Pizza for Everyone is the long-lost church cookbook for those who grew up on the tavern-cut slices of Chicagoland. It's 200 comb-bound pages of recipes, essays, and art on the subjects, of pizza, Chicago, and pizza in Chicago. Includes recipes for making tavern-style pizza, deep dish, Detroit squares, and more. Plus notes on frozen pizza, dank corner bars, and why the 1992 X-Men arcade game is the peak of the form.
I’m admittedly a little biased since I’m friends with the author, and he cooks some of the best pizzas I’ve had in my life, but this is the kind of addition to your cookbook collection you just can’t miss. Whimsical, nostalgia-filled, and packed with great recipes. Time to warm up the pizza steel.
