This is a book that is great for people who are either curious, or just starting out with Tarot and Astrology.
It explains the overall meaning and symbolism behind each card, star sign and planet separately before linking it all together.
Though I gave it five stars, I wish there was some more information regarding how to do a tarot based on your natal chart; I don’t think it covered this. But, I suppose that might be a more advanced level perhaps (if possible).
Nonetheless, this book covers all the basics and also includes pictured exemplary ways to draw cards and do a reading. It has loads of art work and beautiful imagery that strives to be inclusive which is a bonus.
It’s easy to follow, clear and concise and I recommend this book to anyone curious about tarot and astrology.
This book will work well with ‘The Only Astrology Book You’ll Ever Need’ by Joanna Woolfolk 🙏🏽
This is an easy-to-read book that is good not just for the novice, but for anyone who wants a deeper understanding of how to mesh the practices of astrology and Tarot. One thing I especially liked was her upfront statement “Neither tarot nor astrology is a replacement for medical treatment or therapy, and there is no shame in asking for help.” While these practices can help you focus on aspects of your life, they are not a substitute for mental-health help. What this book, and these practices, do, is help you come to a deeper understanding of yourself. Together, they enhance each other for a stronger reading.
The author gives you a basis or foundation of both the tarot and astrology and common misconceptions of the tarot: it does not predict the future but is a tool for deeper understanding and personal growth. It is also not magic or dangerous. Edington gives you a complete overview and evolution of both. In tarot, she explains the Major and Minor Arcanas as well as the elements of astrology such as planets, houses, and modalities.
Finally, she gives you sample spreads and readings to help you further understand how to combine the two into one. There is also a comprehensive glossary and index to help you find what you want when you want it.
Recommendation: Highly recommended for anyone interested in enhancing their practices by combining these two subjects.

This was a really good book about Tarot, Astrology, and how different aspects of both can be interpreted. I did listen to it, so I was unable to easily access the visual components that I would have needed if I were to actually plan on implementing the information provided within. As my interest was strictly academic this did not effect my enjoyment or learning in a significant way. If you are listening or reading this book to actually learn how to read Tarot Cards and create Astrological Profiles then I recommend having the accompanying print material at hand.
This is not my typical read, but I am delighted by this book. I am definitely a beginner in understanding Tarot and have held many of the false assumptions outlined at the start. This insightful, pragmatic, and beautiful book brings together Tarot and astrology in an accessible and interesting way. I adore the artwork, layout, colors, figures, all of it. Time to find a Tarot deck of my own.

This was enjoyable and informative. I listened to it as an audiobook but I would recommend a physical copy. I think it's one that will be referred back to.
