the MC is a 100.000 year old ginseng spirit with baby face and a petite figure,so people always mistaken his age like a 15 year boy with beautifull face.he is very simple minded and straight forward.trying and learning to become much more like human to avoid human suspicion.at the beginning MC want to keep ML as his possesion because dark soil on ML body is his reserve food.but with more interaction MC falling in love with ML.
ML is an injured marshall.he already giving his hope for life because a chaotic energy on his body.with the help of MC finally ML can recovered and become more powerfull than before.at the beginning there a missunderstanding and the ML thougt that MC helping him and his family because of love.so that make ML feels conflict because he thougt MC still an underage and trying to protect MC more.
this is a sweet fluffy and hilarious story with a lot of action scene.

Don't ask me what's going on with this book but it was hilarious 😂! I don't want to stop and rethink what I read. In fact, I don't even know what genre this is. If you're looking for something fun and angst-free, and you don't care about unscientific things and mpreg, this book is for you!

Damn, as much as I want to 5* the novel, I really couldn't stand the last 1/3 (?) / Rouya Arc. It felt long-winded and draggy. I mean without the Arc, the novel would be too short but the arc was a little too long.

I liked that MC and ML was not too OP, and even faced some setbacks. I loved the face-slapping which occurs frequently, especially when those antagonists keep getting their face/ reputation thrown away. However, I personally felt that their comeuppance could have been more severe.

It's also a little... cringe / awkward (?) that some aspect of the novel is kind of exaggerated. Especially the number of babies being conceived. Like wtf?!

However, I do have to admit that the humor in this novel was pretty good. For example, I lost it at one sentence "... just stay at home and be a secret weapon". The fluff and candy was also plenty. No smut, little angst.

May read again?

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. It has a good balance of action, romance, science fiction, and comedy. The MC is not predictable and well balanced with the ML. The misunderstandings of the MC and his repeated failures to communicate enhanced the storyline. I liked the way the author unveiled the identity and special attributes of the MC, Ren Sheng. It kept me anticipating the capabilities of his treasure like body.

Rating: 3.5/5- This is a super cute novel but it’s a once off read.

The characters are cute and fluffy but there are definite shota vibes that did make me uncomfortable in some places. The story is also rather simple so it’s more of a get your mind off of life type of read.

I like babies, so of course I enjoyed the little ginseng babies and the other babies too.

Overall it’s enjoyable but I preferred the author’s other work much more (not sure which one came first actually)
