A little confusing. Things are said at the end like I had been wondering if this was part of The Fey series and it is but I don't know if it's a prequel or a sequel. 3-1/2 stars
I really loved reading this short story, which focuses on the yet unexplored part of the Fey universe. I am dying to read more ! I am really admiring how Kristine Kathryn Rusch succeeds to create diverse realistic cultural backgrounds in the same story universe.
I am unaware of the greater Fey universe, but that did not impede my enjoyment of the story. This tale of exploration reminds me a great deal of playing Guild Wars and trying to reach places that were obviously not meant to be reached.
Lately I’ve been having difficulty getting lost in a story and just enjoying myself and relaxing, but this short story did that and I can’t wait to read more in this world.
