my eyes, an act which resulted in some amazing trance experiences. So if you want a beautifully produced work of art, being the book itself as well as the treasures it contain, this book is a very worthwhile investment.
