No matter your what you tend to read in the paranormal genre, there is a story for you here in Shift Happens. I can't pick a favorite since I loved them all, but C.D. Gorri is a favorite of mine. This is an amazing collection of talent.

There are a lot of good stories in this anthology. These are two of my favorite.


Hell on Wheels by Cassandra Featherstone
This story reveals to us the cut-throat side of roller derby, comparing it with the even more literally cut-throat world of the paranormal criminal underground in Bay City. I can't wait to read more of the derby scrimmages, these skaters are fierce and wily. I loved this new magic world and can't wait to see more of it. Represented in the harem alone we have: the Fae step-brother, a lion shifter, a phoenix and The Gemini Twins (demons). These guys are as varied in physique and personality as they are in species. They all have common ground in how much they want Rogue, and to keep her safe.

The guys in Rogue's life quickly gather around her when she's viciously attacked. Protecting her isn't easy when she abhors the idea of being anything less than self sufficient. Any hint of boundaries or someone doubting she's 100% capable of taking care of herself (in every situation) sends her balking and acting the brat. It will take all of the guys showing they are motivated by care and not judgement to get things to run smoothly, and we'll have to see how long it takes for all of them to get on the same page for that.


A Bleacke Meeting by Leslie Richardson
I have read a book in this series before (Bleacke's Geek) so I was interest in seeing what this standalone short story would entail. The author packs a whole lot of action for her characters in a short two days. Aaron is an enforcer called out to look into a request for assistance in the area he maintains for his wolf pack. He has no idea if the situation is serious or mundane, so he chooses not to bring any backup. Upon finding the area, but unable to find the pack members who called him out, he'll have to do more investigating. He immediately doesn't have a good feeling about this, and he's not wrong.

Lowry needs Aaron's help saving her family. She'll need to take that leap of faith to trust him, and trust that the fallout that comes from this confrontation will be worth it. She was so strong and capable, I was seriously impressed. This author does a good job of writing super strong female characters (read: Dewi from the previous book I'd read.)

Ooooh a treasure trove of shifters and more
And I loved them all!
I had fun flying through these stories reading from some authors I already knew and finding new ones along the way.
Even going to book sites to find some of the authors just to follow them and to follow up on a couple of follow up stories.
Some of these had some really hot scenes in them too.......woah!
When they said (anthology of scorching hot Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy stories) they meant it!
You won't regret this collection if you have a mind like mine shhhh lol.

I received an ARC of this book from Booksprout, and this is my honest, unbiased review. This is an anthology of several stories by authors such as CD Gorri and Gina Kincade. I was not able to read every story as I couldn't get into some, but the ones I did read were absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this book.

This book was filled will so many amazing stories written by a lot of talented authors. 11 amazing stories wrapped up in 1 fantastic book. Fabulous authors like Cassandra Featherstone, Erica Himy, and Bethany Shaw to name a couple. Tons of different shifters filled with action and suspense. A must read.

I was lucky enough to enjoy Lulu Sylvain’s Berserker Boys Boar. It’s part of this anthology and although it may be short, it does not lack content or developed characters. Be prepared to experience cosplay…I learned about its intricacies in this read. Of course we meet the hot alpha Scottie as he wrestles with his attraction to Maisie. Enjoyable❤️❤️

I loved this book. There were so many stories that it took me sometimes a day to read each story and sometimes a couple days to finish it. Each story was interesting and held my attention. There was RH, enemies, unexpected love, and many more tropes all dealing with shifters. I came across many authors i knew and some knew ones that I will have to check out after reading this bundle. Definitely a recommended read for anyone because there is definitely something there for you, if you enjoy shifter reads!.

This book was a great way to end the series of Berserker Boys. Scottie is scattered brained but is smart and successful is his life. Maisie has been in love with him forever. Being kidnapped into a different world brings out the true feeling of these would be lovers. Good read!

I love anthologies because it gives me an easy introduction to authors I may not otherwise have discovered. There is a good mix of stories in this anthology, I initially wanted to read it because of the story by Erzabet Bishop, but my absolute favourite was Hell on Wheels by Cassandra Featherstone. Reverse harem, fae roller derby chick is just awesome. I can’t wait to read more by this author, and for the sequel to this story to be released. My second favourite was the story by Bethany Shaw, Undercover Dragon , this was also intriguing and very interesting.

No matter what your favorite shifter is this book has them all. And some of the best shifter authors ever too. I loved every story in the book. 11 stories in all with 11 great authors. C.D. Gorrie's Moongate Island Mate and Undercover Dragon by Bethany Shaw are just a couple of my favorites. All the books in this anthology are great. You can not go wrong with these stories. Amazing Anthology.

Book filled with numerous stories from different authors. While I did read most of the stories (some of them I could not get into), I did love the variety of shapeshifter stories there was available. Here are a few of my favorites:

Amnesia – What happens when you wake up and realize you don’t remember anything from your past life and that you have 3 mates? Artemis was a snowy owl shifter who always ran when things got to be too much for her to handle. Lunx, Jakkal and Ignatius are her mates who will go through anything and do anything to get their Arte back. Will Arte likes what she finds out or will it all be too much and she run off again?

Coming for You – Rogue and her stepbrother Rebel are Faes. Bring in a blonde god, gangster twins and a phoenix and you’ve got one hell of a mating group. Rogue has always been the “little sister” to Rebel and his friends, or so she thought. Let the adventures begin when someone puts a price on Rogue’s head and all of a sudden, she has a group of men that will do anything to protect her, even if she doesn’t want it.

This collection is full of engaging stories by some amazing writers. I found the stories wonderfully written and enjoyable to read. You have hrs. of enjoyable reading in this box set. My reviews are on Amnesia and Moongate Island Mate.
Amnesia by TL Reeve and Michele Ryan
This story was written by two new writers for me and is about Artemis a snowy owl shifter who got in an accident and was taken to Dr. Abas where three men waited for her. Artemis discovers she lost her memory. A year later Artemis volunteers to participate in a fund-raising event for Dr. Abas where she's won by Lynx, Jakkal, and Ignatius. Artemis agrees to live with them for three months where they can wine, dine and woo her. Lynx, Jakkal, and Ignatius are her mates that she forgot, is this their chance to win her back?
Moongate Island Mate by C.D. Gorri
This story is by one of my favorite writers and a Moongate Island story which is another favorite of mine. This story is about Meadow Romana a physical therapist who got fired and dumped by her ex-fiancé and sees an ad in a newspaper about an international job. Arriving on the island she meets her new patient, Adrian Donnelly. Adrian is a seal shifter whose foot got blown off during a mission. He is despondent and angry that his friends hired a therapist until he scents and sees her for Meadow is his mate and a human. Can Meadow get Adrian to embrace life again? Will she accept him being a shifter?

Hell On Wheels by Cassandra Featherstone

Oh I loved this story. It has so much humor, action, suspense, drama, and mystery. It pulled me in front the very beginning and didn’t let go. I absolutely adored “Wheels” Rogue and the guys. She is kick butt with a sassy attitude. There were moments that had me laughing out loud and then moments that you felt the pain that they were going through. It was a great length for the anthology. It wasn’t too short nor to long. I absolutely can see a full series that would pull you in. I love the magic and mayhem that happens in it. There are some sexy moments that were beautifully written. It is a story that draws you in and doesn’t let go. This story is absolutely stunning and a must read. It will not disappoint. The ending though, oh my goodness! It does end in a cliffhanger and I absolutely can’t wait to see what happens next.

I read Hell on Wheels by Cassandra Featherstone and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I got so hooked on the story that when it ended, I pouted! I kept trying to turn to the next page but there was no more! That’s the only fault I had with it. Otherwise, it was really great. I enjoyed the characters and the world Cassandra created. Each character is so different, but they all seem to work really well together, well, they have to figure out the sharing thing still, but I have no doubt they will figure it out. I haven’t really read many books based around roller derby so that was fun for something a bit different. I am looking forward to reading about more derby bouts! The shifters were all so cool, and different, each so unique in their own way! Plus, there are twins… so YAY, you can’t go wrong with twins in my opinion! I really enjoyed this short story, and I’m looking forward to reading the next one, I need more of this amazing world!

If you’re into paranormal shifter romance this is the boxed set to read; you’re in for an awesome treat. There are thirteen different authors that will take you on journeys with bear shifters, dragon shifters, wolf shifters, vampires all with awesome plots. All of these are new authors to me except for C.D. Gorri. When I received this ARC and saw that C.D. Gorri was one of the authors I knew that I was in for a treat. This is an enjoyable read with a great collaboration on the authors parts. All of the short stories flow and give you an insight of the authors writing skill. I will most definitely be looking for more from these authors. Pick up your copy today and check out the other authors mentioned in this boxed set; you most definitely will not be disappointed.

Included in the Shift Happens Anthology

I don’t know whether to love and adore Cassandra or to absolutely hate her. Can I do both at the same time? Because I’m pretty sure I do.

I love her for giving us this book. She’s one of my go to authors for smart, strong, snarky characters. Rogue and her guys are no different.

Rogue is a great fmc. She’s smart, strong, and a complete HBIC. But, she has these pockets of vulnerability about her past. One by one, Rogue knocks the guys down, like a row of falling dominoes.

As Rebel’s best friends, Damon, Angelo, Javi and Archer have been friends with Rogue since they met. They’ve all been crushing on her, and now’s their chance to build something and they’re running with it.

Rebel, step-brother extraordinaire, on the other hand, refuses to move Rogue from the sibling zone, despite not actually being related. But sparks that flare up between him and Rogue, every time they clash. This man has all the right possessive, protective tendencies. But, oh man did I want to smack him upside the head a few times (a lot). He is completely oblivious to the sparks between himself and Rogue; to the point where it became a running joke. This man is in desperate need of someone to pull his head out of his behind. Rebel tries his hardest to control Rogue, and Rogue ignoring him and doing her own thing is hilarious.

Now, you may be wondering, why, after all those amazing things, do I hate Cassandra? Because this isn’t the whole book. She included the first 17 chapters in the anthology and it’s awful. How dare she write such a fun book with amazing characters, a heck of a lot of suspense and heat, and a great (and funny) cliffhanger? Then, tease and taunt me by only including a bit in the anthology! I don’t know how I’m going to wait for the rest of Rogue’s story. Waiting is clearly not my best skill.

If you enjoy, snark, sarcasm, and an excellent paranormal RH, or just want to try Cassandra’s writing, definitely heck out this snippet of Hell on Wheels. Now the only thing left is when do we get the rest of the story?

This is my second collection from shifters unleashed. There was a wide mix of stories in this one. I will say there were a few not for me, but several had me over the moon.

One was "wicked for you" by Ezrabet Bishop. It was a sassy and dangerous fated mate story with hints of Cinderella. I loved the awe from Sage and Carrick when they recognize each other. I am excited that there are more books to this series. Will definitely be picking them up.

"Undercover dragon" by Bethany Shaw deals with juggling his protection assignment and meeting his human mate, who has no idea shifters exist. Sense of a bigger world with Myles' team showing up, but still pleasant to read on own.

"Tagged" by Sassa Daniels offers an arranged marriage that is much different than what it look like it will be from the betrothal. I enjoyed seeing the other facets of Lukas' character. He has no problem bringing out his dark side to protect Elena. They make quite the team.

I was floored by "Berserker Boys Boar" by Lulu M. Sylvain. I had previously read the story with Yeardley at the previous con and was excited to be back in their world again. Scottie and Maisie are forced to stop dancing around each other. It is the scariest and best thing that could have happened.

Loved finding some authors that are new to me and getting a taste of their writing.

This book has a collection of 11 paranormal romances where fated mates find each other. I I have read just a few of these stories and enjoyed them all. This book contains stories of both regular shifters like bears and wolves and more unusual ones like fur seals. My favorite story was Moongate Island mate. Adrian was a ex-mercenary who lost part of his leg in action. He is fighting against physical therapy to adjust to his loss but his friends hire Meadow, a human PT to help him out. He is shocked to find out she is his mate. Meadow was desperate to find a job. Her fiance boss leaves her for her best friend leaving her with no job or home. Getting the job on Moongate Island is just what she needs and she won't let a grumpy patient chase her off.

I am enjoying this book and can't wait to read the other stories. I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

Shift Happens is another fabulous addition to the Shifters Unleashed collection and is jam-packed with Shapeshifter Paranormal and Urban Fantasy stories. There’s no better way to grab a multitude of sexy, intriguing, and swoon-worthy romances than an anthology packed to the rafters with exciting tales. Some of my favourite authors are included, such as Gina Kincade
C.D. Gorri, and Erzabet Bishop, but there are also many more to meet and enjoy. An entertaining assortment of stories, with something that is sure to appeal to all paranormal romance readers!
